Day 49

0:00 - Water baptisms today.
1:10 - Testimony concerning participant - honest with feelings. Tough losses. Tough circs. In Walmart - I have to pray for that little girl. "I see you." Looking into her face. Kept hugging her. Lord explained - seeing Jesus in the woman praying for the girl. You really are in me.
4:00 - The participant laid down all the things that could be issues because of compassion for a little girl. Approached in parking lot. Where is that heart coming from (if He is not in you)?
4:30 - Water baptisms. Bubbles stop - that person dies. Raised in new life.

Water Baptism

5:50 - Let's talk about water baptism - Give you an understanding of the power of it so that you can convey it to others.
6:00 - Baptism in light of relationship - More than just an ordinance or obeying of Jesus. Obedience is a beautiful thing. But in relationship it's not just about, "Well, I ought to do it because He said so." That's the lowest level. I don't want to do it just because I should. I want to understand the heart in things. I want to do things with heart. But if that is not your reality, by all means obey.
7:30 - Re-baptized? - I don't want you to think that every time you get fresh understanding you need to get baptized again. I encourage people that were sprinkled as a child - those that did it as a child just because you were following suit to be baptized.
8:25 - Participant comment on baptism. Waiting so that wife can be there.
10:10 - Mark 16 -
10:25 - New revelation applied to born again baptism - If you have been freshly baptized or baptized after you were born again, when you learn or understand anything extra, just apply your faith to that baptism moment. It's the same grace. It's all about faith. Wow, now I see what I really did and I thank you that's true for me.
10:55 - Participant's motive in being baptized - my own decision - my own heart - my own faith. I want to remember it.

Believe and Be Baptized

11:15 - Child dedications / infant baptisms - I am not against child dedications. Parents release faith in regard to child. I see infant baptisms as more of a child dedication. We actually call child dedications, parent dedications. You are dedicating yourself to train them up in the way of the Lord. You impart who He is into them.
12:00 - Believe and be baptized - Mark 16 - v.15 - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. - This baptism doesn't work with an infant because an infant doesn't have a clue what they are doing. They haven't come to the place where they can believe. It's simple.
12:30 - Baptized - dipped into - immersed into. Water baptism is symbolic of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.
13:00 - Living through Christ - running a stick through paint. That's baptized into Christ. Two become one.
13:15 - Cookie into milk analogy. The two are one and they are good together.
13:25 - Believe and be baptized. The prerequisite for baptism is believing.
14:00 - Death, burial, resurrection - Baptism represents the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. The believer, by faith, steps into an outward sign of an inward grace. You are saying that you are dying in the likeness of His death. What is the likeness of His death?... Let's look at Rom. 6...
14:35 - Saved - Definition of saved. Sozo - saved, healed, delivered, protected, preserved, made whole, kept safe and sound. It doesn't just mean go to heaven. It has very much to do with the here and now. More to do with here and now than heaven. In America "saved" has taken the meaning "going to heaven." No, you are separate from your sins and the Spirit of the living God is in you.
16:00 - Difficulty of translating sozo - What word do you pick? Most of the time they chose "saved." If you just chose "healed" you would miss a lot. The word "saved" is the best word but we've turned it into going to heaven. Saved from hell. No, you are saved from yourself and from sin.

Baptized into His Death - Raised to New Life

17:10 - Dead to sin - Rom. 6 - reading
17:10 - v.1-2 - What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? - You are reckoning yourself dead to sin. You are not trying not to sin. You are enjoying being a son or daughter - wearing your righteousness - walking in truth. You are not trying to be good. You are enjoying being His. Waking up forgiven and free. And your righteous identity in Christ keeps you - puts integrity into you - keeps you from the lusts of the flesh. It's grace not works.
18:10 - Die to sin. Get rid of sin consciousness.
18:15 - Under sin again because of a lack of understanding - Chaplain preaches Won't it be great when sin is finally destroyed. The chaplain doesn't understand that it is destroyed because he relates to man's tendency to sin. And for a lot of people it's all that they've ever heard. So they are bought out of sin but sold back into sin because of a lack of understanding. It gets to be a stronghold in some.
19:20 - Andrew Wommack - teaches clearly on freedom from sin. Gave chaplain one of Wommack's writings and the chaplain said it was twisted. We tend to defend what we are brought up in.
20:00 - Some don't know - v.3 - Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? - Some of us honestly don't know.
20:10 - We are raised - v.4 - Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. - Here is the good news.
21:05 - v.5 - For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: - Let's see what He is dead to...
21:20 - v.6 - Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. - Knowing - understanding is a big deal. You're not just getting baptized because it's the Christian thing to do. It's full of purpose and meaning and power.
21:50 - Crucified with Him - Remember 2 Cor. 5:14 - If one died, all died. We died with Him. When He died, we died in the eyes and heart of the Father. The price for sin was paid - once for all.
22:20 - So when you go into the water you are dying to sin - once for all - yourself - ever mistake and failure. You are understanding that life is worth the blood. You are sons and daughters. There is grace sufficient for you. What you are saying is "I don't want to live in my own wisdom, the wisdom of the world. I am sorry I ever did. But I am here now and so are you God. I am saying good bye to the old and hello to the new."
23:00 - v.7 - For he that is dead is freed from sin. - That's a faith thing. "I am dying to all of this." And you've got to do is have that "want to." I don't want this and I'm trusting your grace. I am just putting everything under this water that is not of you. And I believe this one thing - You love me.
23:55 - Live with Him - v.8 - Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: - It's not just about dying with Him. We are going to live with Him. Knowing - understanding - relationship is so important. The more you commune with Him, the more that you know Him.
24:30 - Greek for "knowing." Understanding a fact vs. Experiential understanding.
25:25 - Lay down your fear of death - v.9 - Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. - In water baptism, lay down your fear of death. It's never again about dying. It's about eternally living. So when you are dying, you are dying to the fear of death - dying to death once for all - dying to sin once, for all. You are coming up new and alive for evermore. With Him forevermore. Because of the blood of Jesus, God has always kept things in His heart the way that they were from the beginning.
26:10 - v.10 - For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. - He was made to be sin. Sin was wiped away. The wrath of God subsided and was fulfilled. And sin will have no dominion over us because God cursed sin in the flesh.
26:40 - Reckon yourselves - v.11 - Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Words for you who are baptized... Reckon yourselves dead to sin and alive in Him.
26:50 - Sin having no dominion - Then it goes on... It's about not letting sin reign in our mortal bodies. Because we are children of God. So when things pull and tug on you... Father, I thank you that I am your child. I thank you that you have burned in me a heart to know you and love you... (more)
27:30 - Water baptism - symbolic of the grave - death, burial, resurrection. Go under by faith to die in the likeness of His death. Reckon yourself dead to sin. Sin is not what dominates you. Sin is not what drives you. You are created to be sons and daughters - not sinners.
28:00 - Sinner, saved by grace - You are not a sinner saved by grace. You were a sinner saved by grace. You come out of the water brand new.
28:10 - The grave - you are going under and you are leaving the old man there. Now when we bring you out there's a resurrection of life - newness of life. It's a birthday.

Baptism as the Womb of God

28:25 - Baptism as womb of God - Water breaks - a baby comes forth. Water is so symbolic. Out of Egypt - pass through the water. Holy Spirit hovers over the expanse of the water like a midwife. Holy Spirit takes the baby to Papa. Look Papa a brand new baby. Born again.
29:30 - It's so amazing how a woman carries a baby in water and when the water breaks, the baby comes forth. So be born again.
29:40 - Nicodemus - Be born again - Nicodemus said, "How can I go back into my mom's womb?" It's not about that but being born of the Spirit.
29:55 - The blood, the water and the Spirit - three that bear witness.
30:00 - So you get filled with the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit receives you out of the baptismal as a brand new baby child in God - as if you were never born before. Why? Because the old man is gone. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. - 2 Cor. 5:17.

Preaching Jesus includes Water Baptism
Philip & the Eunuch

31:35 - Acts 8 - Philip and the Eunuch - Recap of story.
32:10 - v.29-31 - Then the Spirit said unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself to this chariot. And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him read the prophet Esaias, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest? And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. - The eunuch was crying out for the person of Holy Spirit and doesn't even know it. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. - John 16:13.
33:00 - Spirit guide - Bob Hazelett went to a new age church and taught on their Spirit guide.
33:30 - When I read something like that I stop and commune... Holy Spirit, I thank you that someone has come. It's you and you will never steer me wrong. (more) And then that line becomes more my reality because I have stopped and communed.
34:10 - v.32-34 - The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth: In his humiliation his judgment was taken away: and who shall declare his generation? for his life is taken from the earth. And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man? - Watch now... This is interesting... We have turned this thing into a prayer to go to heaven and it's not in your Bible.
34:20 - Preaching Jesus included water baptism - v.35-36 - Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus. And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? - Water baptism was a part of preaching Jesus to the eunuch. It must have been a highlight of the message. Philip didn't preach Jesus apart from water baptism. He didn't preach prayer to go to heaven. He was preaching death, burial and resurrection. He was preaching: Say goodbye to the old man. Say hello to the new. Repent - change the way you think and rise up and live in the nature of God because the kingdom is here.
35:40 - We've turned the gospel into a quick prayer to go to heaven - God meeting your needs and blessing your life.
36:00 - The eunuch knows that he should be baptized. Why? because the Philip didn't preach Jesus without water baptism.
36:10 - Baptism in the book of Acts - I could walk you through the whole book of Acts and show you that they didn't preach Jesus apart from water baptism. Everywhere men got saved, they got baptized. Why? Because it was the message. New life. Not pray a prayer to go to heaven. It was transformation of life.
36:40 - We have strayed from the message - Prayer to go to heaven - Even in Acts 2 - We are cut to the heart. What shall we do? Believe and be baptized... - Acts 2:37-38. That's what Jesus said in Mark 16:16. We have strayed from what Jesus has said. We've turned it into praying a prayer to go to heaven. Make sure you are in.
37:10 - Robbing ourselves of transformation - And then you don't understand the transformation of life. You live in the same guilt and shame. You still feel like your flesh and sin is "normal". And thank God He even considers me - "I don't even know why you would love someone like me." That's the average Christian mentality.
37:30 - Why He loves you.

Household of Cornelius

37:55 - Household of Cornelius - Acts 10 - The gentiles had received the Holy Spirit. That was new thing for the Jews. Who can forbid these people water? - Acts 10:47. It was the first thing on Peter's mind. Seeing that they had received the same Spirit.
38:50 - Death, burial, resurrection - transformation of life - not a prayer to go to heaven. Jesus doesn't come into a service to meet all of your needs. He comes to make you look more like Him. Besides a lot of things you think are needs are really wants.
39:45 - I see you - She was giggling the whole time. That little girl was loving on Jesus. That was such an honor.
40:50 - Looking through Acts 8 as long as we are here...

Believers at Samaria

41:15 - Samaria - Acts 8 - v.14 - Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: -
41:30 - Baptism of Holy Spirit is also part of the message - The Lord has been speaking to me about praying for people to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Cornelius' household - Spirit came upon them - OK let's get baptized. But if you get baptized (Samaria), let's receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit vs. Born Again Experience

41:45 - Born again experience vs. Baptism of Holy Spirit - Acts 8 - v.15-16 - Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) - So it's a separate experience. Recreated in your born again experience and being filled with the Spirit in the sense of recreated spirit is different from the baptism of the Holy Spirit - the enduement of power. One is John 4;14 - a well springing up unto eternal life. The other is John 7:38 - a river flowing out of you - bringing life wherever it flows.
42:25 - Participant comment - another baptism - Are you able to be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with? - Mark 10:38.
42:50 - In that scripture He is probably talking about a baptism of selfless sacrifice. Drinking the cup - the cross experience.
43:20 - v.16 - (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) - People say that you get the Holy Spirit when you are born again. Well, you get a recreated, born again spirit. But not the person of the Holy Spirit in the form of the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the enduement of power necessarily. He had fallen on none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of Jesus - that means water.
44:10 - When Peter and John arrived, the Samaritans had already been water baptized. Why? Because it was in Philip's message to them. It wasn't a quick fix to get to heaven but a transformation of life.
44:20 - We covered the difference between water baptism and being filled with the Holy Spirit in a prior session. Get the DVD. They are two separate experiences.
44:30 - There was more - The word "only" means that there was more... That's not to say that water baptism is insignificant. It means that there is more. They hadn't gotten everything that they could.

Disciples at Ephesus

45:00 - Ephesus - Acts 19 - v.1-2 - And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples, He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. - 45:40 - Born again vs. Baptism of the Spirit - Look at his question. Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed? It fascinates me that we have these arguments in the body of Christ about whether you receive Holy Spirit when you are saved or not. We don't understand. You receive the Holy Spirit (when born again). That's what Jesus said when He breathed on His guys. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: - John 20:22. But then He said tarry in the city until the Holy Spirit has come upon you - And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. - Luke 24:49. Wait a minute you just said, "Receive the Holy Spirit." Yes, be born again - your spirit recreated and alive on the inside - no longer dark but light - no longer death but life - no longer a tare but wheat. "You're alive inside because My Spirit has re-birthed you. You are reborn from above. You've been Fathered by Me." So the Spirit of God is in you. It's that seal for the day of redemption. But tarry in the city... there is more... It's the person of Holy Spirit enduing with power.
46:45 - Two different experiences - Not an automatic - If Holy Spirit was an automatic with your conversion experience, and everybody that has ever been saved is walking around is saying, "I've got the Holy Spirit," - they've got a recreated spirit but the baptism of the Spirit is a totally different. If it was not a separate experience, why would Paul be asking, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" Why would Peter and John walk to Samaria to lay hands on them (Acts 8)? He had fallen on none of them yet.
47:30 - v.2b - And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost. - What are you talking about, dude? Paul is puzzled by this...
47:50 - v.3 - And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism. - Now it makes sense...
48:00 - v.4 - Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. - Paul obviously explained Christ to them. "Guys, He has already come."
48:25 - v.5 - When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. - Water baptism was part included in the message - not a quick fix to go to heaven. Death, burial, resurrection - transformation of life - newness of life.
49:00 - Reluctance to be baptized - [Prayer to go to heaven scenario vs. message including water baptism] When you try to take them to water you will find out what you have really given them and how much they really understand. We don't teach toward baptism. If Jesus said, Believe and be baptized and you will be saved... - Mark 16:16, then why do we leave baptism out and call it salvation? We're leaving out a very powerful form of grace that wants to come on their life. We are giving out a halfway message.
50:50 - v.6 - And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. - The first thing they did after they heard the message was get baptized. Paul didn't preach the message without preaching water baptism. That's the sign of transformation of life. It's all about transformation of life.
51:30 - Acts 19:3 - What was "John's baptism"? - Baptism unto repentance - getting your heart ready. It was a water baptism. There was One coming. But there born again experience required water baptism. They were already baptized by John. As soon as Paul talked about the One they had prepared for, they accepted and got baptized into Christ and His death.
52:50 - Period of prophetic silence before John - 300-400 years - then John cries out in the wilderness of humanity. "Get ready - He is coming." John's baptism was a sign of getting ready.
54:20 - Where does the idea of infant baptism come from? - I don't know how we got all of the things that we've got. It seems like man takes things into his hands and does what works for him and then builds a camp around that. I don't know.
54:50 - Big controversies - Over powerful graces - Any time there is a big issue - it's because the issue is so powerful and important. There is no fight over something that doesn't have great meaning - baptism of the Holy Spirit - praying in tongues - the exploitation of sexual intimacy. If sex intimacy wasn't so holy - if there wasn't an amazing root, would satan go out of his way to exploit it so drastically? If there wasn't something so incredible about being filled with the Holy Spirit, would there be such a controversy?
56:05 - Participant comment - not teaching on Pentecost in home church.

The Importance of a Pure Heart

56:40 - Pure motive - We're not seeking God for us. We are seeking God for Him and His will to be fulfilled. Strip me. Break me down. Tear me open. Whatever you need to do. I must know you and I don't want one lie remaining in my life. (more)
57:30 - Living pure - How do you live pure? By getting alone with God and expressing that and wanting that. God's grace will meet you there and make it your reality.
58:15 - You can't rise above your motive. Your motive is your ceiling. And the pure in heart shall see God - Mt. 5:8. So the "why behind your life - what's moving me - what's motivating me is absolutely huge. If I seek Him for any other reason than to know Him, I am going to limit what I find there - or it will muddy the water - how I see. If my will is to do His will, I will know... whether it's God's authority or man's - John 7:17.
59:00 - Interpreting the word - to defend our camp instead of to know Him. We make it say what we need it to say.
59:30 - Mormons - Motive: to better defend against what I was saying - came to the house. They never came to my house. Satan won't let them. That day they came to the house. Amazing time with them. They were trembling as they backed away. Next day - senior elders. You are only here to find out what I said. You're not here to hear truth. You just want to defend better. Came to home group. God started moving - no way around it. Put their heads down. Welcome here any time. Never seen a Mormon on our street since then.
1:03:50 - Ears to hear - That motive alone (listening for the purpose of better defending against) can keep you from hearing truth. Ears to hear. Eyes but do not see, ears but do not hear - Is. 6:9-10. That's the heart of God. So you want to make sure that your heart is pure.
1:04:55 - It could have been different with those elders - If they had come wanting to hear God. God wants your heart. Pride resists. Humility receives. So be careful on your motive.

You Received by Faith - Walk by Faith

1:05:40 - Back to Acts 19... As soon as they heard, they were baptized. Water baptism must have been right in the message.
1:05:55 - Colossians 2 - v.6-10 were huge in my life when I got saved. Holy Spirit drilled those into me. Let's read them all and then v. 12 will make a lot of sense.
1:07:35 - v.6 - As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: - How are you receiving Him (today in baptism)? By faith. What's the prerequisite for baptism? Believing...
1:08:05 - Back to Acts 8 - Recap of Philip and the eunuch. Preached Jesus. Next sentence: Water! Baptism had to be part of the message.
1:08:25 - v.36 - And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. - Prerequisite of baptism - believe with all of your heart. Don't do it for any other reason. Grace will come upon your faith - the power of God will come upon what you believe.
1:08:55 - Infant baptism - Can a little baby believe with all of their heart? Dedicate? Yes. Born again? No.
1:09:40 - Back to Colossians 2 - v.6 - As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: - So this isn't an event today. It's a position of the heart that is going to lead our lives from today on. And as we believe, we are going to walk.
1:10:00 - v.7 - Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. - You are dying to yourself today so that you can get your eyes onto Him. That's been the problem. The biggest enemy was you. You thought it was the devil or your neighbor. No, it's you. When you get your eyes off of you, you can finally see Him. 1:10:40 - I used to think that if God would change the world around me, it would be good. And He was waiting to change me. Get your eyes off of others.
1:11:00 - As you have been taught - I'm not sure we've been taught. I think we prayed a prayer to go to heaven.
1:11:40 - Abounding therein with thanksgiving - This is key. No complaining. If I am complaining it's because I have lost sight of the truth about my life. Complaining will make me feel right but I would be wrong.
1:12:25 - Why bother praying for the sick. Recounting participant's testimony. It's such a privilege to co-labor. But we can lose sight of that. Losing thankfulness.
1:13:20 - Participant's testimony - Delivered of all but smoking. Couldn't get rid of it. Through these scriptures He showed me that if I got baptized, I would be delivered. Instantly.

Strongholds Broken

1:14:00 - Strongholds - You give yourself to something and then it starts to own you. You become it's servant. It tells you what you are going to do and when you are going to do it. That's a yoke. Jesus will destroy that.
1:14:30 - Heroin addict - lady addicted. Everybody gave up on her. They were at wit's end. Somebody brought her into my office. Why did you come? "I never want to use heroin again. I can't stop." There is nothing that you or I can do to break that. You gave yourself to it and it yoked you up. It has taken you prisoner. The anointing of God destroys the yoke. Jesus is the only one that can set you free.
1:16:50 - Prayer - Lord Jesus, I gave myself to heroin. It owns me now and I can't get free. Only you can set me free. Would you please come and set me free. I saw the power of God come on her. She fell into lockers.
1:18:00 - Elder's wife hit by the power of God and goes flying - You would think she would be hurt. She was fine.
1:18:30 - Heroin addict (cont.) - From that moment, the thought of using was ridiculous to her.
1:18:50 - Putting your total trust in Him. Taking responsibility for where you have let your life go. Acknowledging that it's owned you but it's not who you are and who you desire to be. And only you, Jesus can set me free - break this yoke. Would you come and set me free?
1:19:20 - Heroin addict (cont.) - Her family would call - this has been her whole life since teenager. How can she be this OK? Why?

You Received by Faith - Walk by Faith (cont.)

1:20:00 - v.7 - Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. -
1:20:05 - v.8 - Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. - Jesus is the wisdom of God for us. The life of Jesus is God's wisdom and we follow Him - His words - His ways. All this other stuff is stuff we learned through the fall of man. It's the way that seems right. But the way that is right is in Christ.
1:20:45 - v.9-10 - For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: - It would be good for you to pray that all the time. Father, I thank you that I am complete in You. I'm not lacking any good thing. Every potential is in place to manifest - everything you have ever predestined. God you are giving me increased understanding but you have made me right. You have filled me with your Spirit. I wear righteousness. I am protected in this gospel. Thank you, You've made all things new.
1:21:20 - v.11 - In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:  - That's what you are doing in baptism - putting off the body of the sins of the flesh. It's not who I am.
1:21:35 - Baptism! - v.12 - Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. - That is so powerful.
1:21:50 - v.13-15 - And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. - Last scripture...

Saved by Water

1:22:30 - 1 Peter 3 - People get legalistic - Do I need to get water baptized to be saved? Not wrong to ask it in a right heart. But why is it even a question? Jesus said, "Believe and be baptized." Why do we separate the two.
1:23:05 - People say, "Well it's the blood that saves us - not water baptism." We probably ought to read our Bibles.
1:23:20 - Noah - Baptism of the earth - Peter is talking about Noah. Prophetic of NT reality. God came through water - baptized the whole earth of unrighteousness and swept it away. All that remained - 8 righteous souls. It's the picture of baptism. Rainbow - never again. But it will be through water and death but the death would be the death of the old man. A different kind of death. God drowned out all unrighteousness.
1:24:35 - v.20 - Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. - Saved through what? The water. The blood paves the way for you to experience the reality of what the water represents. There is a working of both. The three that bear witness on the earth: the blood, the water and the Spirit - 1 John 5:7-8. God forbid that we keep preaching the gospel without the water.
1:25:35 - v.21 - The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ: - Also now SAVES us - baptism. What does baptism save? Your conscience - your soul - your emotions - your ability to see yourself clean and free. It redeems you - protects you - and keeps you safe. Water baptism is the answer of a good conscience toward God through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. What does that mean? By faith I am going in the water because my heart is sincere. I don't want to live for me - for attitudes - for weakness. I'm a child of God. And I am going to live for that by grace. I call everything else dead. And I am coming up with a clear conscience - a good conscience towards God because there is a removal of sin and a new person is alive. I am born again.
1:27:20 - Anti-type that SAVES us. There is a working together of the water and the blood for the consummation of God's will in your life.
1:27:45 - Jesus said, "Believe and be baptized." It shouldn't even be up for question if we honor Him. Why do we debate it. There must be a synergism of the two (water and the blood) together.
Afterward - Participant baptisms.
