HCSKL 2011 Notes‎ > ‎

Day 37 (2011)

{The video recording begins about 15 minutes into this session.}

45 - Boat ramp - deaf man man objects to praying - turns in his Bible to Moses at the burning bush - God made me this way.

OT Objections to God's Will to Heal All

45 - OT objections to God’s will to heal all - We challenge the NT through the OT - We are in a new covenant through His blood. People say all the time, “Well what about…?” and they bring up how the Lord struck, killed, etc. and it is Old Testament (OT) all the time.

05 - And we say “What about Job?” (If it is always God’s will to heal all, why did He strike Job? Why did He allow Job to be struck?) We say that because we are confused because we haven’t seen the healings we have prayed for happen. And our minds are scrambling and searching. We challenge the New Testament (NT) through the OT, comparing the two.

35 - With these OT objections you subverting faith - And the promises are to those who believe - You are subverting your ability to believe. And the promises are to the believer. When you have questions like this it reveals that you are not fully persuaded, fully convinced - a believer. It’s the reason why we are not seeing a lot happen.

➡ 5:05 - What we are going to look at now (OT objections to the will of God to heal all), we have already covered this in class. And after this I am not taking any more OT questions. I am going to nail it and settle it and not keep covering the same ground.

45 -  There is blindness in the church with regard to Jesus’ teaching on healing - I am concerned that there is a blindness on the church that we can’t see what Jesus is saying. Why don’t we honor Jesus more than the OT writing? If He is the way, the truth, the life, why are we still saying, “What about Job?” Why aren’t we saying, “What about Jesus?” It is stumbling us as a people and dividing us.

10 - We blame God for sickness and lose our will to stand and fight - And if you put it on divine order - sovereignty - God’s choice - (if you put the blame for sickness on God) you are taking off your sword, laying down your shield, and opening up yourself for “whatever will be will be.” You are settling on, “It’s God.” And you have lost the fight in your faith. And there is no reason for weapons of warfare. And that is what we are missing.

45 - If it is God’s will, why do I have a sword and shield? Why do I have promises or His word?

55 - Settling on God’s will to heal all must come first - How can I heal if I don't know that He wants to - He told me to go into any city and heal THE sick. How can I do that if I’m not sure that He wants to? And if I go out there and don’t see the sick healed and I shift gears because of my experience, it means that I am not established in the faith and rooted and grounded in the first place.

Jesus Addressed the Failure to Heal in Mt. 17

God's Sovereign Choice Wasn't the Issue - Unbelief was the Issue

20 - When Jesus explains the disciples’ failure to heal, He indicates that it has to do with what is going on in the disciples. Mt. 17 - Epileptic boy - When the epileptic boy wasn’t healed, Jesus said it was a faithless, perverse generation, meaning our minds are twisted, our minds are corrupt and we have unbelief. Jesus heals the boy. When the disciples ask, “Why couldn’t we heal the boy?” Jesus said that it was what they were failing to see.

50 - When Jesus explains the disciples’ failure to heal, Jesus didn’t use the explanations we use - sovereignty - Was it the will of God to heal the boy? (Yes, obviously so, because Jesus went on to heal the boy.) Was he healed when the disciples prayed? (No.) Was it the will of God to heal the boy? Was he healed when the disciples prayed? Oops. Jesus didn’t say it was divine order, the sovereignty of God or the wrong timing. He said it was the way you all see and think or don’t see and think.

Jesus Surpasses the Old Testament Revelation

35 - The OT language is not applicable to the new covenant - It's been superseded - I understand all of that OT language is there - how the Lord struck and killed. It’s not that I am trying to say it’s not there. It is there. But it’s another covenant. It’s the law of sin and death. It’s man without God. It’s man living in his own ingenuity and strength without the Spirit of God in him. It’s actually every man dead in his spirit.

00 - The OT was not the final word - It pointed us to Jesus who is the final word - There is a price and pain for sin. The whole world lies in the sway of the wicked one. The ruler of this world - the god of this world… When man fell, he didn’t just sin, he took on the nature of God’s enemy. And we were all born into that fallen state of sin. There is a price to all of that. There is pain to all of that. It’s a mess. The law tutored us to Christ. It’s all pointing to Christ. It’s revealing through all of this stuff our desperate need for a Savior. And He has come.

Reliance on OT Revelation Leaves Us Short of the NT Reality

➡ 9:50 - We shirk the privilege of healing by hiding behind OT passages - We put the blame and responsibility back on God -  I’m going to show you a couple of scriptures and I don’t want you to be confused with those OT questions anymore. Because here is what happens. One of the biggest tragedies in the body of Christ is when we find indifference through the OT (when we become indifferent about pursuing healing because of passages we pick out from the OT) - and build our belief on the OT apart from Christ - and find a reason not to have the responsibility and privilege of carrying the kingdom. And just putting it all back on God, when God put it on us. And it is a privilege.

45 - You set yourself up for loss and the callousness, confusion and powerlessness that comes with it - When you hold to the belief that it is just divine order - the sovereign choice of God, you set yourself up for loss. And in the long run, after enough loss, you are confused and can’t even love God because there is so much loss. There are a lot of people who can’t worship, fully convinced of His goodness, because they are looking through glasses of much loss.

30 - Not getting established allows the loss to escalate and continue. If you believe something that is not of Christ, you put a ceiling on the power of God. How are we ever going to grow if we settle on a belief that is less than Him?

35 - We use to OT to hide from the pain of knowing that we were supposed to have done something - People who are proponents of finding an out through the OT are covering over great loss. They are trying to explain great loss and find a place to hold their heart and keep it alive. Unfortunately the way we are doing it isn’t the answer because it steals away the hope of increase and God’s power. And that actually puts it back in the hands of God, when He called us to subdue the works of His hands.

35 - We are somebody to God. That is not exalting man. That is exalting God’s impression of us.

➡ 14:10 - I want to chop this OT lie up. I don’t want you struggling with OT questions after today.

15 - We have a blindness to what the Bible teaches about healing. We are so busy thinking and talking that we are not hearing with our hearts. We are not being humble with our hearts. We are being opinionated. And it’s because we have feelings and we try to live by them instead living out of our hearts. Our minds take precedent. Knowledge puffs up. Quest for knowledge was a twist in the garden.

God Spoke Definitively Through Jesus

55 - If God has spoken directly, clearly and definitively through Jesus why are we giving overriding weight to OT teachings on God’s will to heal? - Hebrews 1:1-2 - God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; - So God is speaking through Jesus. So it’s not about Job. It’s about Jesus.

40 - Jesus is the revelation, nothing else - He has spoken. It’s like 1 John 4:9 - In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. In this - singular - love was revealed… As in nothing else. In this love was manifest, that God gave His only begotten Son.

00 - Live through Him - follow Him - That we might live through Him. To live through Him is to follow Him - to pursue Christ-likeness and being the body of Christ - the embodiment of His power and anointing. Our questions on whether or not it is God’s will to heal from OT scriptures subverts our very ability to carry the authority that He gave us.

45 - Be persistent to carry the kingdom - Let your heart be established in God's will to heal. Be a persistent person that won’t back off. Parable of the persistent widow and the judge. How much more will God answer His children who cry out to Him day and night. However when the Son of Man returns to the earth, will He really find faith? If He came back right now, He wouldn’t at large. He’d find a lot of questions, confusion and unbelief. People who have come to believe and know who He is and who we are because of Him and living through Him. He wants to sober us, shake us in that realm.

35 - Commissions to heal - Matt 10; Luke 10; Matt 28; Mark 16. In three of those four, immediately after the commissioning He said to heal the sick. We are still questioning the will of God to heal when God has spoken through His Son.

20 - When you are not ready to fight (because of OT passages keep you from being established) you are setting yourself up for more loss - Fighting the NT to defend your losses does not heal your heart. If you believe that God orchestrates sickness then you are just set up for loss. You are saying to the devil, put it on me because I will never fight it. You are setting yourself up for more loss.

50 - Not everything that happens is orchestrated by God - Biblical examples - The Bible says you can prolong your days - in several places. If you can prolong your days you can cut them short, if you do the opposite. The Bible says that because we don’t discern the body (we don’t understand the significance of Jesus’ body being broken) that many are weak, sick and died early. It doesn’t say God ordered that. So is it the sovereignty of God that causes that? It marvels me that we still have the questions.

00 - Hot dog / corn dog analogy - Accept no inputs other than pure truth - Participant’s truth / hot dog analogy - If truth is a hot dog. Darkness wants to keep us away from the pure experience of a hot dog. So what does darkness do? It tries to add to it. It tries to present to us a corn dog. Just enough to where we have a hot dog but to where we have so much stuff added onto it that we miss the pure experience of eating a hot dog. Find the secret place and talk to God to where there is no input except pure truth.

40 - The enemy targets the belief system because every promise is to the believer - If every promise is to the believer and you were the enemy, what would you try to scramble? The belief system of every person. These signs shall follow those that believe... He who believes in me will also do the things that I do… Jesus said these things and we are bringing up OT analogies to trump what Jesus said when He is the way, the truth, the life. And in these last days God has spoken through His Son… Jesus never said no to healing - turned someone down - or say that it was the sovereign will of God that you are in this condition.

00 - Suffering for Christ - That scripture is not talking about sickness but persecution - 2 Cor 1:5 - For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ. - He never calls sickness the sufferings of Christ. “Well, I’m suffering for Jesus, brother.” We suffer persecution for Jesus not sickness. The sufferings of Christ is persecution - being judged unjustly. Jesus was never sick. The sufferings of Christ had nothing to do with sickness. Jesus suffered injustice every day - gossip, backbiting, misidentifying, the pride of man defining Him.

00 - Letting your heart get critical. Be careful. Most of these people have great loss.

25 - Heb 1:1 (continued) - He has spoken… God is setting the record straight through Jesus. Men didn’t receive Him or know Him. It shows how twisted we were.

00 - Counterfeits to truth - additives. In the sexual arena - the most exploited - because there is such an amazing, holy potential there. You don’t counterfeit one dollar bills.

40 - Intensity of opposition to healing. Must not be reading Bible with open heart. Jesus is the one talking about healing constantly. Commissions - with Him that He might send them out to heal.

30 - Healing was shelved somewhere back in the past - Multiply what I have given you - healing, delivering, cleansing, raising. Teach them what they see in you. But something along the way got muddy. An epileptic boy scenario popped up somewhere. And Jesus wasn’t standing there to address it so man addressed it with his mind.

45 - Our continuing questions reveal that we don’t have our eyes on Him. We have our eyes on our feelings and experiences. And we are honoring our mindsets way above His word.

00 - Jesus is the absolute revelation of the Father, not the OT - Heb 1:3 - Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; - So who is Jesus? The absolute revealing and picture of the Father.

The Image of the Invisible God

45 - Jesus is the light, not the OT - Colossians 1:13 - Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: - When man fell, he entered into extreme, utter darkness. In the beginning there was chaotic darkness. But God brings order from the darkness. God caused light to shine. It’s the same thing He did when He brought Jesus to the earth. He caused light to shine in darkness. And that light is in us. And life and light go hand in hand. It’s not the light of the OT. It’s the light of Jesus - the life of Jesus.

00 - God is not orchestrating darkness - In Him is no darkness - He has delivered us from the power of darkness. So is God subcontracting darkness? No, you are delivered from it. Is He using darkness? God is a God of light and in Him there is no darkness at all.

50 - Col 1:14 - In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:  - Why do we have redemption? Because sins are forgiven. So sin and its power are totally destroyed and we are snatched out of darkness and conveyed into the light.

20 - Jesus is the definitive revelation of God - Col 1:15 - Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: - He is the image of the invisible God. Hebrews 1 says he is the expressed image of the Father.

00 - We are set free from the old law to be under the law of the Spirit of Life - So Jesus is on the earth. I understand that the story of Job is in the Bible. I understand that what Moses said at the burning bush. I understand that the OT says God struck this person and that person. There are a lot of instances. I also understand that there is a law of sin and death. There was handwriting and ordinances against us. But Jesus took it away, nailing it to the tree, making a public spectacle of the powers and principalities that operated through it. So I wonder what was working through it to hammer human beings? The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus HAS SET ME FREE from the law of sin and death - Rom 8:2. What don’t we understand about that. There is a new law. It’s called the Spirit of life through Christ and it has made me free from the law of sin and death - that even means the wrath, the punishment, the consequences. You are not going to sell me - “You make your bed, you sleep in it.” There is repentance on the the earth so you can be cleansed and be completely clear in the matter. That doesn’t teach easy grace. That teaches integrity and sincerity of heart and getting sober minded and living diligent - giving no place to the devil.

Our Father

40 - Jesus is the definitive revelation of the Father - John 14:7 - If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. - God has always been our Father. We just didn’t know it.

10 - God is your Father - Recap of salvation - Adam committed high treason. Adam died on the inside. You were predestined before the foundation of the world - God intended for you to be adopted as sons and daughters. Why do we have to be adopted? Because we were born into another and now we are born again. What we were born into was not our parents. Your heritage is from the Lord. Your inheritance is from the Lord. Pray “Our Father…” Jesus was telling us that we don’t even know who you are or where you are from. We were all born into Adam - alienated from God, wicked. Jesus comes because of the truth of who we were created to be, to restore our destiny, our legacy, identity, inheritance. He snatches us out of darkness and back into the light where He saw us from the beginning. Jesus was saying that God is for us (not against us) - that we were brought forth and birthed by God in the beginning.

25 - Call no man on earth your father - God is your Father - Matt 23:9 - And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. - Call no man on earth your father. He’s talking to people under the law of sin and death. He didn’t shed His blood yet. But He is here. He is talking to people who are lost, degenerate and tells them to call no man on earth your father. These people were cynical. They were getting ready to crucify Him. He is sowing seeds. He’s prophetic. He’s manifesting love. He’s saying, the reason you are about to do what you are going to do is because you don’t know your roots, your inheritance and who you are. But if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me. I will show you who you are.

00 - He said to those sinners, you have one Father and He is in heaven. That means I came from Him and I belong in Him and heaven is my root created value and inheritance. Why do we not understand that, when it is all through our Bible? Because of that corn dog thing. We hear other stuff.

* * *

00 - Don't try to teach through your pain - You shouldn’t try to teach the gospel if you have pain issues because you will teach through your pain. And you are the steward of your heart and you will answer for that one day. Don’t let many of you be teachers. There is a stricter judgement in that day.

00 - Not everything that happens is the will of God - If everything is the sovereign choice of God, why did He put the power of life and death in our tongue? If it doesn’t matter what you say, but what God ordains, why did He put the power of life and death in your tongue. If men are destroyed for the lack of knowledge then how can it be the sovereign choice of God? In all your getting get understanding. Get the knowledge, stop destruction. If men reap what they sow, how is that possible if everything is  divine order and the sovereignty of God. If everything is the sovereignty of God, you don’t reap what you sow. You reap what God intends.

00 - Jesus comes to set the record straight. And Jesus doesn’t say any of the stuff we say about God. You just see Him healing the sick and doing good - healing all who were oppressed by the devil - certainly not oppressed by God.

God is Seen Clearly Through the Son

30 - See God clearly through the Son, not the experiences of our lives - John 14:7 (continued) - If you had known me… Do we really know Him? You would have known my Father. From now on you know Him. From now on we ought to know Him. He is expecting us to know the Father because Jesus is the visible image of the invisible God, the expressed image of God. We are still trying to see the Father (determine who He is) through life and circumstances. We say, “Because this didn’t happen, God is obviously this…” It’s total deception. It subverts faith and your ability to believe. And you are back to square one as if Jesus never came. You are letting life define God instead of the life of the Son of God.

00 - John 14 - v.8 - Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. - Jesus just said from now on you have seen Him. And Philip raises his hand like a student and says show us the Father. He just doesn’t get it yet.

20 - Jesus is the clear revelation of the Father - not the OT - not the experiences of your lives - v.9 - Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? - So long - Some of us have walked with Jesus for a lot of years. Have I been with you so long and you are still trying to find me through life? Still defining me through what did and didn’t happen?

00 - v.10 - Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. - Do you not believe? When you have seen me, you HAVE seen the Father. Are you still trying to find the Father through circumstances, through the OT? Do you not believe? That’s the question to the church.

Jesus Demonstrated God's Willingness to Heal

30 - The Father’s instruction to heal is heard through Jesus' words - This is not all the bright idea of Jesus when He said, go preach and heal the sick. Who was saying that? The Father. Jesus had 70 more and said the same thing. Who was saying that? The Father. He is not speaking on His own authority. Jesus said I always do the things that please Him.

20 - The Father wills to heal - When the leper said, I know that you can heal me if you are willing. And Jesus replied, I am willing. Who said that? The Father. And we say, "Yeah but if He doesn’t heal, it means He is not willing." Show me that in Matt 17 with the epileptic boy wasn’t healed. That’s not what it teaches. Jesus shows that it was the will of God.

00 - Every promise is yes and amen - Jesus takes away the middle ground - We live in “maybe He will, maybe He won’t. Let’s pray and see.” The promise is to the believer. In 2 Cor 1 Paul teaches that men are indecisive because they live in the flesh. Matt 5 - Let your yes be yes and no be no. Anything else is from the devil. Jesus takes away all middle ground - believe and not question. And yet we question all the time.

25 - I honor the life of Jesus - above opinions - I love you, I don’t honor your opinions. I understand some people are in pain and I can try to minister to that pain. But I am not called to honor your opinion. Don’t be wise in your own opinion. Be wise in the Son of God.

00 - Self-reinforcing belief - everything that happens is God's will - Here is the paradox - When you believe that everything that happens is God’s will, the more loss and the more unanswered prayers you experience, the more it affirms that belief. You go, “See...See…told you so… see. But the whole church was praying… see.” But where is the whole church praying from? From not knowing who we are - once again driven by need. There is no authority in that - if there is no faith - if there is no understanding.

50 - v.10 - Everything you see in my life is the Father working.

00 - Reading verses in context.

30 - The reason for repetitive preaching. Because what is being talked about is so important.

30 - v.11 - Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. - Believe me because of the life that I am living - the works themselves.

40 - The first man I saw healed - 3 mo. saved - man was going to have a fusion - friend at work - bone on bone in vertebrae - Jerry - Dan prays - Is that it? That’s all I got - Thanks for the gesture - walks away the same way - It’s not works - It’s His grace and mercy.

Step Out & Love Somebody

30 - Get in the game - It's not about healing but getting your hands on the sick - If I don’t swing the bat, there can’t be a hit. We think it is about healing. No, it’s about getting your hands on the sick. The first sign of a believer isn’t healing the sick but putting your hands on the sick. The fact that we don’t put hands on the sick means that we are still trying to figure this thing out. Just go, get your hand on somebody. That’s a believer.

20 - Jerry (continued) - 3 hours later - back healed - new x-rays, totally whole - comes back to work on regular duty.

10 - Hold onto faith - Even when things don't change immediately - When healing doesn’t happen immediately. We say, “I wonder why God didn’t heal?” We show our lack of faith, lack of understanding. We are living by our experience, living by senses, living by reason.

40 - Pursuing people for healing after an initial rejection - every situation is different an requires discernment -

How hard do you pursue people to pray for them? I’m going to cover that this week. But yes, there are time you pursue even after someone says no. It’s not a textbook thing. Everybody you pray for is an individual - there is discernment - there is sincere love. You are not a plastic Christian. You are not a Christian robot. You’re a lover. So you learn, in love to discern situations and people. You’d be amazed how far I press things sometimes. And other times I turn away immediately and say, “Look, bless you. Have an awesome day.” It is just discernment. There is not a right and wrong.

30 - You can’t fail when you sincerely love - It’s not about failing ever. A lot of time the reason we don’t do the stepping out thing is because we are afraid to fail. It’s not about failing, it’s about loving (and love never fails). I’m not afraid to fail, I’m afraid not to believe. Because every sign follows the believer. If I’m busy worrying about failing, I am not going to believe anything. And if I am worried about failing, who am I conscious of? Yourself. Oops.

00 - Jerry (continued) - Jerry is healed - he tells everybody at the warehouse, 346 employees and all of them had an excuse why it couldn’t have been God - now Jerry is an elder in a church - Your life tore me up - I was afraid of persecution - people were getting saved even after I left.

00 - Don't try to judge results prematurely - Understand that you are sowing and watering - If you look with your eyes and think with your mind you are going to be deceived. But if you live out of your heart, you are a very encouraged person because you are sowing seed. Watering seed. And God is causing increase because that’s how the kingdom works. Some people are reaping where they haven’t even sown. And we are all rejoicing because God’s Son is on the planet and He is moving. Or we are looking at Jerry saying, “Well that didn’t work.”

25 - Hold onto faith - The sign follows the believer - The Bible says if I lay hands on the sick they will recover. When do I ever let go of faith? If the sign follows the believer, what happens when I let go of faith?

42 - Jerry (continued) - The reason I told you the Jerry story... The first Christian that heard that story came up to me and said, “Man you have only been saved three months, you need to be careful. You know that the devil can heal.” But his disk was recreated. I prayed in the name of Jesus. And I said to him, “If the devil is moving anywhere but out of here when I am praying in the name of Jesus, we ought to just pack our bags, give up and go home.” If the devil is healing in the name of Jesus, what is that?

00 - Impact at work - prayer before work - communion - God’s will to heal - end of meetings - we’ll pray for you to come to the knowledge of truth.

Jesus' Unlimited Ministry & Promises

20 - John 14 (continued) - v.12 - Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. -

Jesus passes the baton to believers - to manifest the Father (including healing) - He is flipping it right to them. All authority has been given to me… Go therefore. He is saying you are in me and I am in you. We’re one. You are the body of Christ. He who believes - whoever. He who believes in Me - when you’ve seen me you’ve seen the Father - He who sees the Father through Me and has faith because they have seen the Father through Me and knows the Father through Me, that’s who believes.

40 - We are still talking about the OT when the new and living way is here.

20 - He who believes - I understand that we are sorry for our sin and want to go to heaven one day. He is talking way deeper than that.

45 - Gospel of the kingdom v. prayer to go to heaven - We made the gospel all about going to heaven instead of carrying the kingdom. It’s not the gospel of “salvation” - going to heaven - but the gospel of the kingdom that is supposed to be preached to every nation. When we hear the word “salvation”, we are just trying to get everyone to pray a prayer to go to heaven. And we are not imparting the kingdom, teaching the kingdom.

20 - Do you give the experience the right to determine God or do you give God the right to determine the experience.

00 - Hurting each other on faith - “Well, you just don’t have faith.” We’ve hardened each others hearts so that you can’t even talk about faith and healing without getting defensive about it.

00 - Because I go to the Father - He is sitting on the mercy seat in His flesh and bone body representing man to God and God to man as a high priest forever - unchangeable - able to save to the uttermost those who come to Him by faith.

35 - Unlimited promise - whoever believes / whatever you ask  - v.13 - And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. - Whoever (believes) / whatever you ask in my name - Not just using the name as abracadabra. Believing in His name - v.12. Whatever you ask believing in His name.

40 - In my name - That’s why you don’t have to pray stuff so much as see who He is.

00 - Lady with stage 4 cancer - just said, Jesus.

55 - Blind eyes opened - and then others not opened - mind goes bananas - that is not God.

00 - That the Father may be glorified - What is He talking about? Healing, delivering, setting free.

10 - Can sickness glorify God? - Now we say our sickness is glorifying God. How are you glorifying God in your sickness? They say because I am maintaining good character and joy and disposition. But when was that ever an option. You are already supposed to be dead to yourself and alive to Him. Is that expressed (only) through sickness or is that just a given. That is just a mark of being surrendered and loving not your own life unto death. No one has ever explained how they are glorifying God in their sickness.

00 - If sickness is the will of God, why aren’t you trying to stay sick? Nobody has ever explained to me how they can believe that their sickness is the will of God and why we all go to the doctor then to get better. Are we trying to get out of the will of God? If sickness is the will of God, why aren’t you trying to stay sick? If God is making you sick to teach you, why are you trying to get out of the lesson? So back up what you say you believe with your life instead of talking cheap and selling yourself out of authority and faith when it is in your spirit.

35 - BREAK

50 - John 1 - Jesus reveals God - We covered all of this but I am doing it again on purpose.

30 - v.1 and reading

50 - v.9 - That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. - God’s heart is that all be illuminated, all redeemed.

10 - v.10 - He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. - Even though the world didn’t know Him, Jesus knew the world and came into the world. It is not impersonal. God so loved… He gave… to get us home - to get us back. He didn’t come to give the world what the world deserved or earned - to condemn her but that through this One the world might be saved. The world didn’t recognize Him because of the fall of man.

15 - v.11 - He came unto his own, and his own received him not. - They didn’t receive Him but He still told them to pray to God as their Father. And that they had no other father but God.

35 - v.12 - But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: - right to become children of God - We are heirs to God - joint heirs with Christ - our spirits crying out Abba, Father!

00 - v.13 - Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. - You must be born again. Man wasn’t willing this. God ordained that we be found in Him. Ephesians 1 is a great place to camp. Also Romans 5 down to about verse 10.

20 - We didn’t petition God for truth. God sent truth and we went, “Huh?” God initiated it.

40 - v.14 - And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. -

Jesus didn't live by His flesh - We don't have to either - Jesus had a body but He didn’t live by the flesh. He had flesh but didn’t live by it. Which means we can have a flesh body and not have to live by it. We can live by the Spirit. Jesus said follow me. Paul said if we live by the flesh we will die. But if we live by the Spirit, life and peace.

00 - The devil’s biggest trap is to get people to stay flesh-conscious and live by the flesh and fail to receive the grace and righteousness of God. And wreck your identity so you can never move in the authority, peace, freedom of the finished work of Christ.

40 - Your destiny is to look like Jesus - Live as if sin never was - Your destiny from before time was to look like Jesus. Predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son. Those He predestined, He called. Those who He called, He justified. Don’t be afraid of that. You want to live as if sin never was. Reckon yourself dead to sin. I’m a slave to righteousness - bound and chained to serve righteousness. I’m forever right in the sight of God. When we see Him as He is, we will be like Him.

00 - What we will be like when we see Him. No more consciousness of sin. No trace of guilt, condemnation or shame. All will be lit by the face of the Son of God.

20 - God doesn’t change - no turning, shifting. “Well it sure looks like He has changed over the ages if you look at the Old and New Testaments.” The OT is what man has brought on himself through disobedience, sin, failing to understand and all of that stuff. God has never changed from the beginning.

40 - What we see in Jesus is who God was from the beginning - We just saw how Jesus was with God from the beginning. And who is Jesus? The Father revealed. So what we see in the life of Jesus is what God has been from the beginning. And He predestined us and the lamb was slain before time.

10 - v.14 - Glorified - Those whom He justified, He also glorified. How are you glorified? By filling you with the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. By giving you that seal for the day of your redemption. By marking you as a wheat, not a tare, a keeper fish. You measure up through Christ. There is life and light in you now. The kingdom is in you. You are His.

40 - v.15 - John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. -

The circumstances of life try to pull you away from what you already know is true - John in prison - Remember how John was in prison and sent disciples to Jesus to ask if He is the One? When you are sitting in prison you start to ask questions that you already know the answer to. When you are going through trials the biggest temptation is to question things that are already established in your life. Did John know who Jesus was? "This is He..." John has already proclaimed the answer. Adversity and hardship can try to get you to shift your mind and get you (selfish old man) to live again - to think rational - to have opinions - to ask questions that you already settled before. That’s why we need to be rooted and grounded in love - firmly established in the faith and not moved away from the hope of which we heard. Life will try to pull you away. Your mind starts reasoning. Next thing you know you are sending people to ask a question you already know the answer to.

15 - Know Jesus for yourself - Don't rely on the opinions of others - Preferred before me because he was before me - Sounds like John is speaking from a revelation here. Who do men say that I am? Elijah, prophet - people are saying a lot of stuff about Jesus. But who do you say that I am? Forget what men are saying for a second. Are you going to ride men’s opinions or are you going to seek Him to know Him, so that you have a revelation. Your answer to that question is so vital because it will determine the kingdom flow in your life. It will determine your life.

25 - Humans can have revelation from God and yet still think from a self-centered mindset - Peter - Peter said, “You are the Christ - Son of the living God.” Blessed are you Peter - for flesh and blood hasn’t revealed this to you but my Father, who is in heaven.” Three verses later, Peter is trying to sentimentally keep Jesus from the cross. And Jesus says, “Get behind me satan, you’re not thinking like God thinks, you are thinking like man.” See how man thinks for himSELF and yet can have a revelation of something? He can still shift gears and think for himself. Jesus addressed it quickly. He wasn’t being harsh with Peter. He was being harsh with the mindset - the place Peter was thinking from. He is calling it demonic - because it’s self-serving, sensual driven. You are not thinking for the kingdom, you are thinking for yourself. It sounds like a friend protecting a friend but it had self interest in it.

15 - Jesus’ amazing love - He could see the cross coming - He could see redemption coming - Jesus could see the crucifixion coming but He could also see what man would look like - He knew that redemption was coming. If He would just die, we could live. Love is amazing. I sit and meditate on these things.  I am in love with Jesus. He’s not just my Savior, He’s so much more.

00 - v.16,17 - And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. - Keep your OT questions to yourself because grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

No One Else Has Ever Seen God - Jesus Reveals God

50 - v.18 - No one has seen God at any time! - Jesus is the tada of God - No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. No one had seen God at any time. Why? Because Christ had not come. That means seeing God how He is, who He is. “Well, it says Moses spoke face to face, that Abraham ate lunch with Him." No one has seen God at any time. And we are asking OT questions still. And God has come out like He is through His Son - tada - this is Me. When you see Me you’ve already seen the Father - the expressed image of the Father - the out wearing of His brightness.

The Transfiguration - Listen to Jesus - See Only Jesus

10 - Transfiguration - Matthew 17:1 and reading - Peter suggests building shelters. God’s not rude but He cut Peter off while he was still speaking a bright cloud overshadowed them.

00 - v.5 - This is my beloved Son, hear him - While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. Moses and Elijah were pointing to Jesus. But in these last days God HAS SPOKEN through His Son. Moses and Elijah were here to play a role - to point to Jesus. And we are still asking OT questions. Shame on us - what are we doing? Why are we still asking that stuff when there is so much clarity and God has gone out of His way through His Son in the flesh to make this plain.

00 - OT questions - comparing OT writing to NT reality - When I say OT questions, I mean comparing OT writing to NT reality. It’s not wrong to have questions about the OT. But when you are using OT language to build a case against NT truth - the new covenant - that’s a bad mistake.

30 - Listen to Jesus - Everything in the OT points to Jesus - Well pleased. Hear Him. Moses is there. Elijah is there. The reason they were there along the way was to point to Jesus. Everything about the OT, if you are interpreting it right should point to the Son. The whole focal point of the Bible is Jesus. He is not disregarding Moses and Elijah but now Jesus is here. So it is not about three tabernacles. Hear Him. They pointed to Him. He’s here now. Hear Him. In these last days, I have spoken through Him. He is the truth, not a truth.

40 - v.8 - See no one but Jesus - Rely on Jesus and His life lived - And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only. - ... they saw no one but Jesus. We should learn from that one right there. That might be the most powerful thing said all morning. When you lift up your eyes, make sure you see nothing but Jesus. Heb 12:2 - Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. Look to Jesus.

30 - Don't drawing back - He can't fulfill His purpose through us when we draw back - There is no pleasure in His soul, if we draw back, because He can’t fulfill destiny through us. Heb 10:38 & 39 - Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we aren’t those who draw back but move forward believing… in the face of loss, trials, circumstances. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul. We move on believing to the salvation of our soul. When you draw back you keep yourself in derision, you keep yourself from being established. You’ll never come to the knowledge of truth. You’ll never grow up taking one step forward, one step backwards.

30 - If you are sick, pray for the sick - Don't draw back - If you are going through sickness, make sure you are praying for the sick. It’s your statement that you believe that God is a healer. That doesn’t make you a hypocrite. That makes you a believer. A hypocrite is a play actor.

45 - We believe through the things we can’t understand - through the things we can’t explain. We believe because He is Lord. Because He sent the truth to us through Jesus. We believe to the saving of our soul.

55 - Salvation of the soul - our minds will come into alignment and be renewed in the spirit of our mind and we’ll get back to the place where our eye is so single. And when we look up with our eyes, all we’ll see is Jesus. When they lifted up their eyes they saw no one but Jesus. We lift up our eyes, think with our minds and miss Jesus or contest Jesus.

Man's Major Created Role

10 - Because we are talking about Jesus we have to look at Hebrews 2

30 - Looking back at Hebrews 1

00 - Sounds like your gladness will be running high. Why? Because you will have boldness to enter the throne room. You understand your High Priest is there. You have total access to God. Because He wants you in His presence.

00 - Hebrews 2:1 and reading - Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. - lest we drift away - life take advantage of us - our mindsets - human reasoning - rationalization - sometimes the encouragement, human reasoning from a best friend - well intended, like Peter, this shall never happen to you - you shouldn’t have to go through this. When you do this to your married friends you are giving them permission to be broken and not even giving them Jesus.

50 - v.2,3 - For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; -

You are the steward of your own heart - Be careful to follow Him and not wander off - There is no other answer, no other truth. If we go on sinning willfully after the knowledge of truth there is no other answer for us. God is wooing man’s hearts and you have the ability to neglect it. You have the ability to not adhere to your convictions. You have the ability to sear your own conscience like a hot branding iron. You have the ability to hear one thing in the Lord and do another thing in your flesh. He’s telling you your place in this. He’s telling you to SET your mind on things above. If you neglect the ministry of Holy Spirit and the truth of salvation, where will that leave us? When it is the answer.

00 - Failure to believe testimonies of healing - You are actually revealing that you don’t believe God’s word. Of course God is a healer.

45 - Don't look for God through the way people behave - It doesn't change who God is - People who used to go to church - quit because someone treated them wrong. They are relating what they experienced to God. Why are we still trying to find God through men? What does that have anything to do with Jesus? It’s obvious you have nothing with Him right now. “Well, I believe in God.” I run into this when I travel. Truth is amazing and refreshing and it’s what they want to believe all along. It doesn’t take long for people to cry. What people say doesn’t change who He is but what He says changes us.

20 - v.4 - God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? - God bore witness through signs. His will is to work signs and miracles through His people, through this message.

20 - Satan accuses God to men - The devil is the accuser of the brethren. He is also accusing God to the brethren. “Why did God let this happen?....” Your whole life you heard that and thought that and said it just because that’s what everybody said. And the blame for sickness is always about God your whole life. The devil has us tricked into thinking that when something is going wrong it’s God who is doing it. And when things are frustrating it is Jesus who is responsible. It’s become our language on the earth.

20 - v.5 - For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. -

Created for More - All Things Under Our Feet

00 - v.6 - But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? -

How God sees you is the truth about you - And He sees something valuable - What is man that thou art mindful of Him? You ought to have this question answered by now. “I don’t know why God would love me like that.” That’s because you are defining yourself through the life you have lived and not what He has created you for. If God didn’t have a greater perspective and view of your life, how could He die for sinners? He could die for them but they are left sinners. There is a greater view for you than what you have known.

50 - v.7 - Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: - Psalms 8 uses the word Elohim. You have made man a little lower than Elohim. Isn’t that amazing. We were never created to be God but we are definitely adopted in to be sons. Predestined to be adopted in. The firstborn among many. God has never lost sight of me in the midst of the chaos. When darkness covered the earth of my life, Holy Spirit hovered over me and said, “Let there be light.”

00 - The glory of God on the earth is man - crowned him with glory - how man was originally created. When the Israelites were messing up over and over again. God said you realize they are going to have to pay the price of their sin because of the law of sin and death. But Moses, let me tell you something - in the face of their chaotic, stiff-necked behavior - As surely as I live, the whole world will be filled with my glory - Num. 14:21. Guess who His glory is. Whom He justified, He also glorified. Christ in you, the hope of glory. I was taught that was blasphemy. “That was Jesus, we’re just worms.” You stay a worm if you want to, but I won’t be in the can with you - or on the hook.

15 - v.8 - Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. - This can’t be right. God is in sovereign charge - it’s all the administration of God. Man has nothing to do with this. This can’t be in my Bible - someone messed up. Whatever happens is God - it’s administrated from God. It’s divine order. It’s predestined.

00 - He set man over the works of His hands - Man's created value - He’s talking about creation - your root value - our inherited value - what God intended from the beginning for man. And even though man sinned and fell and generations afterward were born into sin and death, this is still God’s created value, God’s intention and Christ redeemed us to that truth - breathed back into us as if sin never was. And adopted us back in as sons.

30 - This hasn’t changed. Or Jesus wouldn’t have said, All authority has been given unto me… You go now. He wouldn’t rise from the dead and say, as the Father sent me, I send you. And breathe on them.

00 - We were created for all things being under our feet - But we are being subdued instead of subduing - That is the same thing as when He told Adam to subdue the earth. And what are we? Subdued by the earth. And when we are, we say it’s God’s order - God’s choice. He said raise up your shield to quench ALL the fiery darts of the enemy. Not except the ones that are divinely ordered. Why would you have a sword if you weren’t supposed to wield it and fight. It is not “whatever will be, will be.” He said subdue the earth. We are being subdued and making up theology to substantiate it at the cost of the kingdom that is inside of us. It needs to stop. Somebody needs to rise up, know their God and do great exploits.

45 - Nothing will be impossible for you. That sounds like all things are in subjection. He gave us all thing in that pertain to life and godliness. - 2 Peter 1:3  All things necessary to be like Him. How shall we not freely receive all things - Romans 8:32

10 - He left nothing that is not subject. No thing.

We Don't Yet See All Things in Subjection - But Keep Looking to Jesus

30 - We do not yet see all things in subjection. In subjection under man. Have you seen every mountain you spoke to move? Does the Bible say that they will move? Has every one of them moved? Are all things in subjection under your feet? Did He call us to subdue the earth? In saying all things is there anything that is not in subjection under us? However we don’t yet see all things in subjection.

20 - v.9 - But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. - but we look up and see no one but Jesus.

25 - Stay in truth even when the mountain doesn't move - Don't draw back - It’s not time to create theology when the mountain doesn’t move. It’s time to fix your eyes on Jesus. It’s time to go forward and not backwards because there is no pleasure in His soul when you draw back. When you draw back you are cast to and fro. When you move forward you begin to be renewed in your mind and come to the knowledge of God and it’s the salvation of your soul.

50 - Man was not created to die - So God opened a way to life - lower than angels - When Jesus came as a man and died on a cross. He tasted death for everyone. Why? Because you were never made to die. The day you eat of the tree is the day you surely die. You were never made to die. So God had to open a way to life because He (and His intent toward you) never changes. And His love never fails.

The Mystery is Revealed - Look to Jesus

30 - Ephesians 3:8 and reading - Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; - Paul said there is a grace on his life to preach to the gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

00 - v.9 - And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ: - To make all see. Seeing is a big deal. When you look up, see only Jesus (Transfiguration account @ 1:54:40). The cat is out of the bag. It was hidden but now it is revealed. Eph 1 and 2 is a revealing of that mystery (v.3).

The Crucial Role of Believers - Manifest

00 - v.10 - To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God, -

Now the wisdom of God is revealed...

35 - No more OT challenges to NT healing. Not going to take another second answering any OT language which challenges NT healing.

50 - The wisdom of God is to be manifested by the church to the principalities and powers. Jesus took the handwriting contrary to us and made a public spectacle of those powers, liberating us and empowering us, flipping the totem pole of authority, and now the first sign of a believer is to cast those things out - not follow them and believe them and talk like them

20 - v.11 - According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: -

God's eternal purpose for man is now is revealed and ready for implementation - It is finished. - accomplished - What is finished? The intent of God - the eternal purpose. The curtain in the temple, in that moment, not from bottom to top, man didn’t tear it, but from top to bottom God tore it - “This day is over.” It is now a new day - a new and living covenant in the blood of the Son of God. How can there be a death to the testament / covenant unless there is a death of the testor. Now is the time for salvation.

Provision for Believers

40 - v.12 - In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. -

We have boldness before and access to our Father - Believe it, regardless of how you feel - If we don’t have boldness it’s because we are not believing. I don’t care how you FEEL, have boldness. Seeing you have a high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus…. Have boldness to enter in and receive mercy and grace. You don’t need ministry. Believe. You don’t need delivery. You have been delivered from the power of darkness and translated into the kingdom of the Son of His love. Believe.

05 - v.13 - Wherefore I desire that ye faint not at my tribulations for you, which is your glory. - Don’t lose heart because it seems like I am going through hell on the earth - tribulations.

30 - You overcome during trouble because your perspective on trouble has changed - John 16:33 - In this world you will have tribulation. Truth has come and changed the way you think and see. Now adversity is not your trouble because you manifest Christ in the face of it. You can see through my tribulation that I don’t love my own life unto death. Nothing has changed in who I am and why.

30 - v.14,15,16 - For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; -

55 - v.17-19 - That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. -

We are restored to manifest God - to become love - Paul prays that we walk in a revelation of love. Why? Because that is the manifold wisdom of God. That fallen flesh, fallen humanity could be lifted up out of darkness and translated into the kingdom of the Son of His love and manifest the very nature that they fell from - be redeemed back to the truth they were created in - shine the light of His glory as if man never fell. To know the love of Christ is to be filled with all the fullness of God.

30 - v.20 - Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, - All glory is to God - Are we exalting men? To Him be glory… Do you see how one He makes us with Him? He’s not craving your glory. We are the ones bringing Him glory. The exaltation of who He is and the relationship of us in Him. Sounds like He doesn’t want to see Himself apart from us in Him.

{Here Dan switches to the end of Ephesians 1.}

30 - v.22

45 - Final statement - Don't contest the NT with the OT - It’s not bad to ask questions about the OT but it’s not ok to use the OT to contest the NT. It is deception. It’s shallow thinking. No foundation in revelation or truth. They can be motivated by many things. But let’s set the record straight through Jesus.

40 - Closing prayer
