Fasting - Prayer in Fasting

So how do you handle that? [hunger] So here’s just a simple example. You stay in tune. It’s prayer and fasting. Now your prayer isn’t just to get you through fasting. That’s why I said it sounds funny but there is a truth there. The prayer side keeps you focused on why you’re fasting. So you’re not just suffering your body and not eating food. Because, come on. What good does that do? If the finished work of Jesus is finished and it’s enough why do we have to fast to do more, to accomplish something else? Why would I need to fast to cast out a devil when the first sign of the believer is cast out a devil? I don’t have to fast to cast out a devil. I fast to grow in the understanding of who I’ve become so the authority increases and the finger of God is more in my life - meaning the Spirit of God. Right? So I’m fasting to see clearer. I’m fasting to come into the knowledge of truth.1
