Day 7 (2011)

1:20 - Get settled on your righteousness in Christ - Hold your healing questions. I want to cover the foundational truths. You live from the place of righteousness. The reason we struggle in healing is because we haven’t settled this first things first topic.

2:20 - Is it faith that makes us righteous or the salvation that Jesus brought? We’re saved by grace through faith - Eph. 2:8. It’s both. Faith brings the revelation of righteousness to be in your life. God sees you righteous in Jesus but it’s by faith that you walk in that righteous revelation. In other words, you can live in condemnation, yeah buts etc. that absolutely aborts your revelation of righteousness.

3:15 - Salvation it the same way. You’re saved by grace through faith. There’s a supernatural working of God’s power that opens up your understanding and a revelation to the finished work of Christ but it’s faith that takes you there.

4:00 - What’s the difference between “God loves you” and “being loved by God”? Theologically I am correct when I say to this whole school, "God loves you." There is a difference between me saying, “God loves you” and you RECEIVING the love of God. When I say “being loved by God” it means receiving that love. Letting that love actually have place in your heart and mark your identity. Jesus says...

4:30 - John 14:15 - If you love me, you will keep my commandments… Sounds legalistic. No - When you love me you’ll walk in agreement with me. You’ll find yourself doing what I do because you love me. If you hear with a legalistic ear you’ll try to prove your love, "See, I love you. See, I love you." and won’t receive His love in the process. John 14:21 - If you keep my commandments, you will be loved by my Father… That means that grace touches my heart - that I know my place in Him - that I have peace in me with God - and God is letting me know that on the inside. By faith I believe that He loves me. And there is a grace that comes to make that my reality. You live by faith.

Approach by Faith Now - Don't Wait to be Touched

5:50 - Isn’t this just for Dan? Isn’t this just a special revelation for Dan? No, for everybody. Without all of these experiences all you have is Bible knowledge right? True. But I’m not pursuing just Bible knowledge - not reading the word just to know my Bible but to know Him. So in my personal communing there is a place of interaction, interface, intercourse with God where those revelations come freely. It has to do with perspective and mindset.

7:20 - Knowing that He sees you as righteous is foundational to communing with God - That’s why I’m trying to hit this foundation in righteousness so that as we lead into communing with God, no one has a set back ("It doesn't feel like anyone is there, etc.) in communing with Him because you have every right to be with Him. That’s why we are taking so much time with righteousness - so that you see that God wants you in His presence.

7:45 - Don't wait to be touched - Approach by faith now - Be careful not to think, "Well until God touches me with a revelation, I can't know that He is real. I'm just going to do the best I can and maybe one of these days He might choose to touch me that way." Be careful not to strive for experiences that come by grace. When you start believing "I don’t hear the voice of God" - you can be on a struggle journey for 20 yrs. That negativity in and of itself impedes your ability to hear, to recognize. Rather than communion…

8:35 - Thank God for speaking clearly - Approach by faith - Father I thank You that You speak to me. Father, I thank You that when I read Your word my heart comes alive... This is what we are not being taught - communion with the Lord - faith. Father I thank You that You absolutely love me and my ears are open to hearing. The hearing ear is from the Lord according to Proverbs and the seeing eye is of the Lord. Thank You that I am not blind. And thank You Lord that my heart is in agreement with You. And If I seek You, I find You. If I draw near, You draw near to me. And I thank You Father for the grace in my life to cause me to recognize and hear Your voice - even in the midst of chaos - even in the midst of pandemonium - I thank You that I have the ability to hear Your voice on the inside. And everything I sow into me, I thank You Father, comes alive by Your Spirit in every time of need. I thank You that I can know You... You can pray that way even when you are believing that you are not hearing God's voice like you should. You start opening up your heart to say, I know that you are speaking to me and I know that you want me to hear you. And I thank you that I'm in position. Thank you for fathering me. Thanks for loving me.

9:45 - Don't let what's not happening identify you - Don’t identify yourself based on what’s not happening or what you don’t have. That becomes you. And then it becomes like trying to fight your way out of a bag.

9:55 - Live by faith in truth - Not by feelings - Peace - It’s the same way with peace. People come to the altar for peace. We gather around them because we love people. And God will sometimes supernaturally bring a sense of peace. But what people need to know is that - I have peace with God. I'm not trying to have just a surface peace. I'm not just trying to feel peace. We minister to feelings instead of starting with truth. I have peace. Not looking for peace through the ministry of others.

10:55 - People go to great lengths to find peace. We seek out impartation of peace through the ministry of others. But by doing that you are pulling yourself so far from the walk of faith. You are conditioning yourself that unless I feel peace right now, I have no peace. You are living sensual.

11:30 - Emotional deficit. As you are praying their mind is already working against faith - "Here we go again, I don’t feel peace - it isn’t working - I don’t know why God won’t give me peace." And that belief becomes a stronghold in their mind. They’re waiting for a feeling.

12:15 - I need to feel the love of God - Lady at alter - I just need you to pray for me - never felt the love of God. A stronghold that kept her from living by faith int truth. She just wanted God to come and blast her. So she was frustrated with me. Just feeling a feeling would encourage her to live by feelings instead of faith - living for sensual manifestations. You're being deceived. Get alone with Him and thank Him for His love for you. Approach God by faith and let the cross be enough. 15:20 - God shows us His love through the cross - Not a feeling - I shared 1 John 4:9 with her - In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. - The word "manifest" is not talking about a goose-bump feeling. It means to be made seen and known - revealed. Now in that place there can be a stewardship of a fun feeling. I'm not against fun feelings. But if I don't have the fun feeling, I'm not lacking anything unless I don't see that You love me. When you start there, when you lay a foundation of faith… God can give you stewardship of manifestations because it will be healthy.

16:00 - Approach by faith now - Don't wait to be touched - Back to the question @5:50 - Continue in this place of faith. God is not holding out for years and years to eventually touch your heart with revelation. It's in the approach we take. We get to striving. We label ourselves as dull of hearing - dull senses. Not a journey of frustration. If you start there you will run well.

16:50 - You have everything you need - You don't need to be touched - Comparing to others - I want to be like you. "Lay your hands on me. I want what you've got." You have it. "I can lay my hands on you and bless you but you have what I have. He died once for all. You have what I have. There are just some things that I am seeing that maybe you are not seeing right now." But if you will start here (faith - not feelings) you will run well.

17:25 - Bring your flesh into line with truth and feelings will eventually follow - There were times when I went into my bedroom and I didn’t necessarily feel like meeting with God. I told myself that I was going to go meet with God. I felt like doing something else. The greatest thing I can do is know Him more. I’m going in this bedroom because I want to know You more. Sometimes I would tell myself, "Flesh you are going in there." And those were some of the greatest experiences with the Lord. My spirit was saying "Father I want to sit in your lap." And my flesh was saying, "Dan you already did. You already read 3 chapters..." I would take my flesh right in there. It was fun. That was all by faith. And a lot of times God met me with amazing encounters because it was straight up faith. So I understand that journey.

18:45 - God didn't just zap me - I've spent time cultivating relationship - God didn’t just zap me. I'v spent hours on end just talking to Him and receiving His love and thanking Him for being so good.

19:20 - Special gifts are given for the sake of the whole body - to reproduce after its own kind. God wouldn't anoint someone to teach something that you couldn't have.

19:35 - You have to understand that there were seasons in my life where all that I prayed for were revelations of God's love. I would turn the clocks to the wall. I've spent countless hours developing this communion with God - to where when I'm driving I'm just Godward - I'm thinking, I'm running things through my heart and God is there. It's just knowing Him.

20:00 - We have the amazing privilege of knowing Him through time alone with Him - So that's what we're inviting you into. It's not just a "special touch of God." People didn't understand that I was spending so much time alone with God at a capacity that they had never considered. People write it off as a special grace. That sidesteps the great privilege you have of knowing Him.

➡ 20:35 - So I just wanted to answer those questions and now we are going to jump into Hebrews 10.

Intimate Relationship

20:45 - Participant's comment - “intercourse” - nothing can get in between them - deep intimacy - agape - co-union.

21:45 - Deep intimacy with God - I'll bring up a personal prayer in light of what you have said. Shared this at the Global school - This might freak some of you out but I think you can handle it. It has to do with this co-union, communion thought - Father I open myself up to You - unreserved and unashamed. Here I am. Come into me and deposit the seed of who You are. Impregnate me God, so that I can give birth to Your will. And anything that comes out of me is going to look just like You. Come into me Lord and deposit Yourself into me... And I would pray that way as a communion thought spiritually. It's pretty deep. And it's not weird. So my spirit is like this (9 months pregnant). And I am about ready to bear down on something and push - and give birth to something - all of the time. It's a spiritual thing.

23:15 - Ok, Hebrews 10...

23:20 - But it's true I have prayed that way many times. Come into me and impregnate me. Come inside of me and touch my spirit and deposit the seed of who you are inside of me. And impregnate me God with the revelation of your will. That's an intimate prayer. It's not to impress anyone. It's not for any other reason than to know Him.

24:00 - We get distracted from that relationship - We say we are hungry but are we really hungry? Are we seeking His face? Alone time with God. No other motive than to know Him. Or are we distracted, occupied and we think we are busy? You are occupied. Texting / technology - strategy to make you feel inundated, needed, busy, important. Son loses cell phone with 700 contacts. But you can't know 700 people. It's superficial. It's taking the place of something. We fall into it because of need in our lives. It tries to meet a need that only knowing Him can fulfill.

Overview of the School

26:00 - Establish righteousness - Ephesians 3 - We will nail this big when we start talking about becoming love - in the next week or so - Because I want to cover communion with God and becoming love - and I know those things are in the order of the Spirit. Settle, first, on your right standing with God, righteousness and get free from sin-thoughts / sin-consciousness / sin-mentality / sin-desire / pulling and tugging. Stop believing you’re just prone to sin - well that’s just the way we are. You need to deal with that and stop letting the devil lie to you. You’re not waking up being pulled and tugged, shook and shaken. You give yourself to the Lord. We’re going to hit that hard today.

27:00 - Righteousness leads into communion - You give yourself to Him. You present the members of your being unto righteousness - not unrighteousness. Without that (righteousness) firmly established you won’t have the true desire when you are all alone with God to seek His face. Because you’ve got other things identifying you, driving you, drawing you, ministering to you. But when you understand righteousness and give yourself to righteousness and faith, it promotes, instigates, stirs up the desire to be with Him and know Him.

27:50 - Communion leads into receiving and becoming love - You don’t love Him first. You don't love God because it's the Christian thing to do. You love God because He first loves you. So what inspires your love response is totally seeing and receiving and wearing His love. Then you want to hang out with Him.

28:10 - We bail on relationship and just try to DO what seems right - We don’t give Him that place in our lives. We’re just trying to DO kind of right. No, when I see His love for me it triggers my heart - the goodness of God changes me. Biggest trap - all these other things that keep you from letting that (relationship) matter as #1.

28:35 - Receiving His first love is so important - Receiving the love of God is #1. But there are a lot of other things that seem super important in our lives - but they are not really that important. Our opportunity to relate to God is so amazing. If that relationship were not so important, satan would not try so hard to disrupt it.

Purpose

29:30 - Ephesians 3 - God's purpose in sending His Son - To manifest who He is through His church - In Ephesians 3 Paul shares the intent of God in sending His Son. Paul was given this mystery to preach - Christ in us and Christ to the Gentiles and this mystery that has been hidden through the ages (v.8-9). And now it has been revealed. The cat is out of the bag. He is telling us the intent of God... This is the purpose of God...

30:10 - v.10 - To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, - Another translation...Wisdom of God made known by His people to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places - The wisdom of God would be made know through His people. God is going to thoroughly manifest Himself through His church - which He created in His image - which seemed to be fallen and not able to get up. But God let His Son take the fall so He could get us back up and breathe Spirit back into us. And now we can manifest His glory. So God brought the gospel so that we could shine and reveal who God is to the world.

30:55 - The truth of God's purpose - v.11 - According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: - according to the eternal purpose - He always made you for that. He always meant this for you - for you to be filled with His Spirit - to manifest His nature - to walk in His image and confound the wisdom of the wise and in the face of darkness shine as light. He always made you for that. You've never had a different purpose. God never changed His plan. It's the eternal purpose of God. It's who you are and why all wrapped up in one. It's why you have breath today.

31:30 - Give yourself to His purpose - God breathes on faith to establish us in this truth - I've given myself to this. That's why I am passionate. I have surrendered, made sacrifice - the labor of love - the patience of hope - the work of faith - to attain this. It's not a works thing, faith took me there. Yes, I have a revelation. God has breathed on that faith. I don't see anything else. I am alive for this reason.

32:00 - Now, it's not even hard for me to keep from having an attitude or being angry, or selfish or jealous. What? That's not even a trial to me. It's been obliterated through this understanding. Was it always that way? (No,) I grew into that. I'm more extreme in that than I ever was. So I am not like a man struggling to stay afloat and "Thank God that He considers me." I've given myself to these things and He has breathed on that and empowered me to live what I never could have lived if He didn't breathe on that. But the key is I want that.

32:50 - Many have not given themselves completely - Some of us need to get real with ourselves. Some of us still want our right to have a right - and say, "enough is enough." "Well, you can go that far but that's far enough." We have limitations set. We still have rights. We still have things in our lives that are stopping the image of God from manifesting from the inside out.

33:25 - Sell out prices - We have sell out prices. Judas said, "What will you give me to betray Him?" - Mt. 26:15. And for Judas it was only 30 pieces of silver. Some of us wouldn't even consider that. But there are some things that we will do. There are some things that could happen to us that could stop (the manifestation of) the image of Christ. Example - where we would take occasion for the flesh and say, "Enough is enough" and stand for our rights.

33:50 - Renouncing rights - You have to get to the place where you are dead - where you get alone with God and say, You know what - the best I understand I don't even want a right I don't have a right except to manifest who you are. The intent of you creating me was to manifest your image. What would I live anything else for? Why would I covet this life and take advantage of it and start living for other things and pursuing other things apart from You first. That way, everything else is in the light of you and it will never get goofy and muddy and funny. I'm talking passionate and militant today.

34:25 - Being a Christian means manifesting Him - The intent of God in sending the gospel is to make known His manifold wisdom through your life to the world you live in and the powers that seem to control it. Your life becomes a testimony, a conviction, a judgment to the powers of darkness. And all of the sudden everywhere they look they see Christ in us because we are surrendered, sold out and filled with the Spirit of God and our integrity is squeaky clean. Our motives are super pure and we see God. It's called being a Christian.

35:05 - We thought a Christian goes to church and sings happy songs and then does his best to live kind of good.

35:25 - Boot camp - Prepare to represent well - I'm feeling kind of boot campy. You sweat a little in boot camp. You get stretched in boot camp - your muscles hurt. Boot camp trains you and equips you for war. And after a while you are not worried about the training any more because you start getting a little healthy pride in what you are representing and the uniform you wear and what you are fighting for. And all of the sudden that overtakes all of the work and effort to get suited up. All of the sudden you don't mind the sweat and the jogging any more - the heat - the pressure - the drill sergeant drilling you. All of the sudden you stand up and you realize what you are wearing and what you are representing and what all of this is for. All of the sudden it doesn't matter any more because you are standing for something instead of falling for everything.

36:45 - Technology - I don't have a cell phone or a computer and look at this - Pastor freaked out - I'm alive! Actually very alive and not distracted. And I'm not against cell phones. But I wonder who has the capacity to have all of this technology and still be in a good place.

37:40 - Yield to God's plan - Why struggle apart from it - v.10 - [Another translation] - God has a predestined, eternal purpose and plan for our lives and that’s why we’re alive. You're not alive by happenstance. You're not alive just because two people came together. You're alive because God said so and has an eternal purpose and an eternal plan. Now, why would I try to live anything else and struggle for anything less than what I'm here for and where total grace is found. Everything else makes life an experiment or your own agenda and journey. If I wasn't created for me and I was created for His image and I finally realize that through the word of God, why don't I yield to that so I find a place of grace and favor to walk out that destiny rather than push against the bricks and fight to have my own way. That's separating me from the very one that put me here with purpose.

38:40 - That would be like you driving in a car where you turn right and it turns left. You can’t steer it. Like a car with a mind of its own. The car was created for you to drive. But until it takes you to where you want to go it hasn’t fulfilled its purpose. It would have no value to you. You wouldn’t get in it anymore.

39:20 - You have to realize that you have a created purpose. And the Bible make it real clear...

39:25 - v.11 - According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: - "which He accomplished" - So you're not under the pressure of of fulfilling this. You just yield to it and go with the river of God. Go with the flow of grace.

39:50 - So Christ redeemed us. Got us back up out of the fall. Put us right back on track. And every man must be born again.

Access to God

40:00 - v.12 - In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. -

I have boldness - His heart towards us is revealed - Boldness - Because we see this as true and because of God's love and mercy to come and redeem us and restore our eternal purpose and value, not just throw us away... "Well, I made you to live for me. You're not living for me so <buzz>. That's not God. He woos and draws and it speaks to our hearts.

41:20 - He woos even when we mess up - There are times when you get your life in a messed up place. And you knew it. And these thoughts come to you. They are soft. They are wooing. "Man, you know, it doesn't have to be this way." Just sweet thoughts. Countering thoughts (to the mess). That sure beats God hovering over you and pinning you to the bed, "So, you want to live for yourself!" That would make for Christian robots, living out of fear. Instead of the goodness of God and the love relationship. That's what's so amazing about God.

42:40 - [Extended comments on God hypothetically dictating life] Instead, God humbled Himself, took on flesh and came and died for His man. So that man would get the picture and see and fall in love. That's all that wrong with me. It only took 33 years.

42:50 - His heart is revealed - So I have boldness. Why? Because I see His heart. I know who He is. I realize that He came to rescue me. He loves me. He's not mad a me. He has purpose for me. So I have boldness. Why? Because His heart is revealed. I’m not afraid of Him. I'm not afraid to approach Him.

43:00 - I have access - Access - I have boldness and I have access. This is where faith comes in. You either have access or you don't. If we believe we have access, why aren’t we accessing?

43:25 - I have confidence - With confidence - Confidence and pride are two different things. Don't think that confidence has anything to do with pride. You’re supposed to have confidence. You're supposed to not throw away your confidence - Heb. 10:35.It has nothing to do with presumption and pride. He’s the one that put the confidence and boldness in me by revealing His heart.

43:50 - I have boldness and access with confidence through faith - Through faith in Him - There are no "Yeah, buts." You step into the truth and say thank you.

44:15 - Here's what faith looks like - Thank You Father, that I have amazing purpose in my life. And even though I don't see totally clear like I believe I could, You created me with reason (for a reason, purpose). Would You reveal why I am on this earth. Would You make it really clear what it means to have Christ in me. Would You begin to father me and show me the intent of Your heart in designing me and fashioning me before the foundation of the world. Before you ever formed the world You fashioned me in Your heart. You shaped me in Your mind. You shaped me in Your vision. Would You reveal the beauty of that legacy? Would You reveal that destiny to my heart? Just start right there saying, "I ready to run God." That would bring great favor and grace to your life. Not many of us have thought that way.

45:10 - That's what faith does. Faith seeks Him. What does it mean to seek Him? We’ve been conditioned just to pray about trouble.

45:35 - We've made the gospel all about us - Discouragement - We've been trained to let this gospel be so self-focused and self-centered instead of knowing Him and loving Him and becoming like Him. That's why there are a lot of people who are discouraged, back-slidden, distracted and not all excited about the good tidings of great joy.

46:00 - What’s the difference between pride and confidence when coming into the throne room? Confidence comes from knowing Him and His heart. Pride is presumption. Boldness and confidence go hand in hand. What gives me boldness to go into the throne room of grace? Because I see Jesus, the High Priest sitting there representing me. He came to die for me - to restore me back to the Father. He didn't come to take me to heaven. He came to get me back to the Father. I am the way, the truth and the life - John 14:6. What's He the way of? He's the way back to the Father. So I have confidence to approach Him now because He came to get me while I was lost. Presumption / pride is just disregarding all of that and just assuming, "Hey, I am right with God. God understands. God knows my heart..."

47:00 - Presumption - Continuing sin - Lady willfully sinning yet embraced a language of intimacy. She would outwardly talk to the Lord even though she was not in fellowship with Him. Presumption grew in her heart. Then her life went completely into the darkness. Instead of letting the gospel build integrity in her, she took this message as permission for the flesh. Adultery.

48:25 - Continuing sin is at odds with who you were created to be - Paul says, "Shall we continue in sin so that grace is flowing everywhere? No!" - Rom. 6:1. Because you were not created for sin. You were created for God's pleasure. You were not created for flesh pleasure - for less than Him.

48:50 - Presumption vs. Repentance - So there is a pride and a presumption. There is a repentance that takes account for your life, responsibility for your actions without getting condemned for your actions and says, "Oh, God..." and comes into Him, receiving His love - receiving change. Versus "Hey whatever. He loves me. He knows my heart."

Willful Sin

49:20 - Counselling young people - Fornication - I can't tell you the number of young folks that get that impression. Young folks sleeping together - "God will forgive us anyway." And they do that many times. When you counsel they say, "Well, God loves us. You preach forgiveness. We just can't help it. We love each other and we're going to get married soon. God still forgives us." There’s no way your conscience can get clear. That's willful.

50:10 - It's not just a rule - There is a reason behind it - That's just you fulfilling your desire and not gaining understanding of why this is not just a law. This is not just a law. There is a good benefit in the whole abstinence thing. There is a beauty to it that needs to be explained.

50:30 - "We can't help it - God won't judge us for something we can't help" - Their response might be, "Oh, well, we can't help it. God’s not going to judge us for something we can’t help. So when we do this we look at each other and say, 'We shouldn't do this.' But then we say, 'But God will forgive us.'" So they do it. "Forgive me." Do it. "Forgive me..."

50:45 - Effects - You will stalemate your spiritual growth, muddy your soul and get yourself in delusion and presumption. You will be presumptuously approaching him and won't even know Him if you continue in that.

51:00 - God won't enable sin - Pastors are afraid of enabling sin - God can't be in the midst of that because He would be empowering something (sin), enabling something. This is why some people are afraid to preach righteousness for fear of empowering sin. People take what you say and make it what they need it to say to cover face. I'm not afraid to preach it because if anyone hears with a hearing ear this message changes your life. It doesn't empower your sin. It changes your life.

51:30 - And it's not just the young people - all ages...

51:40 - Women in 50s with STDs. It's people with insecurity in them. There are people that need to be with someone to fill a void that only Christ can fill.

52:15 - Lady with STD in 50s - recently divorced - alone and hurt - I’m not that kind of girl - healed - that’s not who I am - so if that is not her, how can that fruit remain in her? - it can’t.

55:00 - Repentance - That's not who I am - If she is sorry and her heart breaks and she realizes what she's done and doesn't get curled up in condemnation and shame but repents... What she is saying is, "That's not who I am. That was deception. That was a moment of feeling sorry for myself. I got snared and captured. It is not who I am." That's what she is doing by talking to me. That's the statement that she's making.

55:30 - If that is not me how can sickness hang on - It can't - So if that is not who she is then how can the fruit of who that was still remain in her if that's not her? This thing is spiritual and it's (that sickness is) legalistic. Devils are very legalistic. They stick to sin like velcro. And now it's there because it has the right to be there because you "opened the door."

56:00 - "I opened the door" - Well shut it - Repent - People say, "Well, I deserve it. I opened the door." Well, close the door. "I'm just reaping what I've sown." Plow the ground and let's get some new seed in there. Let's get a harvest. Pull out the weeds. Come on. Repent. Change the way that you think and you are no longer that person and the Spirit of God and God's goodness and grace comes upon you and makes all things new.

57:00 - Guilt, condemnation and shame - Devil tries to take advantage of a pure heart - People struggle with guilt, condemnation, shame because of the things that they have done. They don't understand that satan plays off the fact their heart is pure and they do really care. If you didn’t care you wouldn’t have any capacity for guilt, condemnation or shame. You’d be cold, calloused - whatever. So the guilt, condemnation and shame reveals that you do care. Satan, like a snake in the grass, is trying to tie you to your care and make you condemned instead of redeemed. What a rat! I think we ought to listen to Jesus instead of him.

Adversity

58:00 - Eph. 3 - v.13 - Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. -

Don't lose heart in adversity - Don’t even let what I am going through distract you from this truth. Don let adversity or trials sideline you and pick back up your old self - your own life. He's saying this right on the heels of "This is your destiny..." If this is your calling, then don't let what I am going through in life take you off of that truth. That's what we do. We get this joy for a moment, "Wow, this is so good. I'm going to walk this out." Then we are hit with life - adversity comes. "Oh God, why is this happening?..." Paul is saying, "Don't you ever lose heart."

58:45 - Adversity is the opportunity to manifest Jesus - You glory in your tribulation - Rom. 5:3. Why? Because you have the ability to persevere and character build and manifest Jesus. Adversity brings the privilege of revealing the Son through you.

59:10 - When you incorporate Jesus for blessing, adversity is a problem - Die to live - We haven't heard a gospel that tells us die to live. We've just incorporated Him in for blessing. When you just incorporate Jesus into your life adversity doesn’t sound like blessing. But Paul says that we glory in our tribulation. Because it is the privilege to manifest the Christ in you. You ought to have great joy because the tidings are good.

100:20 - v.14 - For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, - This is the reason that Paul is praying the prayer that is coming up. For what reason? That the wisdom of God be revealed to the powers of the earth through our lives. For this reason I pray - that you be perfected and formed in love. So what is the manifold wisdom of God manifested through your life? When you and I become like Him and become love and take on His nature and manifest His heart to the earth. This message is all through the Bible.

Filled with All the Fullness of God

➡ 101:00 - [skipping ahead to] - v.19 - And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. - Here is what I want you to see...

Don't wait to be zapped - Receive His love by faith - to know the love of Christ - To know - (Interlinear - working knowledge gleaned from first-hand, personal experience - {Helps Word Studies}) - to perceive, to understand, to recognize, to realize.. to personally experience. It's the recognition of truth by personal experience. To know the love of Christ... If you are waiting for God to drop that onto your lap - to just zap you with that and call that a gift - you are going to be deceived. You RECEIVE His love. You believe His love and know His love.

102:45 - [backing up to] v.15-17 - Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, - that Christ may dwell in your hearts BY FAITH… He doesn’t skip around faith. He’s not talking about a mystical manifestation from God. That you be rooted and grounded in love - through faith.

103:00 - v.18 - May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; - that you be able to comprehend… Praying for removal of all obstacles - stumble, trap, deceive, limit, regulate - your understanding. That God would make clean the path of your understanding so that you can perceive and comprehend this thing - get you out of the way so that He can go, "Tada."

103:25 - v.19 - And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. - filled with ALL the...

FULLNESS of God… I don’t even know what that means. But I know it’s incredible. I know what fullness means. Fullness means - a house with no empty rooms; a town with no empty houses.

104:10 - Out of fullness flows... - I know that when there is fullness in me, that every motivation comes out of that fullness - every action and desire comes out of that fullness.

104:20 - Emptiness drives need... When there is not fullness in me, then every action, every desire comes out of the deficit, the drive, the need, the emptiness. And that's why we do a lot of what we do because we haven't been established in love.

104:40 - To know His love is to be filled with fullness, so to not know His love is to have deficit. And that's what drives us, need, emptiness, insecurity, a lack of esteem and identity - trying to find ourselves through life and through one another - support systems. But to know the love of Christ → filled, fullness - no empty room.

105:15 - So then when I say, "I love you," I say it from the place of truth - no strings - no expectations - completely for your sake. That's the position we ought to all put one another in.

105:30 - So we thank Him for filling us with a fullness we might not feel? Yes. This is good to incorporate communion here with the idea of being filled with all the fullness of God... Don't make appointments with God. You are in fellowship with God. But there are times when you can be alone with Him and you can capture that moment.

106:40 - A year off to seek God - Friend who took a year off to seek the Lord. He had saved up. At the end of the year he came to me and cried because a whole year had gone by and he hadn't really gotten intimate with the Lord. He said, "My time just got occupied and I just lived life." That happens quickly to people.

107:05 - Do you REALLY want Him? - If so, you WILL seek Him - It’s easy to say we are hungry but our life reveals our hunger. Because if I really want Him, I’m going to seek Him, not just say, "I want Him." Just get real with your own heart.

107:10 - Objection: That kind of communion is only for Dan - So I spent countless time doing this... And this is what Holy Spirit led me in when I first got saved. He led me there. Some people would say, "See that was sovereign" - (as in that kind of communion is a special gift especially for Dan).

107:30 - No, I have that communion because I gave myself to Him - I believe - and I know that we are saved by grace - I believe that the night that I got saved I got out of denial. God moved on my heart. Of course He did. It's grace that saves us. But there was a total surrender that night. I gave myself to Him. Some people find themselves going along the way and giving more and more as they go. I suggest that you get alone and just purpose to give yourself to Him. Even if you are not sure what that means. Get alone with God and...

108:00 - Give yourself to Him - And trust Him to figure out what needs exposing - I give myself to you. And if, in any way, I'm reserving rights or holding things to myself, Holy Spirit you are my friend, You show me this because I will let it go. That way you are not nitpicking, searching, introspecting with negative resumes. You are just seeking God and along the way things get stripped and cleaned out. And you are not always fishing and looking back.

108:30 - God keeps us - I have a greater faith in His ability to keep me than in me being misled. Because I know that without Him keeping me, I'm already toast. I've learned that. If He didn't come and father me at times and show me things, I was in the dark. But because of this faith before Him and this relationship... And even asking Holy Spirit...

108:40 - Look, I know You love me. I don't care by what means of discipline... If you have to kick me in the butt, whatever that means, keep me in You. I've talked that way to the Lord. And He probably chuckles. I'm just saying, "I'm yours."

108:55 - At times He will rescue me, save me - when I am ready to follow the wrong thinking. He'll go, "What are you doing?"

109:10 - God exposed negative thinking - Driving - mind in a negative tone for about a mile. I don't want to be negative but I fell into it that day. A situation was not going the way that I anticipated. - "Boy, Dan, now would be a good time to practice all that stuff you preach." - You got me! It made me laugh so hard. He’s a friend. It snapped me right out of that. My response: I started to see it through Christ. And I countered all of that and just washed all that negativity away and just crushed it with faith before the throne. Why? Because He came and fathered me and rescued me. Why? Because I want Him to. I don't have reserved rights. I want Him to. So I get alone...

111:00 - Get alone and commune - Father, I thank you that you are everything that I will ever need. You're the fullness of my life. You're the strength and the security of my life. Father, I don't need the honor of men - approval and affirmation. If men encourage me, so be it. But I am not living for it. My life is in you. My strength is in you. Everything I ever am and will be is found in you. It's your grace that satisfies me. It's knowing you and your love. Father, you have made me complete. You've made me strong. You've made me one in you... I could take that last line and go for a half of an hour and forget that you are here and have communion. And it would just get bigger in me.

112:00 - And I believe it. It's not saying that it's my current reality right now but I know that it's true. I know that He is all that I need. All that I need is You, Lord Jesus.

112:15 - Commune through a song - I've sung that song: All that I need is You, Jesus. All that I need is you. I've sung that song for so many hours. Songs like that... [extended communion]. Hours... Hours... You have no idea. Another song: What a friend I’ve found, closer than a brother…

113:15 - Hours... It doesn't get monotonous. "Can you hit another track brother?" Let it play. I’m becoming the truth in that song. I'm not listening for entertainment - to appease the distracted mind. I'm not reading my Bible to be a Christian - to feel Christian. I'm reading my Bible to know Him and to become the word. So let it play... I'm becoming the truth on that song. Song: Jesus, what a friend I have found. Sometimes laugh, cry, quiet - sinking in. Go with the flow. And you let the truth make you free - John 8:31-32.

114:15 - I think we are in a hurry - we're striving - we're struggling... If I could just prophesy, I would feel... If I could just heal... No, if I can just know Him everything will be OK. So get alone and trust that He is there. Don't think things like, "Well obviously this doesn’t work for me." No. We've been teaching faith all along...

114:45 - Release faith through thanksgiving - Father, You absolutely love me. Thanks for being here. Thanks for filling my heart with all that You are and causing me to understand and see the depths and beauty of Your love. Thanks for forming me in Christ. Holy Spirit, I appreciate all that You're doing in me. And I thank You that You are etching me, molding me, shaping me and making me more like You. Thank You that every trial in life is helping perfect Christ in me. I am not moved by adversity. I am moved by Your love. Your hand is upon me. And I worship You and honor You and give my whole being to You. Thank You that when men look into my face they see Your light. When they look into my eyes, they know Your love, because Father, You have made me one with You... I pray that stuff. I think that stuff. I talk that stuff. Can you tell. It's what's wrong with me.

Intercession

115:45 - Healthy intercession - See in agreement with God for others - You want to pray from a faith that works through love. You want to see in agreement with God. You want to address these situations and speak life over them and not just fret and complain and try to positionally pray correctly.

116:15 - How many things have we prayed and haven't seen change? Tons. And the more that happens, the more you're aware of that and aware of what needs to change. And it drives you. It doesn't drive you to Him but in another way.

116:30 - See from His perspective - You'd be amazed that you don't even see things the same way. It's not denial it's just seeing things through the light. Things don't move you, drive you, hurt you, scare you. When you are living this (intimate relationship) you are looking from His seat. And your response is totally different than you, in your own seat, as a Christian trying to serve God. It's a whole different perspective. You have to walk in it to understand it. You are seeing from His view. That perspective is void of fear, worry, concern. You're not reducing prayer to a method and scripture to a principle.

* * *

117:20 - We're not just applying a method to get a result - We're living in relationship where faith and grace flow - We’ve reduced scripture to a principle and a method that we proclaim to get a result. That’s so impersonal and doesn’t build relationship with God. If anything it challenges relationship because your intellect will say, "Well, why didn’t it work and where was God?" Or it causes introspection - "What am I doing wrong? Why didn't God answer my prayer?" All of that confronts closeness. If to know His love is to be filled with all of His fullness (Eph. 3:19), that’s where I am camping. Everything is going to flow from there - even faith works through love - Gal. 5:6.

➡ 117:55 - Do you see why I am taking so much time on righteousness and being free from sin-consciousness and all that stuff? Because faith works through love - you’re rooted and grounded in love - Eph 3:17. (And love is only received and entered into if you are sure that you are accepted in His presence - righteousness.)

Righteousness - Hebrews 10

➡ 118:05 - Hebrews 10 - before break and then we'll go to Romans 6 after break and try to wrap this thing up (righteousness).

118:45 - Recap of Hebrews 10 (see first part of discussion at Day 6 @1:43:00) - v.1-2 - The writer is saying that the goal is to get free from the consciousness of sin. And that this first way through the law and sacrifices didn’t get it done or the sacrifices would cease to be offered. But the accomplishment of Christ is to make you complete and no more consciousness of sin.

119:35 - v.3-4 - Why can't animals take away man's sin. It's blood for blood. Man for man.

120:00 - Sacrifice of animals - It's all pointing to what is to come. Innocent animals point to innocent man shedding blood to wash away sin. It's all pointing to Christ. One day a man, completely innocent is going to die the same way. And His blood is going to wash your sin away. Behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world - John 1:29.

121:15 - v.5 - Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: - body you have prepared for ME - He was made to be a man - flesh. Man was created for the image of God. God told him to subdue the earth - to have have dominion. And by the authority and grace of God He was to govern the earth. What man failed, Jesus came and became a man and fulfilled. He was the last Adam. So He became the captain of our salvation - the perfect sacrifice. He was tempted at all points without sin. He walked through trials and testings - rejection, adversity, temptations of devils. He went through the wilderness just like the children of Israel...

Wilderness Experiences - Selfish vs. Selfless

121:50 - Comparison of wilderness experiences - Selfless v. selfish - 40 years vs. 40 days - they died in the wilderness - Jesus came out of the wilderness in power - Why? They were selfish. He was selfless. Big difference - 40 years and die vs. 40 days and Spirit and power. Same wilderness, same atmosphere, same God, same devil - Different motive. Selfish - "What about us? What would be better for us?" Complaining - "Where is God? If He is so good why are we out in this wretched rocky place?" Well, if He wasn't good why is He providing food, heat and cooling, clothing... We miss that and then all of the sudden the gospel is not enough.

122:45 - Manna points to Jesus - And they loathe the worthless bread that was sustaining them. It was a sign of life. Pointing to the bread that was to come from heaven. Pointing to Christ.

123:00 - He says in 1 Corinthian 10:9 - Don't you do what they did. And don't you tempt Christ like they did in the wilderness. That means that they loathed the worthless bread. This gospel, this bread, your provision is not enough for my life.

123:20 - They had different perspectives - Complaints of Israel - Mentality - protect yourself - young and old alike. Perspective. So you come out of your tent door and you go, "Argh, same old stuff again. Here we go again." You've got to guard your heart - be the steward of your heart. [Complaints of the Israelites]

123:40 - Mana means "what is it?" Well it was keeping them alive. It was a miracle. It was coming while they were sleeping at night. And it was on the ground every morning guaranteed. They were only allowed to take enough for today so that they'd enjoy the glory and goodness and provision of God everyday and keep their heart in tune. And not take for granted the blessing. But what did they do? All of the sudden, it's not good enough. And here is this bread - we don't even know what it is.

124:05 - Who cares what it is? It's from God and it's keeping you alive. It's a sign from God that He is there. And when things look really bad, He is there. He is your sustenance. He is the Lord.

124:20 - Versus thanksgiving - So they are coming out of their tent doors, disdaining the bread. Complaining against Moses and God. Versus coming out of your tent and going, "Oh God, there you go again. You are so amazing. I can sleep in total peace knowing that, in the middle of nowhere, You are here. And You are Somebody that loves us. I'll never fear again..."

125:35 - Don't lose sight of the big picture - We complain if we are not careful, instead of catching what it was really all about. That when things look really bad and really tough don't miss the glory of who He really is. When things don't seem to be panning out, don't lose sight of who He is.

126:00 - 40 years and wandered and died vs. 40 days anointed, Spirit and power, fulfilled ministry. There's a lesson there. Follow Him.

Righteousness (cont.)

126:20 - He came as a Man - A body you have prepared - He’s still the Man. He is not a spirit. After He rose from the dead He walked through the wall as a man empowered by God. He said to His disciples, Touch me, for a spirit doesn't have flesh and bone as I do - Luke 24:39. What is He trying to get across? He wants us to know that positionally, legally, theologically, He is still a man. Because He is about to ascend as a man - the Man - capital M-a-n. No man can mediate between God and man but the Man - 1 Tim. 2:5. He wants you to know that He is still a man sitting on His own blood on the mercy seat at the right hand of the Father, mediating on behalf of mankind. A Man is in the holy tabernacle - a high priest forever able to save to the uttermost those who come to Him by faith because He never dies or changes - Heb 7:25. Do you see where confidence comes from? So this either becomes doctrine or you give yourself to this truth, God breathes on it and the truth makes you free. Or you just go to Bible school and get a degree in Bible.

127:45 - Bible knowledge - You don’t need just knowledge - that takes the place of your relationship with God. Your Bible knowledge won't save you. Knowledge puffs you up but love edifies - 1 Cor. 8:1.

128:15 - v.6-7 - In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. - It’s the will of God for Christ to come and be the sacrifice - redeem man - conquer death - remove sin. Everything Jesus did was the will of God. When you’ve seen me, you’ve seen the Father - John 14:9. I only do your will - John 5:19.

128:55 - v.8-10 - Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. - He’s taking away the old order to establish the second. Sanctified - set apart - called out of darkness into the light. Once for all - every person.

129:25 - v.11 - And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: - NEVER take away sins - nothing but the blood of Jesus. It’s not even you fretting enough. It's you believing enough. If you fret, only do it for about three seconds - it qualifies your heart. Then thank God that you are clean. He wants you at peace with Him. It does not do God or you any good for you to be downcast all day because you blew it. There is a repentance - sometimes a deep godly sorrow, but it should be only for a moment.

130:55 - Box of Kleenex - Do you know why you live the way you do? - Receive the grace - Be a son - Wrecked in worship - whole box of Kleenex - I love you - Do you know why you live the way you do? Consistency, continued joy, no condemnation, no despair, no depression, no discouragement - pumped and alive inside. It’s because of your grace, Lord. No. - You have to be in a position to RECEIVE that grace - to enjoy the gift. It’s one thing to be positionally righteous but another to live that way - to wear it. On the night you got saved, you were sin-conscious for a moment, and ever since that moment you’ve been a son in your heart. He’s the One that allows me to be a son. But I’m the one who has to say, Thank you, OK, that’s what I’ll be. So is it His grace that saves me? Yes. But if my perspective isn’t in agreement with truth, I can’t walk in the blessing of that truth. I could let condemnation eat my lunch. I could let lies rob me. I could let other things mean more.

134:35 - We are right here at the big punch line...

➡ 134:40 - v.12-13 - But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. - But God... But this man - Capital M-a-n... He wants you to see that He came as a man. Single sacrifice - for sins forever.

136:10 - v.14 - We're Perfected forever through His sacrifice - For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. - He has - past tense. Listen to this → PERFECTED FOREVER those who are being sanctified - those who want to be born again - called out of darkness - set apart. "I want to be a child of God." Well then that's what matters. "I don't want to live for myself." Then you qualify. "I don't want to sin." Then you qualify. "Come on in. I paid the price to forever make you complete in my sight. Now come and be a son and run well." Perfected forever - It is finished. He perfected forever those who believe. So what are you right now? Perfect. And where is sin? Gone. Holy, blameless, above reproach.

137:50 - Why aren't we teaching and believing this passionately our whole lives? And being the living product of this truth?

138:00 - BREAK

Righteousness (cont.)

139:20 - Hebrews 10 continued - God has made a way for us to approach Him with an unveiled face - The gospel is all about having a good conscience, a clear conscience - the healing of your conscience toward God. We’ve all lived apart from Him. But the gospel redeems our conscience, so that we can approach Him with an unveiled face. Because He forgave sins forever. He wiped them out forever

140:00 - v.15-18 - Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin. - I will remember their sins and their misdeeds no more. That's amazing. We just need to believe that. Remission - removal of sins.

140:45 - v.19 - Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, - Therefore - because this is all true… The whole purpose of him writing all of this is so that you have boldness / confidence to enter that holy place - by faith through the blood of Jesus and know that you are made to be a child.

141:00 - v.20 - By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; - new and living way - Not by the sacrifice of animals. (Cat comment - cats came after the fall)

142:00 - Teasing granddaughter over 2 cats - busy road

143:15 - v.19 - Do you see where humility comes from? He opened the door. He paved the way. He made it possible. If He went to that extreme He must want you there. If He went to the extreme of shedding His blood to open the door, He must want you to come through. The door is open that you might come home. He’s made the way possible for you to be free. You have to receive the freedom.

144:20 - v.20

144:50 - v.21 - And having an high priest over the house of God; - our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience - It sounds like we’ve been made clean - This whole thing is the answer of a good conscience.

145:00 - v.22 - Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. - Therefore, have boldness and enter into His throne room. Come boldly. Don’t visit there, live there. It's relationship. Don't try God. Don't make it a method and then say, "This isn't working for me." No, you start by faith and you live by faith. The way I first entered in is the way I walk in Him (faith - Col. 2:6).

145:30 - Mediator - High Priest over the house of God - We have One representing us before God - He also represented God’s heart to us and us to God. That's what makes Him a Mediator. So He came and represented the heart of God towards us. And in our response through His sacrifice, He takes and represents us back to God.

146:25 - Draw near with a sincere, true heart. Full assurance of faith - see how faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God? I know faith works through love but it's the word that makes it all known.

146:50 - v.23 - Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) -

He is faithful - Take Him at His word - hold fast - intense language - without waiver. Why? Because He who promised is faithful. If He said, "I love you" then what? He loves you. If He said that He made a way then what? He made a way. If He said, "It is finished" then what? It's finished. So take Him at His word. So don't you waiver.

147:25 - Challenges to your faith - Remember - Holy, blameless and above reproach if indeed you continue steadfast in the faith and are not moved away from the hope in which you heard - Col. 1:22. Do you hear the passion of that language? Sounds like it may be a challenge - and a battle - That satan will try to get you deceived, distracted - condemned, ashamed even though you are really holy, blameless and above reproach. That he might try to get you in a mindset that robs you of your identity and get you to act on that. And then say, "See, you’re not pure… you’ll never be free." Wrong thinking leading to wrong believing and then wrong speaking or acting, then condemnation.

If You Stumble

148:35 - If you stumble - Don't throw away your identity - Continual righteousness - Even if you sin… 1 John 2:1 If you sin, not when you sin. I’m not sin waiting to happen. I am a son. But if I sin… It's not a permission slip to sin. It's a safety net for if I sin. It's a safety thing. It's God saying, if you sin don’t throw away your identity - just know you have an advocate, Jesus the righteous and His mercy before me on your behalf will keep you clean. And this provision is not just available for you but for the whole world. Not when you sin... but if you sin. Why? Because He doesn’t want you even thinking sin (continually thinking about the possibility of sinning).

149:00 - Romans 6 - remember it’s one big letter. You can't interpret Romans 7 wrong if you read Romans 5, 6 and 8.

150:30 - I want you so free in this regard... Did you hear the language of Heb 10? You can have BOLDNESS to enter His presence. Full assurance, confidence that you’re His and He loves you and He paid the price necessary to qualify you because He sees the best in you/potential in you. Even if you are not feeling all that and believing all that, you can believe that He sees that. And you can pursue Him and let Him reveal that to you in the process. In your light, I see light. Don't talk yourself out of Him. It's the flesh if that is happening.

151:05 - Continual righteousness - Key: Purity / Sincere heart - If you are sincere that stumble is just a growing thing - Is our sin totally remitted - past, present and future? - It's everything. Not and when you sin - but if you sin, don't fall apart and throw away your identity. Just know that you have an Advocate, Jesus the righteous. That ought to cause you to love Him all the more. Heb 10:22 - Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. - Here is the key: So let us draw near with a true heart. You becoming true and sincere in your heart motive of life... You're not waking up to find a way to sin and get away with it. You're waking up to know God more, walk in sonship. If along the way you bump into the weakness of flesh… that’s a growing thing...

152:50 - If you stumble - Father I thank You that this isn't who You created me to be. I thank You Father that I see in the light of who You are that I am called to a higher calling. And thank You for perfecting me, loving me, maturing me and giving me wisdom. I am so excited because I would not have seen that a year ago. You are growing me up in You. Thanks for loving me... You can talk that way and be excited and grow and increase in the midst of an expression of human weakness.

153:20 - Not - Rather than, "Oh my God, I can't believe I just did that. And I say I'm sincere and true. Why do I have sin in my life?..." We’re not all (boohoo-ing) "pleeeeaaase forgive me… forgive me, forgive me." Don't do that. When are you even sure that you are forgiven? That just makes you more sin-conscience - more aware that you are so far from God. As soon as there is godly sorrow - (confession) - that's enough, it’s removed. Now you can weep when you realize that this is so not God but please don't "Forgive me God. Forgive me God." Where is that in the word?

154:40 - If you stumble - God, I so thank You that that is not who I am. That is not my desire. My heart is broken right now because I realize the truth of Your word. That is not who I am created to be. And God I thank You for washing me and cleansing me and making me wiser and sharper. God, thank You...

155:30 - Hide the word in your heart - Hiding the word in your heart. Can I have a copy of your notes? I'm not reading the word to get a store-bank of knowledge. I'm reading the word to know Him. And believing in knowing Him, He will bring things to my remembrance in every time of need. It's a sword! I know where to go because it's in my spirit. Fill your hearts with truth. His word is truth. We've been taught by a lie. Why not fill your heart with truth so that the lie gets exposed - the light exposes the darkness. Then the ways we are thinking that are not God are so exposed by who God is. It's just important.

Repentance

157:05 - 2 Corinthians 7 - What true repentance is and what it is not - Paul wrote the Corinthians a letter and it caused the Corinthians to repent. Repent means to change the way you think, to change your mind. Repentance isn't just emotional altar calls. "Forgive me, forgive me..."

157:35 - Altar calls are not necessarily repentance - There are churches that have altar calls every week to make people aware of their weakness and imperfection. And it's just a sin-conscious cry session, hoping and trusting that God has mercy on them. And then they go back to their seats. And we think God was moving because the altar was packed. What are we accomplishing? We make men sin-conscious. And you are back the next week. And you are reduced to "Thank God there is a place to pray and You will never reject me." But was your life ever changed? I don't want to promote the gospel in a way that we just cry over our sin and failure. It's not about that.

158:40 - 2 Corinthians 7:2+ - Let’s just read…

200:00 - He had written them a letter which brought them to repentance. What Paul was hearing was causing him conflict and fear. But when Titus gave his report - I was so comforted in knowing that you guys were doing well. It comforted Paul to hear about them. He had previously written a letter to them calling for repentance. He really loves them.

200:30 - v.8 - For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season. - I hope that wasn’t too harsh. Made you sorry though only for a little while... That doesn't mean that they were sorry but then didn't care anymore. It just triggered their heart in godly sorrow.

201:00 - v.9 - Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing. - That trigger of sorrow led you to change your mind about the matter. You were made sorry in a godly manner (godly sorrow). Not in a flesh manner, boohoo-ing - "Oh God, forgive me. Oh please forgive me." Where is there any hope in that? Where is there change and redemption and remission of sin int that? Listen, this is huge...

201:45 - v.10 - For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. -

Godly sorrow - When you are in godly sorrow and you are seeing this thing through truth and you are in right motive and not just introspective, self-concerned, self-consumed, "Oh me, Oh my." This is the definition of godly sorrow - godly sorrow produces repentance - a change of mind that leads to salvation - saved, healed, delivered, preservation etc.

202:30 - Regret - Is not God's heart for His people - Not to be regretted... So Godly sorrow has nothing to do with regret, "Why did I have to go there? Why did I have to do that? - You dummy, why did you do that? You knew better. You shouldn’t have done that. - dumb me, stupid me. - You made your bed, you’re sleeping in it." That’s regret. Where is there help in that? That is so not God’s heart for people. He is so much bigger than that.

203:30 - Regret - Sorrow of the world - You are in the world but not of the world - John 17:15-16. We don’t think the same way any more. You can't add psychology to this. You can't rationalize this. You can't say, "Yeah, but brother..." No. The sorrow of the world produces death. Why? Because it is consumed by regret. Regret ends up judging you, condemning you, shaming you, keeping you guilty and keeping you eating the fruit of your failure. It's death

204:20 - v.11 - For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter. - Sorrow in a godly manner - a manner that changed your heart and mind in that area. You are not that person any more. Produces a diligence in that area. All of the sudden you have a diligence to not be casual in that area. I'm going to watch and stand guard. I've become wiser and sharper now - that's what I mean by wiser and sharper now. I am going to be sober, alert and awake in Christ.

2:05:15 - Indignation - towards the lie.

Counselling Another to Repentance

205:20 - When you confront sin, what do you do if they don’t respond? -

Keep encouraging in truth - Continue to encourage them in the truth. Make sure that you speak the truth in love - not just because you located something wrong in a person. You’re not just trying to set somebody straight. You are not just trying to correct somebody. Share for their sake that they might gain. It's called love. Be sincere and with out hypocrisy and continue to love.

207:00 - It's rare that the Lord would tell me not to address those situation once I see them. Without a seed planted nothing grows. Even though someone might not seem to respond well at first, thank God for the privilege of sowing that seed - for His continued unfailing love for them - that He continue to illuminate. It's a place of prayer and intercession. And I look for the opportunity to continue to touch, encourage and cheer on.

207:30 - Use discernment - Sometimes it can seem like you are a pest. You just need discernment on that. Some you snatch out of the fire, others you show mercy - Jude 1:23. You're supposed to know the difference. That's a growing process. And we all make mistakes sometimes. But if love is our motive, you will be amazed how grace covers even your mistakes. Why? Because you sowed a genuine seed.

207:55 - Don't judge yourself on their reaction - Look at your own motive - If there had been no response Paul would have continued to cry out in prayer and speak life over them and declare truth over them and thank God for the seed sown. So please don't weigh your life (your effort) by the reaction of others. Weigh your life by the motive of your heart. A lot of times we think that if someone doesn't react well that we did something wrong.

208:35 - Don't be surprised if some people avoid you - Because of where there heart is - I've had people not like me at all for a season. They didn't want to hear what I was saying. They didn't want me talking to them. If you are sincere and want to follow God then you will hang around and want to talk to me. But if you are not - if you have contrary things in your heart, I'm the last person you want to be with. You run from a guy like me.

210:00 - [Extended discussion - tracking down people that haven't called in a while] I don't mind you being a little uncomfortable if I love you.

210:35 - But it's amazing how people will all of the sudden avoid you because of where their soul or heart is. But if their heart is in good shape, you are their best friend. They want to call you and talk to you. You either love me or avoid me.

211:00 - I'm not here for you to love me - I'm here to love you - I seem to be doing pretty good with it. Why? Because I am not here for you to love me. I want to be your friend. It's cool if you love me. It's not the motive of my life. It's not why I woke up this morning. I woke up to be perfected in love and be able to love you effectively. That's why I am on the earth.

211:20 - If I get some other motive I'm going to get disappointed and let down in my expectations. I'll just be another hurting person sitting in church, singing spiritual songs.

Repentance (cont.)

212:00 - v.11 continued - For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter. - This is what godly sorrow / repentance brings you. Changing your mind is enough. Grace will carry you through. It so trumps the fact of what you did wrong <gasp>. It's designed that you love Him all the more because you have received this great blessing called redemption and righteousness and forgiveness and mercy. And all of the sudden the person of God is so magnified in your heart. That's why the devil loves to press people down in sin-consciousness, guilt and condemnation because then you can never see the glory of the goodness and the nature of God, and draw near to Him that way. Sin-consciousness is such a trap.

Righteousness

213:10 - Romans 4 - Righteousness through faith

214:20 - v.3 - For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. -

214:25 - v.4 - Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. - to one who works - It's counted as his debt. He owes God something instead of love and relationship. Now he is just trying to pay God back, pay off a debt - "Oh you shouldn’t have Lord. Now I’m obligated to live right." How long is that going to last?

214:55 - v.5 - But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. - to one who does not work - We are back to this faith thing. Believes on Him who justifies - Justifiy means just as if you've never sinned. On Him who makes you just as if you’ve never sinned. That one's faith is accounted for righteousness. That's what puts on righteousness.

215:25 - Is it faith that that makes us righteous? (continued) It’s the finished work of Jesus and the blood of Jesus that opens the door to righteousness, but it’s YOU BELIEVING and receiving that grace that makes you righteous. So him who doesn't work... - He's not trying to produce his righteousness and earn it. ...but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

215:50 - Romans 5 - Receive Righteousness

v.17 - For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) - much more - So a trespass came through one man, Adam and death swallowed up the earth and reigned through that one man. Much more - this thing is so about life. It's so way beyond death and sin. Gift of righteousness - you have to RECEIVE it - you have to say yes, I qualify. I'm worthy. I’m in your plan. I'm right in line. Not - "Who me, Why would you? I’m not worthy, I can’t believe you you love me." No, you receive it.

216:55 - v.18 - Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. - the right to life.

217:30 - v.19 - For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. -

Jesus died to remove sin - He died because we were lost sons - You can’t be both. We're going to prove that you can't be both. We were sinners - now we're made righteous. So cancel "sinners." Enter sonship. So did He die because we are sinners? Or did He die because we are lost sons? He died to get sin off of us to get to our sonship. He didn’t die because we’re sinners. He died because we are lost sons. He had to die to remove sin. Once He removed sin, He has retained sonship.

218:25 - That's something that no one ever taught me. Holy Spirit showed me that. I had never heard that preached from the pulpit. I only heard that He died because I was a sinner. When you only preach that Jesus died because we’re sinners, you exalt the identity of sin and our ability to sin. No, He died to restore me as a son. He didn't die to expose (point out) my sin. He died to remove my sin. He took away my sin. He didn't go, "Tada, you're a sinner." He died to say, "You were never created for sin but for my glory, my image. Now rise up and be a son, believe and receive and be righteous."

219:05 - Don't get weary in this. This is the foundation of your life in Christ. If this isn't at the foundation, you'll be amazed how your heart will stray and the devil will take cheap shots and hit you with them.

219:25 - many will be made righteous - not everyone - those who believe and receive. His blood was shed for the whole world. But not everybody is going to believe and receive.

219:55 - v.20 - Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: - Law made me conscious of the fact that I needed a Savior and being forgiven of sin. And when I grew up to the point where I knew that I had issues and lots of them... grace was even greater.

220:35 - v.21 - That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. -

220:45 - Romans 6 - We're dead to sin

v.1 - What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? - Shall we just keep on sinning so God’s grace is all over us?

221:00 - v.2 - God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? - Why does he say no? Is it just because we are supposed to bite our lip and be holy? And just "Don't you do that!" No. Why then? We died to sin. Do you see that THIS IS NOT JUST A FORGIVENESS OF SIN, IT IS A TRANSFORMATION OF IDENTITY. It’s from sinners to righteous children of God. We’re not trying not to sin. We are enjoying being made sons. So we are not going to continue in the mindset of sins. We died to the fact that we are sinners and we're alive to the fact that we are sons - redeemed and resurrected through the blood of Jesus. It's not a do sin, don’t sin issue. It’s a transformation of identity. It's a sonship issue. I am raised from the dead. Sin produced unto death - righteousness unto life.

222:10 - v.3 - Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? - Do you not know? Some people don't know. Did you just pray a prayer in hopes of heaven? Were you just told that if you come to Jesus, He will bless you?

222:40 - v.4 - Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. - We were buried with Him - we walk in newness of life

222:55 - v.5,6 - For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. -

You are the Steward of Your Heart

223:35 - You are the steward of your heart for these truths - It's one thing to hear this truth preached. It's another thing for you to take this and get alone and find the desire, the time and the heart to get alone and let Holy Spirit make it yours - real in your life. God enlighten me. Make this real to me. I want to live in the joy of what it means to be right with you. Some people, when you preach this, are like what's the big deal? Why is everybody excited? You don't want this to be doctrine - Bible knowledge. Don't be reduced and held captive to that. You get alone and you start seeking God yourself on this stuff. And you start getting real with your own heart, your own desires, your own life. And you watch your heart come alive.

224:45 - Your life shows what you really hunger for - Whether you do that or not shows what you really want and how hungry you are. What do we hunger after. You are judged for your works. You are not saved by your works. Your life lived is what expresses your heartbeat. What you really want is revealed by what you give yourself to and what you pursue.

225:10 - Quicken me Lord - Make it real to me - So if there is an area in my life that I don't feel particularly alive in but it looks like a big deal scripturally, I will ask God to quicken my heart... Illuminate me. Cause me to see and understand the truth of this. Because this is way bigger than I am seeing. God thanks for illuminating my eyes.

225:30 - Pray for wisdom and revelation - Paul prayed this way for the Ephesians - that God would give them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him and open them up and open the eyes of their understanding - Eph. 1:17. After he heard that they were saved he prayed that they would see what they are saved for. And you can pray the same way.

225:50 - Seek Him and you will find Him - But when you seek Him, you find Him - Jer. 29:13. When you draw near, He draws near - Jas. 4:8. Because He wants relationship, not robotic service.

Free from Sin

226:00 - v.6 - Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. - old man was crucified with Him - Why? - that the body of sin might be done away with - rendered inoperative - out of order. This is all motive. This all intent from the Lord. That we should no longer be slaves to sin. Now here is the big key...

227:00 - v.7 - For he that is dead is freed from sin. - Big key → For he who has died is freed from sin. See you deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow Him. There is a selfless pursuit in the gospel and we are going to talk about it - talking about love and becoming love - that you will see is imperative to this whole sin issue - sin-conscious issue. Don’t pray a prayer to go to heaven, deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Him. For he who has died is freed from sin. Selfishness is the root of all sin. That’s why you deny yourself. You were never created for yourself. You were created for the image of God - the nature of God - the love of God. The cross is fulfilled when a man is transformed back to the image of God - love - the glory of the finished work of Christ. That’s the purpose of the cross - a new creation - a new man - born again. Not a prayer to go to heaven. It's the transforation of life.

228:40 - It's all through the word. We've made it something else (prayer to go to heaven with no transformation). And we've kept sin-consciousness very much alive in the process.

228:55 - v.8,9 - Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. - Christ dies no more - that’s us too - We're never going to die. Look, he is revealing what it means to be baptized into Christ and buried with Him in baptism. He's defining what He died to...

229:30 - v.10 - For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. - This issue should be settled. He who knew no sin was made to be sin that you might become the righteousness of God - 2 Cor. 5:21. And even if you sin know that you have advocate - Jesus the righteous - whose merciful plea keeps you free - 1 John 2:1. So when is it ever about your failure? Never.

230:30 - So His death was all about being made sin. When He is raised from the dead it is all about - unto God - Name above every name, King of kings, Lord of lords - conquered death, hell and the grave - got back the keys.

230:50 - Baptized into His death - Rising to new life - So when we get buried in baptism with Him, we die to self. We die to sin once for all. We die in the likeness of His death. We die to sin, it’s nature, it’s identity, it’s sting, it’s memory, it’s desire. And we say we were never created for sin. We were never created for ourselves. We were created for His image. And we come up out of the water a new creation, living unto God.

231:10 - v.11 - Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. - Likewise you also - Do you see the covenant, the union, the communion, that you and Him are one? He's not talking about Him without talking about you too. What do you do?... Reckon - consider - count on - rely on - to be dead indeed to sin.

232:10 - Why do we fight over this topic in the church? "Yeah, but brother, you're always going to sin. What are you saying? That you are perfect?" Why do we promote sin-consciousness and fight against this word - to remain in sin identity? Because the devil is a deceiver.

232:30 - Why did the Apostle Paul say, "I die daily"? (1 Cor 15:31) - That's just selflessness. I face death every day because of the surrender of my life. I’ve been stoned, beat… Dying daily has nothing to do with sin-consciousness. What if you interpret it this way? I'm alive unto you God. I am dead to myself. I thank you that selfishness has lost its voice forever in my life. Father I just give my life to you and You're going to have your way through me. You are going to shine through me. And you are going to love the world through me because I am alive in You. God it's a new day, new mercy, new grace and I am glad to be alive. Thank you for life in Christ. "I die daily" has nothing to do with sin. It has to do with the privilege of running the race.

234:00 - Sinner saved by grace? - The Bible tells you to reckon yourself dead to sin. Why are we talking about sinner saved by grace? You were a sinner saved by grace so that you could obtain sonship and live by the Spirit. Why are we fighting a battle that is already won?

234:35 - v.12 - Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. - There will be temptations - whispers from the devil. [Additional comments on "I die every day"] In my heart, I DIED and now I live. If you want to affirm that death each day so that (to reaffirm life) life is sustained - that's cool - building up a stronghold of God.

235:40 - If this is the truth, don’t let sin just avage your life. If you really know this, sin is not going to just wreak havoc and drive your life. If you let sin continue to reign, you’ll mess up your own conscience and soul and the people around you. Everything you say that you are believing is in question.

236:45 - People looking for excuses for the flesh. Following their hurts. Leads to guilt and shame.

238:20 - Closing prayer - Participant led
