Day 33

Sacrament of Communion - A Way to Enter In

0:00 - Receiving the Sacrament of Communion - All that is Yours is mine & All that is mine is Yours theme. Covenant.
1:45 - [Sound improves]
1:55 - Prov. 16:3 - Commit your works to the Lord and your thoughts will be established. The Lord has made all for Himself...
2:30 - More than a prayer to go to heaven and a promise to find blessing in this temporal life. It's about being made one with Him - being restored to created value.
2:35 - Ps. 37:5 - Commit your way to the Lord. Trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light. And your justice as the noon day.
3:45 - All that is Yours is mine & All that is mine is Yours theme. It's the Father's good pleasure to give us the kingdom - Luke 12:32. I didn't come to be served but to serve - Mt. 20:28. He still sits at the right hand of God mediating forever on behalf of man. He came and died that we all could live. Commit your way to Him.
4:30 - A tool for consecration - Use communion as a tool to consecrate yourself. I give myself to You...
5:00 - Your thoughts will be established - Self-seeking in the Lord - our thoughts get scrambled - results in interpreting scripture through your motives. But when you will is to do His will, you'll know the truth concerning doctrine.
5:20 - Keeps your heart pure and in line with Him.
6:25 - Spoon of milk and a cheerio. It's what you are remembering.
7:00 - Commit to His way. Becoming one. Using communion as a tool to develop that.
7:25 - Grace Meets Faith and makes it real - Let this be your established heart. Grace covers you and protects you. God's empowerment - God's ability over your life. What you are decreeing in the secret place, grace begins to touch and it becomes your reality in the open. You are not trying to apply sermons. You have become the word.
7:50 - The only way that happens is in the secret place when you are releasing faith to God and grace touches your faith. Holy Spirit begins to conform you to the image of God - to make you one with truth.
8:00 - You can't live out of your knowledge - applying knowledge as life come. No, the word becomes flesh. It becomes your reality in the secret place.
8:10 - We're going to enter into that. I'm just going to forget that you are here... You enter in too...
8:50 - Don't just be religious about it.
9:00 - Getting religious in prayer - Getting religious and being called out by God. He intervened and didn't let me stay that way. I didn't realize it was happening. I just got in the habit of saying the right things.
10:00 - That kind of intervention may not happen if we don't give ourselves to Him in prayer and intimacy - committing to Him - I'm committing my way to You. My life is Yours God. You've made two one. And I thank you that Your kingdom is in me. I just want to walk with You. I want to walk in your wisdom. And I thank you for leading and guiding me in all truth because you are Holy Spirit and You live in me and You are my best friend... I'm not sure that most Christians talk that way to the Lord. We just talk about stuff.
10:40 - People don't seem to have that intimate exchange where they are giving their heart to Him and receiving His heart for them. Use the sacrament of communion as a tool to begin to grow in that consciousness.
10:55 - Begin with the simple thought: All that is Yours is mine and all that is mine is Yours. [Communion prayer continues...beautiful intro]
12:00 - Receiving the Sacrament of Communion - The Body. [Oh my goodness... so beautiful]
16:40 - Receiving the Sacrament of Communion - The Blood.
20:00 - Prayer concludes
20:15 - This kind of prayer doesn't end. It's not an appointment. You live a life of prayer.
20:45 - [Reference to some sort of proclamation - list - prayer requests?]

Faith Filled Prayer

21:05 - Not a method - by which we get help. This leads us into relationship by which we know Him. And through knowing Him and faith working through love, things change.
21:35 - Don't let devastation inspire your prayers. Let the goodness of God and His promises, the finished work of Christ, proclamation and begin to declare... There is an importance to representing His voice on the earth and saying what He is saying.
22:00 - Life and death is in the tongue. We're created in His image. And told to subdue the earth. So when despair runs through your mind: Father, I thank you that you are restoring families. You haven't forgotten anyone... That's declarations of faith. Proclamations of faith. And it releases the power and life of God. It's very powerful because it keeps your heart in a place of rejoicing.
22:50 - Fighting the good fight of faith - the faith. Has nothing to do with what the devil is doing. Has to do with laying ahold of and walking out what Jesus accomplished and who you are because His finished work.
23:10 - The faith - Holding onto God-given identity, authority and power.
23:15 - Contending for the faith - not wrestling people. Powers and principalities. Arm yourself with the finished work of Christ.
23:50 - Don't get your eyes on the problem instead of the promise. Prognosis instead of prophetic.
24:00 - For example praying for young people. We stereotype based on the news - based on the fruit. Praying from the motivation of the trouble. Or you can look at the promise... I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh... and begin to proclaim and declare.
24:35 - Intercession & Prophetic prayer - Gets in agreement with what He is saying over the earth. If it's not in a positive, uplifting note it's not the Spirit of God. It's motivated by the trouble.
25:30 - Sowing seed - Praying for seeds sown into the heart. God, You've sown a seed. [cont.]... It's not hype. It's based on truth. And truth makes you free.
26:10 - A lot of Christian prayer is reduce to - natural knowledge, despair... It's not a place of power and authority. It's not a place even of faith.

* * *

26:35 - Let's go to 2 Corinthians 4... Highlighting ~ v.13-16. But let's read the chapter. And v.1 begins with a "Therefore."
29:00 - Chapter 3 - Covenant under Moses - The Law - Through Christ the veil being taken away
29:25 - Ch. 3 - v.17 - Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. - The Lord is the Spirit. They are three but they are one. Spirit of the Lord Jesus.
30:10 - v.18 - Unveiled face - But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. - The will of God is to restore you and transform you back into your created value by the working of grace through the blood of Jesus Christ. But you have to, with an unveiled face behold the glory of the Lord. You have to see His intention, His desire towards you.
31:00 - From glory to glory - it's increasing. You see more today than you've seen before. You love Him a little more. You know Him a little more. To know Him is to love Him.
31:30 - We are not here just to know about Him. We have a lot of teaching. Getting alone with Him gets things clear. If my will is to do His will, I'll know whether it's the will of God - John 7:17.
32:15 - Power and truth - The power of God, that is realized, if fueled by the truth of God. The truth of God translates into the power of God. As we grow in truth, authority grows automatically. Truth is your best friend.
33:20 - Jesus is the truth.
33:30 - Deaf ear opens with truth - testimony of participant - wife's ear deaf 18 years. Listening to CD from the school on how it's all about love. Ear opened.
34:45 - If you continue in my word... you will know the truth and the truth will make you free - John 8:31-32. It's the light coming on. Once you see, you can become what you see.
35:20 - Clean vessel - Girl who was told that she couldn't receive Holy Spirit because she was not a clean vessel. Listening to righteousness CD. Sees the truth. Received Holy Spirit. Praying in tongues. It wasn't ministry. It was truth. Truth made her free.
37:30 - Chapter 4 - v.1 - Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; - The ministry he just described - the veil taken away. The Spirit of the Lord bringing liberty. Men being redeemed.
38:05 - Mercy - Satan can't defeat it.
38:25 - v.2 - But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. - God cares about our integrity. Live for His name's sake and others. Pure in heart see God - Mt. 5:8.
39:50 - v.3-5 - But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. - They are preaching and men are looking at their lives. Don't bear witness of yourselves.

Faith Filled Prayer (cont.)

40:50 - v.6 - For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. - God doesn't focus on darkness. He calls light out of darkness. He finds light in the face of darkness.
41:20 - That's just the first little point I want to make in this chapter. There is some stuff that we need to see about prayer, authority, confession/declaration. And it's not a principle thing. It's a revelation thing. If these things aren't coming out of a healthy identity and a relationship, they will just become prayer methods.
41:45 - Trapped in prayer methods. We read about decreeing and declaring and we stand up and declare but we are insecure and don't know who we are.
42:00 - Power in prayer - Call forth light - We've reduced the gospel to a principle and we wonder where the power is. The power is in a healthy identity - when you are praying out of knowing who He is and who you have become in Him. It's never driven by need. It's actually working through love. You see the state of society - darkness all around - but the light has come. You find light in the face of darkness. And you call forth light in the face of darkness. Isn't that what God did?
42:35 - Empowering the enemy by how we pray - We don't realize how much power we give the enemy when we are focused on him and letting him be our motivation for prayer. What you are actually saying is that you are amazing. Your power is incredible. You're causing us a lot of harm. And if God doesn't come, we're in trouble.
43:00 - But you are going to see here Paul's triumphant declaration of selflessness and faith. This is why we took so much time covering identity, purpose, motives... so that we can manifest Him in the face of darkness - so that we can look like Him and shine in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation. So no matter how hard we are squeezed, Christ is pouring out. We're leaving a legacy - manifesting His nature. It's not about our ducks being in a
row. It's about out priority and identity being aligned.
43:40 - v.6 - That's where we live from. That's where we pray from.

Perspective & Prayer in Adversity

44:00 - v.7 - But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us- It's His good pleasure to give us the kingdom.
44:15 - It sounds so glorious and triumphant here. But you have to understand that you are in the world but not of the world. There are trials and adversity. 1 Peter 1:7 - So that the genuineness of your faith which is tested by fire...
44:50 - v.8 - Hard pressed - We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; - After these triumphant verses... Hard pressed on every side but not crushed. People who are hard pressed on every side are just about crushed or telling you that they are just about crushed. We don't understand our place in adversity, persecution, suffering for His name sake.
45:40 - Look at how Paul is seeing adversity.
46:25 - Prayer in the midst of adversity - God I have no clue how you are working this out...[extended] I know that you are good... I don't understand this but I trust You because I know You through your Son. And you love us and you're for us...
47:00 - Many don't pray that way. We stop, look and listen to wrong things and voices. And then pray from desperation.
47:20 - Then we take inventory to see if our prayers are working.
47:30 - This isn't working - It's not a method. It's a lifestyle. Trying to control the other person through prayer. He didn't like me for three years. He needed truth.
49:25 - Jesus spoke truth in His ministry. And He was crucified.

Dependence on the Love of Man - Free from Me, Free from You

49:40 - v.8-9 - Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; - Hard pressed. Perplexed but our faith is in Him. We know His nature.
50:00 - Love of men & Love of God - Persecuted - It's not love from men that we live for. It's the love of God that causes us to love the men. It's nice when people love you. But you are not in need of the love of people. I'm called to love people. If you accept that it will make you totally free.
51:10 - The reason we need love from men is because we are not getting it totally from God. Love from others - You can see and hear and feel. But love from God takes faith and seeking Him in the secret place and challenging every lie and casting down every imagination and standing in Him and believing.
51:45 - I don't need you to love me, but that would be awesome. It's not what I wake up for. To know the love of Christ is to be filled with all the fullness of God - Eph. 3:19.
52:00 - Fullness.
52:25 - Satisfied in His love. Now I can be effective to the world - what I was created for. Or I am still a man in need and you are still my barometer. You still have the power to make or break me. And I lose sight of the fact that I am to love you.
53:10 - God's love

Paul's Perspective in Adversity - Circumstances are not Lord - Free from Me

53:35 - Paul's adversities - This is how Paul prevailed in adversity. This was what he saw.
54:10 - Thorn of persecution - Please take it away. My grace is sufficient. Stay here and preach.
55:00 - Weighing outwardly - deciding if ministry is effective. "They are not getting it. They don't want God." We weigh natural evidence to determine the truth of the situation. Love is what determines the truth of the situation.
55:15 - Praying to go to the mission field - I was discouraged with the church. Motive - disdain towards church. It wasn't love.
➡ 57:30 - But I want you to see Paul's view. Could he possibly be focusing on the hard pressing, the perplexing and the persecution? No. It's there - they are real. But his triumph is - I don't live by those things. Those things aren't determining my life.
57:55 - v.10 - Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. - If you lose your life, you'll find it - Mt. 10:39. You're dying for His name sake and it's a place of greater grace - greater empowerment - greater purpose.
58:20 - v.11 - For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh. - Importance of strong identity - so the expression of Christ is pure. Just be real, sincere and let your light shine. Pressure to produce more.
59:40 - Situation at work - who brain washed you? I didn't announce my salvation. We need people to live Jesus not preach. God opened ears to His message. Al and the march for Jesus. Convicted but didn't want persecution. Why am I letting that keep me from you?
1:02:30 - Persecution - What are your words costing me? Nothing.
1:02:55 - Know what the devil has been saying about you? Why do you want to know? He's a liar!
1:03:40 - v.11-12 - So then death worketh in us, but life in you. - Don't feel sorry for me. Understand what motivates me. Follow my example.
1:04:30 - Participant's comment - for your benefit
1:04:40 - It's the dividends of a life surrendered.
1:04:50 - v.13 - We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; - Now he is giving away how he can live this way.
1:05:15 - Request for clarification of v.12. Death. Peril. When the church sees that there is a great message. And there is a reaping of that surrendered life. He's a living epistle of a life surrendered. It looks like we are sheep for the slaughter. But in all these things we are more than conquerors. Why? Because we are free from me. And we are manifesting Him.
1:06:10 - Now he is going to give away how he can have this attitude.
1:06:25 - "Normal" reaction to being hard pressed - Our usual reaction to being hard pressed - perplexed - persecuted - we are big time on the prayer list and in depression. You justify your attitude. "How do you expect me to feel? Look what I'm going through. Why isn't God protecting me?" You are setting yourself up for more. You are telling the devil that this is all about me. You're hurting me.
1:07:30 - Paul could have had a list of all the reasons he was having a bad day.
1:07:55 - Persecutions in 2 Cor. 11 - Enduring persecution - v.22+ - He's giving an example of enduring persecution. If you aren't surrendered, you will not persevere. As a man he would never survive this. But he stays surrendered, submitted.

Prayer - Believe & Speak

1:10:00 - v.13 - Believing and speaking - Here's the deal. Believing and speaking. What do you speak? You speak what you believe. So when you pray, inspired by the problem, you're actually declaring, "I believe the trouble." When you speak the promise, your faith is attaching to what God says.
1:11:00 - I have heard time and time again the lists of despair and trouble and all the justifications for the flesh and then please pray for me or help me. "Why are these things happening? What am I doing wrong?" These conversations happen because we're not understanding what Paul is saying.
1:11:35 - Spiritual Warfare - Most of the time when we pray we think that we are fighting and beating up the enemy. Telling him a thing or two. It's almost always shadow boxing. Very little avail.
1:12:00 - The truest sense of spiritual warfare is speaking the truth in love.
1:12:15 - There is no greater form of intercession than the truth being spoken in love. It is the greatest intercession - the greatest power. Because the "why" is always pure. And the truth makes men free. I believe therefore I speak.
1:12:45 - Speaking in anger - That's why he talks about being slow to speak, slow to anger, quick to listen. - Jas. 1:19. A man's stomach will be full of the fruit of his lips - Prov. 18:20. Quick fuse. "That's the way God made me."
1:14:10 - Don't pray out of anger to God - How God answered Job. Where were you when...?
1:14:30 - Stuffing feelings - Is there a time when it's OK to bring our crisis to God? (stuffing feelings) - Absolutely. I'm not talking about stuffing your feelings. But it's rare that we talk about our feelings in a health way. Don't just have a NEED to talk about your troubles. Our troubles do have a tendency to start identifying us. People draw attention through their troubles. Just having people care.
1:15:10 - Sometimes the highest grace a person receives is that another person cares. Why is it the highest? Because they are not receiving God's love.
1:15:40 - They will quote something spiritual but stay on the track of trouble. The trouble is drawing sympathy, empathy... You don't need sympathy and empathy. You need faith that works through love.
1:15:55 - Practical example of prayer in crisis - Father, I thank you that you are God...[more] I feel this way but I thank you... Identify the problem (trouble/feelings) for what it really is. And set it apart. And establish truth. That's the only way that I will acknowledge how I feel or acknowledge the problem in prayer. The only way that I acknowledge the problem is in the context of the strong answer.
1:17:00 - Whining in prayer - Not just whining. Whining is a zero. You believe therefore you speak. So out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks - Luke 6:45. What are you saying that you believe when you have a pity party? "I really can't trust You. I feel like You have forsaken me."
1:17:40 - Mad at God in prayer? - Don't give yourself permission to feel like God forsook you. A lie from Hell. It takes you nowhere. Trust God with all of your heart and lean not on your own understanding - Prov. 3:5. Do you know why you can be mad at God? Because you are leaning heavily on your own understanding. But in all of your ways acknowledge Him - That's the answer, not the problem. You are highlighting Him. He is the victory.
1:19:10 - A lot of times the way we pray gets us more conscious of the hard pressing, perplexedness and persecution instead of the grace that is greater than all of these things.

Paul's Perspective in Adversity (cont.)

1:19:25 - v.14 - Revelation - Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you. - We're called to have a revelation.
1:20:20 - Paul's perspective - Here is the view you live from: v.14.
1:20:30 - v.15 - All things work together - For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. - God is going to work all things to the good for those who love God - Rom. 8:28. Not question God, love God. We quote that promise thinking it's a bailout. But it's for people that remain in faith and therefore speak. When you stand your ground and trust Him no matter what it looks or feels or seems like. You will not lean on your own understanding. You will not find a case against God.
1:21:40 - Called according to His purpose - In trials satan wants to get people to question God's love and question their calling - if they even fit.
1:22:00 - Knowing who you are because of knowing who He is.
1:22:20 - Praying from the perspective of life and truth and answers and destiny. Not woe is me. It's very important to pray this way. Or we are just quoting scripture.
1:22:45 - Misquoting this verse - A desperate, religious cry. Hoping things work out.
1:23:00 - I don't talk about the problem at all. I talk about who you are in the face of that problem and who He is and what that really means to you. If you come to me for counsel that's what I do because that is all that I see here (in the word).
1:23:30 - Participant's comment - on v.14

It's Not about the Fire - He is Lord

1:24:00 - Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego - In the fire - The hell and high water pressing in on our lives doesn't change the truth of who He is and who we are. It's all about our response. Throwing the three into the furnace - Nebuchadnezzar - It was never about the fire. It's not about dying. It's all about God and who He is. To us, it's about the fire. They actually said, "What is your fire to us? We don't even have a need to answer you in this matter." Because it's not about you burning us. It's about Him being God. And because He is Lord, we will never worship you. [Story continued]
1:25:15 - Raising the temperature - Satan believes that if he makes it even worse after you take your stand, you will break and your real motive will be exposed. He thinks we are just using God to get what we need. He's not impressed by our prayers. He's moved by authority - by the anointing of God - by the Spirit of God. If I cast out spirits by the finger of God... - Luke 11:20. Not the tone of voice... then surely the kingdom is upon you. [Story continues] More pressure to shake you.
1:26:15 - So we let what we are going through and how we feel change who He is and who we are and then we pray from the place of the problem. That is not true intercession.
1:26:30 - Participant's comment - testimony - Lord do you remember the promise? Never blaming.
1:27:50 - Not challenging God. Relationship won't allow you to do that. [Prayer challenging God] instead of approaching with faith] When you speak you reveal what you believe. [Prayer from faith] Not praying from trouble.

Asking for Prayer without Subverting Faith

1:29:55 - Speaking about problems - Be careful of your motive in talking about problems. Sometimes you don't even need to share things. Wife's seizure - not the story of my day. That is not understood in the church. Speaking religiously. Sounds godly but no change.
1:30:40 - Talking about problems without subverting faith. [Example conversation] It's not wrong to do that. That's humble. Is any among you sick? Let them ask for prayer - Jas. 5:14.
1:31:50 - Faith - If you believe the mountain moves. "Yeah, but I believed." Praying when the mountain hasn't moved yet.
1:33:20 - Praying for the baptism of Holy Spirit for participant - But God want that to take place in private.
1:34:50 - There is a place for asking. You don't need to be in denial.
1:35:20 - Participant's comment - I take it to the opposite extreme. I don't want people to know my business.
1:35:40 - There are people who know and love you who would want to support you - pray with you. There is a place to let people know. It's about giving people the opportunity to love.

Kingdom Perspective

1:36:50 - v.15 - Grace having spread - These trials, afflictions actually reveal God's grace, faithfulness, etc. if you keep your eyes on that truth. ➡ Now watch his view and heart in v.16...
1:37:15 - v.16 - For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. - That means - I am just seeing clearer and clearer than ever before. Every day it gets clearer because of these things. Revelation, vision, narrow eye.
1:37:55 - v.17 - Light affliction - For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; - We can't relate to this because we live in America. We think somebody not smiling at us is a tough day. We wonder what we did wrong. Small examples of being treated rough. Heart gets tough or you are broken. Paul is calling all of his persecution [recounted] light affliction.
1:39:10 - American gospel - In America, we've grown up with a gospel that serves us and makes our day better - a gospel where God is here to meet every one of your needs - Him making your day better and brighter.
1:40:00 - Quotes on fridge and quoting them every day hoping the blessing comes on them. They do it for their sake. And if the blessing doesn't come, they wonder what they are doing wrong. "Why isn't it working?"
1:40:20 - Eternal perspective - Light affliction for a moment - wisp and a vapor life - here today, gone tomorrow. Your temporal life doesn't even make a speck on the map of eternity. This is where the rubber meets the road with faith. It's either all about you or all about Him through you.
1:41:15 - Exceeding weight of glory - In other words, we're leaving a legacy that we didn't bow to the spirit of the world - the wisdom of the world - to the love of our own lives. We are pilgrims - sojourners of whom the world is not worthy - Heb. 11:38.
1:41:40 - v.18 - While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. - Do you see where you pray from? He calls light out of darkness. We pray from the things that are unseen. The temporary is not where you build up and focus. That's the difference between the prognosis and the prophecy - the problem and the promise. Do you see how powerful prayer can be from that place? So begin to pray from there.
1:42:35 - I was going to talk about healing today. But...
1:42:40 - Invitation to preach on healing - people were touched. Lady with walker. This is a gift. No, it's the finished work of Christ. Healings. Priesthood of believers. The kingdom is in you.
