Righteousness - Part 2

[Recording of “Righteousness - Part 1” ends in the middle of a discussion of Ps. 85 v.8. Recording of Part 2 begins in the middle of a discussion of v.9 - Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.]

Ps. 85 - Righteousness & Peace

0:00 - Jesus mediating on our behalf. A Man representing man.

1:10 - v.10 - Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other. - Righteousness and peace go together. When you receive righteousness, you’ll realize that you have peace with God.

1:30 - God was excited when Jesus was born - Because He loves us - The birth of Jesus. Angels announce, “Glory to God in the highest. Peace on earth. Good will towards man.” God was excited because His Son was on the scene. “World, I’ve come to save you. I’ve come to deliver. I was not moved by sin. I know how bad it’s been but I’m still God. Peace on earth. Good will towards men. My Son is on the earth.” Thirty years before the cross and God is shouting and prophesying. He’s excited. Not impatient. That’s how much He loves us.

3:05 - God was so excited to show us how much He loved us. But He waited for the fullness of time so that we could see how bad it had gotten - see through the law how bad it was - so that we would be humble, turn back to God - realize our need for a Savior.

3:35 - Jesus was eventually heading to the cross and here was God shouting, “Good will towards man.”

3:45 - Rom. 5:1-2 - Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. - We have peace with God.

Psalms 112 - A Righteous Man

4:05 - Righteousness - The ability to stand right before God.

4:15 - Ps. 112 v.1 - Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. - How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. - Ps.119:9. You can’t change yourself but the word will change you as you release your faith - as you say “yes” to God. The word will cleanse - not your great effort. Seeing who God is through His word and saying yes to God. Grace starts transforming. Then God gets all of the glory.

4:50 - v.2-3 - His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed. Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever. - Why? Because God won’t change His mind - even after a million years. Example. Righteousness endures. Once God says that you’re right, you’re right. Don’t let the devil lie to you - depress you.

6:00 - Receiving God’s love / resisting God’s love.

6:35 - v.4 - Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous. - Righteousness puts your life in order. It allows who God is to come into you. Until you say, “I’m righteous before You. Thank You for making me right in Your sight.” - before you get in that realm, you will never manifest what God has given us through His Son. It will be in your spirit but laying dormant. There is no release of who you really are until you know that you’re righteous.

7:20 - Boldness - The righteous are as bold as the lion - Ps. 28:1. Confidence in praying for the sick. Praying in faith through love.

8:25 - Tumor in abdomen - Only thing prayed, “Jesus.” I preached the word and spoke His name. God burned it out in 60 seconds.

8:50 - We think it has something to do with our prayer. We put more faith in our ability to pray than His ability to move on what we believe.

Righteous Man - Identity Never Shaken

9:10 - v.5 - A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. - This gives you an idea of how strongly you walk in righteousness. A righteous man will never be shaken. Why? Because he hears God’s words and does them. His house is on the rock.

9:30 - The same storm comes to the foolish and the wise. Your trouble isn’t your trouble. It’s a demon war against Jesus. You’re in the middle and have the right to reflect His glory. You’re not on the enemy’s side. You’re on God’s side and God will make you stand. So trust and believe. You’ll never be shaken.

10:35 - The faithfulness of God towards those that believe.

11:00 - Prayers motivated by fear and not faith. Example.

11:50 - Dead leg - Doctor: Why did you wait 3 days?

12:00 - Opposition to faith from the church.

12:15 - Dead leg (cont.) - Rebuke from doctor. You will lose your leg. Smiled. “It’s not my leg to lose or yours to take. I’ve been bought with a price. I belong to Jesus.” She got so mad.

13:50 - Opposition from the church. And response.

14:40 - The righteous are not shaken. My leg is not my identity. My problem is not my identity. Jesus is my identity and He is Lord. It’s not that I can’t see the problem, it’s just not Lord.

15:15 - Dead leg (cont.) -

15:30 - God’s faithfulness to keep His promises. Your experience may indicate that sometimes says, “No.” But His word says that He always says “Yes.” 2 Cor. 1:18

16:30 - Prayers from fear. It’s not denial. It’s just not me. I’m in the Christ. My life is hidden in Him. I understand that He died for me so that I could live.

18:00 - Dead leg (cont.) - preached a healing service - What about your leg? My leg doesn’t determine the gospel. The gospel determines my leg.

18:25 - Without knowing that you are righteous, you won’t have that kind of faith - right with God.

18:40 - Dead leg (cont.) - 8 people came to the altar. Be healed in Jesus name. Never touched any one. Like lightning. All eight healed. A rational mind would say, “What about me?”

19:45 - Dead leg (cont.) - Discharged self from hospital. 2 days later decided to go to church. Leg comes alive. Instantly healed. Rejoiced. Excited. Walking to church. “I’m coming with you daddy!” Drove instead.

Righteous is a Gift - Receive It - Wear Your Righteous Identity

23:20 - Go to Rom. 5:17…

23:40 - Righteousness is a gift. You have to receive a gift. Otherwise the gift does no good. You’d never receive the blessing intended by the giver’s heart. You have to receive your righteousness. Open it up and put it on. It’s a robe - of righteousness.

24:20 - Robe of righteousness

24:30 - Wedding clothes - the righteous robe.

24:50 - Let God love you and love through you.

25:10 - Don’t be hurt by the situation but be hurting for the situation.

25:25 - Rom. 5:17 - For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) -

25:35 - All men were born into sin - born into Adam. Death came to all because of sin. Death reigned. You were damned to sin and live separate from God from the time you were born.

War Against Righteous Identity

26:25 - Satan would love to keep you from receiving the gift of righteousness.

26:45 - Satan’s fall. Pridefull declaration - throne above God’s. Now He believes that if he can get to you, he can get to God because you are created in God’s image. You are his access point to God. If he can get to you he can stop the will of God - using fear, doubt, willful sin. Every time a believer is involved in these they put satan above God. He can’t force his way into heaven. So he is going to try to reign in your life - above God. “See, I told you I would rise above God.”

28:35 - Satan gets power as people relinquish power to him. Man created a monster.

29:10 - But Jesus crushed satan’s head. Satan’s the worm in the dirt. You are not the worm. That’s his curse. But he likes to make you like him. He wants you believing that you are a worm. Satan is still trying to fulfill his prideful declaration - throne above God’s. But don’t give him access to the will of God by giving him access to your heart and soul. Sell out to God today. Say no to sin and compromise.

30:20 - Let Him dress you in a robe of righteousness.

Receiving Righteousness (cont.)

30:30 - Receiving the abundance of grace.

30:50 - Ministering at New Life for Girls - Never moved in unity with Holy Spirit as much as when I go there. Why? Where sin abounded, grace has come all the more.

31:50 - Self-righteousness - because of what you do. God never asked you to do but to turn to Him.

32:35 - All have same value - Alabaster jar - harlot lady. Forgiven much, love much. Self-righteousness. We all need the blood. God sees every man in need of the blood. Raised up valleys. Mountains brought low.

34:50 - We all carry the same value. Different lives - same value.

35:15 - Rom. 5:17 - Death was reigning. But when you put on righteousness you will reign in life. Not talking about heaven but here. So open the gift. Examples of receiving righteous.

36:45 - Feelings vs. Faith - Don’t live by how you feel but by faith. Examples. What I feel means absolutely nothing.

37:10 - Feelings while praying for the sick - vibrating arm - face numb. I took the feelings from you so you can minister unlimited. Bold when feeling but I’ve called you to minister by faith. I don’t need to feel anything.

39:45 - v.20 - Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: - God was trying to show us that we couldn’t do it through our own strength. That we need grace. So why are Christians still trying to do it by their own strength?

40:50 - v.21 - That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. - Grace reigns through righteousness. Grace comes when you receive it through the righteous identity that Jesus brought you. Why do Christians feel dry, powerless, weary? Because they are not wearing their righteousness (by faith) and grace has no target to hit. (Grace meets faith.)

41:30 - God supplies what is needed to do what He asks you to do. Example of believing that God will touch.

42:35 - Ministering - people feeling God’s presence from a distance. I didn’t do anything. It was faith working through love.

43:25 - Grace is reigning, not death.

Rom. 6 - Wear His Gift of Righteousness

43:30 - Rom. 6 - 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. -

43:30 - v.1 - This is an issue in the church today.

43:40 - v.2 - The way to be born again is die to yourself - die to sin - the thing that was destroying you.

43:55 - v.3-6 - If you know this why are you looking back? Forget what lies behind and press on. 45:10 - You are remembering my past. God took out the garbage.

45:40 - God was excited on the day of Pentecost - come right inside of my people again.

46:00 - Breath of God - Breathing life into Adam - breathing life into disciples. The redemption of man as if sin never was. Back to the garden. Holy Spirit back into man.

46:40 - New birth vs. baptism of the Spirit

46:55 - v.13-14 - Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. 14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. -

47:00 - v.13 - Don’t present your members as instruments of unrighteousness. Stop talking weakness - negativity - failure. Let yourself be a prisoner of righteousness.

47:30 - v.14 - You’re not walking on eggshells. God’s not waiting for you to slip. God is letting you walk by grace so that He can mold you - refine you - and raise you up through the weak tendencies of life. Get your eyes on His strength. His strength will get you through.

48:15 - Paul knows that not everybody is ready to sell out… 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? 17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. 18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. 19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. -

48:25 - v.15 - This truth needs to purify our hearts and cause us to fall desperately in love with God. I’m a man that’s in love. I’m not trying to be good. I’m in love. It’s all about love. Because He first loved me. The Bible tells us. “Yes, Jesus loves me”

49:45 - White daisy - He loves me, He loves me… no He loves me not.

50:05 - It’s not a weird thing. It’s spiritual.

50:40 - v.16 - “Obedience” means that I am believing God’s word. I’m saying “Yes!” to God.

51:20 - v.17-18 - Slaves of righteousness - I’m so chained up. But His burden is easy, His yoke light. I’m yoked up but I’m yoked up to Jesus - to the grace of God.

52:30 - “Amazing grace” - lyrics. Not flaky - I’m free.

53:40 - v.19 - slaves of righteousness - Example of communing truths back to God.

54:45 - Sperm racing to egg - Every life is on purpose and has value. No mistakes. One out of millions - it had to be me. Chill out it’s me. Nothing could stop that.

Righteousness in John 3

➡ 58:10 - I want you to see the love of God in this and I want you to see the righteous judgement of God. - 14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. -

Num. 21 - Serpent in the Wilderness

58:30 - v.14 - Serpent in the Wilderness - Nicodemus had been talking to Jesus. Jesus talking about being born again. And in v.14 - EVEN AS Moses lifted up the serpent, SO SHALL the Son of Man be lifted up.

59:10 - Num. 21 story in detail. God gave Moses instructions. Bronze serpent on a pole and everybody that looked at it was healed. The serpents were killing them. They knew from Deut. 21:23 that anything hanging on a tree was cursed by God. Faith rose up in the hearts of the  people when they saw what was killing them up on a pole - cursed by God. God has cursed your problem - what is killing you. Faith rose in their hearts and they were instantly healed.

1:00:50 - Even as… so shall - God cursed sin on the cross. Jesus was made to be sin. When you look at Jesus on the cross you don’t see Jesus, the Son of God, you see sin cursed. I see my sin. God says, “I’ve cursed what’s killing you. It shall never touch you again. I’ve chosen to put sin on my own Son.” God has cursed sin in the flesh and sin will have no dominion over you. Jesus was made to be sin that we might become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus - 2 Cor. 5:21. God so love the world… God didn’t send Him to condemn, judge, beat down but to save and restore and deliver and to heal the world.

1:02:25 - Pleased God to bruise His Son - So that we would be saved - God was pleased to bruise and crush His Son - Is 53. God is deep. He doesn’t shift and change. He is faithful. It pleased Him because through Jesus they were making an everlasting covenant. And He already knew that He would raise Him on the third day. He knew through His innocent death a guilty world could live. And it pleased Him.

1:04:25 - I believe that God was behind the whole thing saying, “Hit Him again. Hit Him again.” because every time that He was bruised, you could go free - be healed. “Hit Him again so that I can save, deliver, heal. Put Him on that tree - so that I can get to you.”

1:05:15 - Don’t let what is seen overpower what He said - When the disciples saw Him die it overpowered what Jesus had told them about being raised. But what He says is true - not what they saw.

Don’t Be Shaken - Trust His Word

1:06:05 - [Skip in the recording from the discussion above to what follows…]

1:06:05 - Power in laying on of hands.

1:06:15 - Time of prayer to come…

➡ 1:06:45 - ...to solidify these things in our hearts so that when you leave here, you walk out into life armored, equipped and ready for whatever because your identity is found in Him.

1:07:00 - It please God to bruise His Son. That’s the love of the Father for you.

1:07:15 - Abraham believed what God said - asked to give up his son. He never hesitated. That’s when he came to the place of total faith. That’s when he became our father of faith. Every promise was hinging on that son. But Abraham realized that what God promised was going to be true regardless. I will be father of many nations - even if God has to raise this boy from the dead to do it. God will keep His word.

1:08:00 - Jarius - Don’t give up on what God says - Who has ever prayed and it has gotten worse? You can relate to Jarius. She’s dead. Stop hoping, stop believing, stop bothering God with your problems - because it just got way worse. “Don’t be afraid. Only believe.” “You came to me with your request (prayer). Didn’t I say that I would come. The circumstances might have gotten worse but I am still the Lord.”

1:09:15 - Never give up on His word - See like He sees - Too often we let go - give up. Like the disciples, what we see overpowers what He said to us.

1:09:25 - Jesus said that if the eye be good - be single, the body would be full of light. There are no excuses, ifs, ands or buts. If I’m not filled with light, I need to look at my perception - my eye. It’s not anyone else's fault. I need to clean my eye. If I am seeing clear. God’s grace is all over me.

1:10:00 - Keep your righteous identity on - God put righteousness on you. There is not a devil, nor a person that can take it off of you. And God will never take it off of you. YOU are the only one that can slip out of the robe. You are the only one that can undress yourself before God and become naked and ashamed. God dressed you for eternity. Receive His love - His righteousness.

1:11:00 - Time of response and prayer… Communing truth back to God.
