Day 30 (2011)

0:00 - Opening Prayer - Bigger perspective

1:25 - Power and Love Conference - Colorado - healings

➡ 6:00 - We were talking about love - becoming love.

6:10 - Opening prayer - continue to put heaven’s perspective inside us

God's Purpose in Redeeming Us is Bigger than We Thought

7:30 - Understand your purpose - We were created to look like our Father - love - The reason we were created is for God’s image. This keeps me free from offense - from falling into the things of the flesh that people cycle in because truth makes you free. So if I understand in my prayer life and communion why I am here, my life is no longer an experiment.

7:55 - Don't live life as an experiment - Just seeing what works - Look to Jesus for purpose and value - Life as an experiment - trying life, trying to find life as they go - they cycle for years - sometimes they learn and grow - others stay deceived and never grow. You don’t want to learn life as you go. You want to learn life through Jesus because He is life - He’s the way, the truth and the life.

8:20 - Jesus reveals the value and purpose of our life. You find yourself in the Lord.

8:30 - Be rooted and grounded in God's love - Then live from God's love - The Bible says to be rooted and grounded in love. So that every place we live from comes from love. Because we were created in God’s image and God is love.

8:45 - The fall made us self-centered, self-conscious, needy for love - But what we need, we find in Him - The fall of man brought a lot of insecurity, self-centeredness and self-consciousness on the earth. The fall of man made us self-centered, self-desiring, self-justifying, self-protecting, self-sufficient. And none of us are doing too well in that arena. There is really not fullness in that place. You always need people to do the right things, say the right things or you are let down, frustrated, mad. You go from happy to sad - a roller coaster ride. The purpose of our life is found in His image in the good times and the hard times.

9:25 - Understanding who you are and why helps you through the hard times - The hard times is where the test is. When things aren’t going the way you desire you really can’t lose sight of why you are here. You’ll turn inward if you don’t understand. If you lose sight of who you are and why you are here, you will start justifying the flesh - justifying certain feelings and you won’t find the grace and strength in Christ to keep living for the right purpose.

10:00 - Difficult relationships - Being in a relationship where someone doesn’t line up can take a toll and give you reasons… “Well, how would you feel if you had been in this thing 15 years...” The next thing you know that one phrase can sell you cheap. You can let that one person who refuses to shift become your identity. And you don’t realize what’s happening.

10:25 - Hold onto identity and purpose during hard times - So you really can’t lose sight of who you are and why. We are on the earth to be found in God’s image. The reason we are born again is not to go to heaven, it’s to get heaven back inside of us, to get restored back to the Father and the Father inside of us. We are one with Him. So that His image is restored in our life. So that we can bear witness to His name in the face of life. That's why we're Christians.

10:55 - Christianity is not just about God pampering us and taking us to heaven one day - Most of us didn’t grow up that way. Most of us heard Christianity taught that it was all for our sake - about God pampering us - taking care of us - giving us provision and taking us to heaven one day. And we are not really changed because we are singing songs, “Why would you love me? I really can’t understand this mysterious love. It’s amazing you even consider me.” Because we think we’re such losers. We see ourselves for the way we have been. God’s love is a mystery songs.

God Set Man Over the Works of His Hands

11:40 - Hebrews 2 - Hebrews helps us understand who we are and why we are here - He’s talking in Hebrews 1 about Jesus being the expressed image of God and that Jesus is a Son begotten by God. He rules His kingdom with a scepter of righteousness. Hebrews 1 is full of identity and purpose - foundational truth. That His angels are ministering spirits. He’s talking about God’s purpose in sending the Son, angelic spirits ministering to the heirs of salvation. He’s showing you how important you are to this whole mix.

13:30 - 1:13 - But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? - Sit at my right hand - God is intense about this. He has a plan and a purpose and we are the subjects of the salvation He is talking about. It’s all directed toward the redemption of our lives. And heaven is involved in this.

13:50 - v.1 - Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. -

Stay diligent - Therefore / because this is true… Let’s pay especially close attention to what we have heard lest they drift away. Stay diligent in this truth because life, feelings will sneak up on you. People will say the wrong things and it will give you the right to be the wrong way unless you take earnest heed of the things you have heard.

14:35 - We don’t just want to know about God, we want to know Him.

14:45 - v.2-3 - For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; - How shall we escape if we neglect a salvation so great? In other words, there’s no other answer, no other escape, freedom or truth. He makes it narrow - He’s THE way, not A way. He’s not just a good choice. So we’ve heard this salvation and it’s great - It makes sense so I am going to continue in it.

15:20 - v.4 - God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will? -

15:30 - v.5-7 - For unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man, that thou visitest him? Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands: -

Mankind is very important to God - We are not God but we are the sons of God. That is not blasphemous. When the Pharisees were so mad a Jesus because He called Himself the Son of God, Jesus pointed them to the scripture - Doesn’t the scripture say that you are gods - from God - having His DNA. New age is making yourself a god. We’re in God and God is in us.

16:50 - You CROWNED him with glory and honor.

16:55 - v.8 - Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. -

17:05 - He set us over the works of His hands - That’s incredible. We cry out to God in fear, despair. And He says, “Hey, you don’t know who you are.” He’s trying to tell us who we are right here. This was His plan. He put all things in subjection under our feet. There’s a place for us to have boldness and courage and believe and understand the will of God. That’s why we need our minds renewed through the gospel. That’s why we need to be not conformed to the world. We lived in our senses and in our flesh our whole life. And unfortunately after we embrace a Christian confession, we stay that way a lot of times and don’t understand the truth. And we continue in fear, worry and continue to let life, face value, continue to be our reality.

18:00 - He crowns us - But here is God, in His word, saying, You have made him a little lower than angels and crowned him with glory and honor.

18:05 - Glory and honor - How does He crown us with glory and honor? - He forgave us of everything we’ve done when we repent...

18:10 - Gospel in a nutshell - We were created for God's image - When we understand that that we were created to be sons and we say, “Wait a minute, I’ve put life in my own hands. I’ve lived by my own will, my own desire at the cost of whatever. I’ve been very self-driven. I’ve been very self-minded. I wasn’t created for myself. Wow, I see that I was created for God’s image. Jesus modeled a life I was created to live. He said, ‘Follow Me.’ So I repent - I change my mind - and I give my life back to Jesus. So God comes into me.

18:35 - Glory and honor - How does He crown you with glory and honor? By first showing you the time of day. God almighty just considering you. “I know you. I love you. Let me show you the truth about your life.” And He comes through His Son.

19:15 - The other way He crowns us - He fills us with the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead. He shows that we are His home - the desired place that He wants to dwell. He could live anywhere and He wants to live in you. You are a house fit for a King. That’s God’s idea of a home - you.

19:40 - He told us to subdue - You set him over the works of your hands - If we could just get out of worry and fear and just camp in this and understand that God gave us authority and told us to subdue the works of His hands...

19:50 - v.8 - He put all things in subjection under man’s feet - through the name and authority of Jesus Christ. Not because you are a hotshot but because Jesus is Lord. He really doesn’t want us afraid. He wants us with courage.

20:05 - We pray because we are in crisis - But He doesn't want us afraid - The crisis is driving our prayers. We really don’t understand the power and authority of Jesus’ name. We’re still trying to figure out God’s will. We’re still perplexed. We’re still trying the gospel hoping it works.

21:00 - Under our feet. Is that true? Is the word of God true? Is that for us to believe? Camp here until it becomes your reality. It’s one thing to preach it but a different thing to know it and live it. When you know it and live it, that’s where fear / worry is crushed. That’s when the confidence of the finished work of Christ begins to live through your life.

22:30 - Even physical death will be swallowed up -This next verse is what I wanted you to see. He’s talking about death in the sense of physical, natural death. Even in time that will be swallowed up. Incorruptible body.

23:00 - But this has way bigger meaning than just death...

We Don't See Everything Subjected Yet... but We're Growing in Him

23:15 - We don't see it all in subjection yet - He left nothing that is not put under him - But now we do not yet see all things put under him. Who has seen the answers to all of their prayers? Who has seen everything go the way the Bible says it’s supposed to? But yet it says all things are placed in subjection under our feet - that we are in authority over the works of His hands.

23:55 - v.9 - But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man. -

When things don't seem to be in subjection keep your eyes on Jesus - He is the truth and we are growing in Him - But we see Jesus - Where do you fix your eyes when you don’t see thing yet in subjection to what you believe you have authority in? Where do you have to keep looking? What do we tend to do when things don’t make sense? Come up with explanations for our experience - create theory. The Bible says, when things aren’t in subjection, you better keep your eyes on Jesus. Because He is the truth and we are growing in Him. And if we come up with an explanation apart from Him you’re definitely going to create a ceiling. This is talking about increasing in growth and keeping your heart in a good place.

24:40 - We are growing in the expression of authority and love - What did He say in Luke - I give you authority over... all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means harm you. Sometimes it seems like we are harmed. Sometimes it seems like things don’t submit. But the Bible is teaching us that there is a place to grow in authority, in love and in understanding to where we can move in the subduing of all things. One day we are going to realize that this was the truth the whole time. Get to the place where if things aren’t in subjection we see Jesus. That's where authority / anointing is going to increase.

26:00 - Granddaughter visits New Life for Girls - granddaughter prays for the sick.

35:20 - Be steadfast in believing - Even when your mind can't cope with what is happening - It shows that we have this kind of authority in Jesus name. Sometimes healings happen quickly. Other times things don’t seem to be happening and our minds go bonkers. We struggle so much. I’m just learning not to let my mind go bonkers. Just continue to believe and call on the name of the Lord and not budge.

36:00 - I'm doing my best. I'm going after God. And I'm not changing my mind. Stay that simple. Contending.

36:25 - “How come I didn’t get healed.” Faith is not a point in time. Faith is the position of your heart to receive from God. It is His will. “Well, how come they got it so quick?” Stop. You’ve got God and your own value in court. Questions are on the wrong track. You’re taking it personally. Get back in the good fight of faith. Most of the time prayers are driven by need.

37:25 - Walgreens manager healed of carpal tunnel - wrist brace. Surgery on Friday. One problem, I don’t believe. You're freaking me out. No numbness.

41:10 - Don’t be thrown by situations that don’t fit a cookie cutter pattern - “One problem, I don’t believe,” and you think that’s a problem. What if it’s not a problem?

41:00 - Paradox - some unbelievers healed on the spot v. believers not seeing the thing change. It drives our minds crazy.

41:10 - Pray from a place of security, identity, rooted and grounded in His love - Faith works through love - Sometimes we are praying because we are believers in the sense that we’ve been taught and we know what the Bible says and we are trying to get it. Faith works through love and relationship. There is a place to pray from, like Jesus - Rooted and grounded - Understanding who we are in the Father - No identity crisis, no insecurity, no fear, no worry. Do you think Jesus had that stuff going on (in His head)? And He said, “Follow Me,” didn’t He?

41:45 - We’ve got to be real careful now that the book is already written, that we are still writing.

42:00 - He put ALL things in subjection under our feet… We do not yet see everything under our feet. - That’s been my experience. I see all sorts of things move out of the way. And then every now and then something will sit there and say, “What-ever. I’m not moving.”

➡ 42:30 - We’re not going to get into that stuff (healing) right now, I’ve got some things I need to finish up. We’ll hit healing really hard later in the school.

42:50 - We see God through Jesus - But we see Jesus. Who is perfect theology - perfect belief system? Remember, “No one has seen God at any time… the only begotten who is in the bosom of the Father has declared Him to us.” We have not seen God until Christ has come. We have not seen God except through the life of Christ and He has declared Him to us.

➡ 43:30 - We need to be established in the love of God and the will of God to heal - What I just preached (Heb 2) there is never going to be fulfilled unless we are rooted and grounded in love (1 John 2) and settling in our heart the will of God and the love of God.

44:00 - We are still trying to figure out the will of God - Look to His word, not your experience - Some of us are still trying to find the will of God through life - through the way things happen and unfold. The biggest mistake the church has made concerning God’s will in healing - to find God as we go - to define God as we go. To take our outcome and determine God’s will through our outcome when God’s will is determined through the life of Jesus and what was already revealed through His word. We keep writing the book on God based on how life is and is not going.

44:45 - Video of people sharing the how God ordained the losses of loved ones and how it is all going to work out. It was disarming them and taking their armor off. Anti-finished work of Christ. Anti-all things under our feet. Anti-subdue. The enemy plays on sentiments. We are trying to find comfort and giving up power. God ordained it. Who am I to question God. We’ll find grace in the death and learn through this and become better people because He alone is God.

48:00 - Sometimes people are offended when you suggest praying for their loved one. Ohio. It’s all the working of God’s plan. Why pray? And your feelings and emotions will agree. A seductive (demonic) mindset. When you bring up, “How can you see love in this?” They respond - Eternal life.

50:15 - Never give up your sword and shield - All things are to be in subjection - Any theology that takes away your sword and your shield can’t be from God. He gave you both. He told you to stand and always use them. It can’t be from Jesus. That’s a good measuring stick.

50:50 - All things are in subjection under man’s feet. He gave us dominion over the works of His hands. If we embrace this other thinking there is no need for sword and shield. Whatever will be, will be. God is sovereign and He does what He wants.

51:00 - No, God gave you the earth. Psalms 115:16 - He gave the earth to men. And we are accepting our losses, trying to figure out how it’s God and getting offended if someone is trying to pray otherwise.

51:30 - John G. Lake’s wife - dying. “Reconcile with the will of God” - a destructive lie ingrained in the mind of the church. Healing all who were oppressed by the enemy. Bowed legs straightened.

54:20 - "Not everybody is healed" - Don't accept this as God's will - That was not Jesus' experience - “Yeah but… Not everybody is healed.” - The only reason we say this is because of our experience but you can’t find that in the life or teaching of Jesus. So don’t accept it as the will of God, even though we have to find a place of grace when we lose people. Still see a bigger picture and at the same time not lose our fight (our readiness to stand up and fight).

54:50 - Heaven didn’t take your loved one.  But heaven receives your loved one. In no way does that lessen your fight.

55:10 - When you look at some situations and see a clearly demonic oppression, it’s almost blasphemous to say that it’s the will of God. Jesus went around healing all who were oppressed by the devil.

55:40 - How many got healed when He prayed? How many were healed that came to Him? He declared the Father to us. Personal loss doesn’t change the word. So in humility, we have to go after this. We don’t have to just keep losing. There is a place for us to believe.

56:20 - Losing a man to cancer. He was totally healed for 9 months. Different cancer. Passed away. Love is greater than all mistakes. Another man with the same cancer came and was healed.

59:00 - Healing is available despite our weaknesses - Love is greater than all our mistakes. Love covers a multitude of sin. Mercy triumphs over judgement. Drill that in to me - that what it seems like men have earned - let it be overcome by mercy. Sometimes those closest to you are the hardest ones to have faith for because you so know the people involved and the mistakes they have made. Yet none of that has anything to do with them receiving from God. It's mercy triumphing over judgement. It’s the love of God overcoming. Get that in your heart.

Be Established in His Love - Faith Works through Love

➡ 59:45 - I was trying to talk about love but got onto healing because faith works through love. Faith doesn’t work because you have need. And it doesn’t work just because you found a scripture in your Bible.

100:10 - 1 John 2 - v.3 - And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. -

Obedience reveals relationship - Oneness with God - Walking out His word is the revelation of knowing God. It’s not just going to church. When we are living His word it reveals that we know Him - His word is taking priority in our life - we’ve become one with Him. It’s just like walking in love. 1 John 4:7,8. So knowing God is revealed by walking out His word and becoming love.

101:00 - v.4 - He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. - Living your life apart from God’s word while holding a confession that all is cool.

101:20 - v.5 - But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. - When you keep His word you give Him highest honor - you’ve given your life back to Him. It’s an expression of love. He has loved you and now you are expressing your love back to Him.

➡ 101:50 - The love of God is perfected in him - Why do we talk so much about the love of God in this school? Because the automatic response of knowing His love is keeping His word. Now you are not trying to do right, it’s an automatic response of being in His love. I don’t wake up and try to do right. I don’t have a list of what I need to do today. I’m just waking up free and blessed. I’m not trying to fulfill His commands. You just find yourself walking in Him because you are in love.

102:30 - Embracing feelings of unworthiness produces unworthy living - Get out of that mindset - Praying for a man that doesn’t feel like he is worthy. Has zero to do with the man. Everything to do with the love of God. It’s not just about them getting healed but about them getting that mindset out of their life. When you feel unworthy, you are going to live unworthy. When you believe less about yourself you start to perform and function less because that’s who you are. Christ makes us worthy. It’s the love of God and the blood of Jesus that reveals our value. He didn’t die because we were sinners. He died because we were lost sons. He died to redeem our value.

104:15 - v.5 - You don't earn His love - Receive His love - It’s not works, it’s receiving His love. You are not keeping His word to perfect the love of God. No, the love of God is perfected and the result is His word is being kept.

104:40 - How many people trying to live in obedience but are not sure of His awesome love? Trying to earn His love - win His love - trying to be perfect in His word so that they can be loved. No, start with His love and then we will do well. I’m in love with Him and yielded. The greatest thing you can do is be loved by God.

105:35 - Receive God’s love - God, You loved me so much that You paid the price for my life because You saw who I was from the beginning. You made me with purpose. I didn't know any of that. Some days I was just willful and arrogant and stubborn. And somehow it didn't change You because You know who I am. Thanks for bringing the best out in me. Thanks for loving me when I was so unlovely. Thanks for coming and finding me when I was so lost. God thank You for showing me that I had a greater potential, greater value in You. God, thank You for redeeming my life...

106:20 - People that aren’t keeping His word just don’t understand His love.

107:00 - perfected - to complete, to accomplish, to carry through to the end - to bring to a successful conclusion - to reach the goal - to fulfill. Bringing into maturity and completion.

107:30 - v.6 - He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. - ought to walk as He walked. - Why? Because Jesus walked in perfect love. Healed, setting free… Did everybody get healed? Why? Perfect love. Love - not just talking about human empathy, emotion.

Praying for Close Friends, Family, Favorites

108:10 - Praying for close friends and family - sometimes our strong emotions are at odds with faith - Sometimes when we pray for those with whom we are very close, our strong emotions and empathy are at odds with faith - God’s love for the person, the finished work of Christ and the power of God. Driven by the fear of losing them. And the whole time you are calling it faith. Jesus wasn’t moved by any of those fears.

109:00 - Best friends - favorites - You shouldn’t have friends that you see as having much higher value. Not best friends at the cost of others. We value some way higher than others. It makes us a sitting duck when trouble comes. Then prayers are driven because of who the friend is that you are so moved. You are already in trouble. It’s already works - sentiment - emotion and human stuff. It’s about who God is and His promises.

111:00 - Blind man in Michigan - doctor - empathy, everybody loves him - I appreciate your testimony for the doctor, but none of those reasons is why God heals. (If so, glory would go to man because he earned it.) Can you see me at all? That’s a shame because I am a pretty good looking fellow.

113:00 - Lady with frozen eye. Can you see me? Am I a pretty good looking fellow? Now I know you can see, Worship Him!

114:00 - Blind doctor (continued) - I had to dismantle the whole merit thing before I could pray. Because when Jesus healed him they would have thought it’s because he is such a good man. And God owed it to him.

115:00 - That kind of sentimental love is usually trouble when praying for the sick. We pray extremely hard and if the result doesn't happen we are extremely hurt and confused. And we feel like we have to explain it.

115:20 - Blind doctor (continued) - saw everything crystal clear - 6 weeks later.

116:20 - I tell you that testimony because of the lady who brought Him forward. It seems like a good thing to honor someone that way but you are missing the grace and work of Jesus and why He really does what He does.

Healing - Foundations

116:50 - Does fasting cause God to heal? - Fasting is to prepare you for healing situations. It’s not a works. Fasting is to suppress the flesh side of man - any carnal temptation - anything that would be flesh driven in your life. Fasting suppresses that so that the spirit man can rise up and have dominance in your life. That’s why you fast.

➡ 117:30 - I’ll talk about fasting at least one day in this school as grace permits.

117:35 - Healing does not depend on our "works" - People use fasting as works. But healing happens because of the love of God through Jesus and the finished work of Christ. Banners, flag waving, shofar… all of that is trying to do the right thing, to get the right thing, instead of believing His simple love. It was all coming from a place of fear and driveness because of the reality of losing a loved one. You couldn’t find that in Jesus’ life.

➡ 118:40 - We are on this topic. Is it alright if we just stay here? On the healing topic?

119:20 - First and foremost - Settle the will of God to heal - MOST IMPORTANT on the topic of healing: You have to settle on beforehand, before you ever pray for anybody else - You have to lock in and settle in your heart based on what the word reveals - settle on the will of God to heal. It’s still the big hot potato out there. It shouldn’t be.

119:40 - Faith springs out of knowing the will of God to heal - The will of God to heal has to be established in your life if you are going to have faith. If you don’t understand the will of God, how can you have faith? You just have hope that the need gets changed.

120:00 - Faith is a spontaneous response from knowing God and understanding His will for a situation - Faith is substance of - the realization of what you are hoping for. When we pray for the sick we hope that they are healed. But faith is the realization of that hope. How can you have a realization - a knowing of your hope - without knowing the will of God? Faith is the evidence of what you haven’t yet seen. How can you have an inner evidence of what you haven’t seen? By knowing God’s “yes” (God’s will) in the situation. It’s the only way. Faith is found when the will of God is revealed. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word and it works through love.

120:40 - We often pray from need and call it faith - How can I have Bible (what the Bible calls) faith, if I haven’t settled the will of God in the situation I am believing for? Because if you haven’t settled His will for the situation, maybe He will heal or maybe He won’t. But let’s pray because we have need. So there is no authority, no subduing of the works of His hands because we don’t even understand the heart of God in the matter, so we are just crying out. That’s what we’ve been reduced to.

121:10 - Everybody prays when there is trouble. Even people who don't believe in God will cry out in the midst of trouble.

121:30 - Those that know their God, do great exploits. Dan. 11:32 Doesn’t say everybody who cries out. Because faith comes from knowing the will of God.

121:35 - Bible faith - Heb 11:1 - substance of things hoped for - the realization of your hope - a knowing. How can I be that sure in my heart that something is going to happen if I don’t have God’s take on it. If I’m unsure of Him, I’m unsure in my heart.

We Carry the Kingdom - We have Responsibility

122:20 - 2 Corinthians 1 - Yes & Amen - v.15-16 - And in this confidence I was minded to come unto you before, that ye might have a second benefit; And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia unto you, and of you to be brought on my way toward Judaea. - passing through so that they could help him along the way of his travels to Macedonia. Now coming back by again.

123:35 - v.17 - When I therefore was thus minded, did I use lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea, and nay nay? - This is huge.

Don't pray just from need - Pray because of the answer that has already been provided - When I pray for the sick do I do it lightly? Why are we praying? Doing things lightly. I’m not praying because there is a need. I’m praying because there is a covenant and a promise and understanding in my heart. You pray because you have an answer. Because truth has been revealed - Christ has come. You pray from the position of covenant. It’s an answer driven prayer not a problem driven prayer.

125:00 - HCSKL 2010 - It was like we couldn’t hear. Because life had bitten us so hard. We had tried so hard. We’ve had so many experiences where it didn’t happen, that when the good news is preached there are many “Yeah, buts,” rationales, reasoning. That’s the voice that Eve listened to. I answered the same questions over and over.

125:30 - The day you eat of the tree you will die. "Oh, now, Did God say that? You won't really die."

125:45 - These signs SHALL follow those that believe… they SHALL lay hands on the sick and the sick SHALL recover - period. “Well yeah, brother, but not everyone is going to be healed.” It’s the same voice that spoke to Eve.

126:45 - v.17 - Be led by God - Not just blown by the winds of life - v. 17is so huge - He’s talking about the way he lives. He’s saying, “Do I do things lightly? Is it just driven by life and need. I’m not vacillating. I knew what I was doing - I was being led by God - it was the will of God. I’m not living by the flesh. I’m not doing it lightly.”

127:25 - Living by the flesh - your own works, ingenuity, qualifications… You live by grace through Christ = no condemnation. Living by the flesh = death. Living by the Spirit = life, peace.

128:00 - Avoid "yes & no" living - an indecisive way of living - Jesus wasn't like that - He’s talking about living by the flesh - it’s an indecisive place. It’s maybe “yes” and maybe “no.” You are not sure whether something will happen. He was talking about living by the flesh, and what that results in, and now he shifts and and talks about the spiritual…

128:30 - v.18 - But as God is true, our word toward you was not yea and nay. - We live maybe so / maybe not - our word to you was not maybe He will, maybe He won’t. If you take “yes” and “no” and marry them together, if they have children it would have to be “maybe so” / “maybe not.” The only thing yes and no produces is maybe so or maybe not. We live maybe so, maybe not. Maybe He will, maybe He won’t - let’s pray and we’ll see. If He chooses to heal then we will know that it was His will. If He doesn’t heal it just wasn’t His will.

129:30 - Where did we get that kind of thinking? We’ve defined God through the flesh. Through our circumstances and the human mind and not through His Son. Paul says if I am living by the flesh, it’s indecisive - it’s yes and no - (but) if I am preaching God who is faithful it is yes, period.

129:55 - v.19 - For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us, even by me and Silvanus and Timotheus, was not yea and nay, but in him was yea. - Jesus wasn’t yes and no.

130:15 - v.20 - For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us. - for ALL the promises of God in Him are yes.

We carry the kingdom - God works through us - We get off track by listening to what life teaches - Through us - Who carries the revelation and ministers the kingdom? He is in us to move. But we don’t know what is going on because life has taught us something else. We’ve lost so many people, had unanswered prayers so we have to try to come up with something to comfort our soul. But the things that we come up with are at the cost of truth. And truth makes us free.

131:10 - Paul says, If I live in the flesh, I am a yes and no guy. Why are we yes and no Christians concerning healing? Because we weigh God through the flesh - through the outcome and experience of life. And we say things like, “If he died, God must have wanted him.”

131:45 - We blame God - But we have responsibility - And there is an enemy at work - Adding to and shortening my days. We have responsibility. We put it on God and sovereignty but there is a thief who steals, kills and destroys. Why doesn’t he (satan) get any of the blame. Why do our minds turn completely to God as soon as tragedy strikes? What about us? What about the devil? Why is God the focus all the time when He gave the earth to men and told us to subdue. We are supposed to know.

132:45 - We are supposed to know God’s will - Rom 12:2 - Transformed by the renewal of your mind so you can prove God’s will. We are supposed to know God’s will. How do you know it? Through Jesus. He’s the will of God revealed. He’s the yes and amen of the Father.

133:30 - ALL the promises of God are yes and amen. It’s yes and amen through us. We ought to know the yes. We're fighting over the yes.

133:55 - Denominations - divisions not the will of God. We fight because of our experiences.

134:20 - The Bible says that the gospel did not come with a yes and no but all the promises have God’s yes stamped on it so we’re called to grow up into that truth - even in the face of loss. We’re growing up into Him in all things.

134:55 - BREAK

Healing - We're Growing

135:50 - But what about when we don’t see healing? -

We are growing. When we don’t see everything in subjection, we are to get our eyes on Jesus. If bring you Jesus into the scenario that is troubling you, what is the end result of that? What happens? Total healing - period. That’s the key. And we are the body of Christ.

136:25 - We've been waiting on Him to heal - But He is waiting on us to understand and rise up - We’ve been waiting for the Lord to do all of this stuff and He’s been waiting for us to understand who we have become and rise up and start appropriating authority and live in boldness.

136:45 - Fear not little flock, it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. And we are to go preach saying the kingdom is here. But what do we do in crisis? Fear and then pray. We show that we don’t understand. We cry to a God out there and He has taken up residence in us. Who ministers the kingdom? He wants to move through us. Ephesians 3:20 - by the power at work in us. Why do we lay hands on the sick? Because the kingdom is in us. We’re one with God and Christ in us is moving. The power of God in us - flows through us into the situation. We have the honor of walking in our created value - children of God.

138:00 - Isn't it amazing that we have a place to grow into - where cancer says yes sir?

138:15 - Praying for lady with breast cancer.

138:40 - Isn’t it amazing that you can say, tumor, leave the body and it just shrinks away. It’s the authority and the power of the name of Jesus. Have the attitude - “I know this thing is true. My experience isn’t revealing it but God you are still who You are.”

139:10 - Boy with brain tumor - healed - then later tumor came back and he died. But there is a place for him to be healed.

Visuals

140:45 - Don't let "visuals" knock you back - He is still Lord - situations where what you are seeing is way bigger than where you have grown spiritually because it is so serious. When Jesus looks at that, He is still Lord. And that’s where we need to go - to where nothing is impossible with God - and nothing is impossible for those that believe.

141:40 - Don't strive in prayer - Faith moves the mountain - All things are possible - 3 hard losses in a row - “Dan these things are building a resume. And what you are seeing with your eyes and thinking with your mind is stopping... the aggression and desire of your heart.” I would pray hard and aggressive because what I saw was so serious - I would pray even harder. It was actually a form of honoring the sickness. What I was doing was saying, “Wow, this is bad. I better pray harder.” Just stay humble and remember: Faith moves the mountain and all things are possible.

143:00 - Intimidating "visuals" (continued) - I was sincere but what I was seeing with my eyes was greater than what I was seeing this way (through my relationship) with God. I had never seen a person in that condition.

143:00 - Boy (continued) - 2 sisters were really hurt - one sister prays for lady with tumor - because of the integrity of staying in the race after great loss something built in her - I know what I experienced but faith is greater.

146:45 - After losing man to cancer - “Every time you went in there and asked how he was doing, your mind was going, ‘Here we go again.’ Because you are so hurt from these other losses.” Two teenage boys right in a row. Then this other fellow died. The Lord told me that what was motivating my prayers was that everything I could see with my eyes told me he was dying.

147:40 - So then what is driving you? We’re losing him - we need a breakthrough. I was reduced to striving - Applying principles to get help. Instead of rebounding and praying from the right places. The only way you can rebound is to get perfected in love - get intimate with God.

148:00 - Man in coma - Nursing home - Would you come in and pray for my husband? - Couldn’t recognize, shook Dan, didn’t pray - walked in unprepared.

150:00 - “Oh my God” reaction - When you react like that. You are already done. It’s way bigger than where you’re at spiritually. When you are walking like Jesus, you can understand the toll that has been taken without being shaken, intimidated. All I could see was how bad it was.

150:30 - Man in coma 6 months (continued) - goes back with the man’s wife - wakes up.

152:10 - When I went in there the first time, it shook me. I had to go back home and get into truth. Everything I would have prayed would be driven by the freaking out at what I saw. It’s like we are honoring the condition. We are in fear of the condition instead of reverence for God. He said, “Fear not little flock…” So we are growing. And that's why I wanted us to see this scripture.

Faith & Healing

154:00 - Does praying from fear upset God?

Fear hinders faith - We pray from the place of fear, all the right stuff. Can there possibly be faith, authority and understanding when you’re praying or are you just trying get change because you are going, “Oh my God?” Is God upset with that kind of prayer? He’s never upset, I’m saying fear limits the ability to move in authority and the power of His name. And it’s why things aren’t subdued. Fear reduces us to praying principles we find in our Bibles instead of walking in authority.

155:05 - Jesus didn't have our fears - So if Jesus says, “Stretch forth your hand.” Is the hand healed? Why? Because He sees bigger than the withered hand. We look at the withered hand and say stretch forth and think, “Is it working? It doesn’t look like anything is happening. It looks the same. What do I do now.” And our minds are constantly spinning - especially with visuals. (Your mind is trying to take over what only your heart can do.)

155:30 - Do you think that when Jesus stopped the funeral procession He was thinking, "God, I hope this works or I am going to look like a fool."

155:50 - Faith is not just wanting it badly - It’s not a matter of is God pleased or displeased… The reason I share this - we think that our emotions, sentiments and our prayers is what indicates faith. Faith is settling on the will of God and seeing - who He is in the face of every situation. Faith is different than the fact that we have prayed.

156:15 - Faith is not about what you pray but what you believe - It’s not speaking to the mountain that makes it move, it’s believing. We are speaking at a lot of mountains that are just sitting there. We know the word, so when we see the mountain we know WHAT to say.

Faith works through love - The reason this school is so fixed on becoming love and receiving and walking in love (as opposed to learning what to say) is because faith works through love. And if we get a clearer identity, we’ll walk in greater revelation. If we see who we are, we won’t try so hard and we’ll realize it’s already finished. And we’ll see who we are in the place of where it is needed. We will recognize who we are when authority is necessary.

157:00 - Being moved by the ER situation and trying to apply God to it. Hoping for change. And we call that faith.

157:35 - Unbelief / negativity of others doesn’t prevent healing - What happens is that YOU become so overwhelmed by the unbelief that it becomes your reality. And you let what they don’t see determine what you do see. But if you keep your eyes on God, He can show up and change things.

158:25 - Family asks Dan to leave - just ready to let them go.

158:40 - Don't give up on the situation - Letting people go - I encourage you not to do that or you will never be able to hear the gospel without wondering whether you just let them go unnecessarily. The only reason you are doing it is you are saving yourself emotionally. Why not just hold on and believe so that at the end you will know that we tried as hard as we know and say, “God keep growing us.”

159:20 - God receives the dead but does not ordain the death. It’s not in the Bible. He’s not the author and giver of death. He’s the author and giver of life. He told us to raise the dead. And we’re deciding to let them go. We’re the ones confused. So if your loved one is already gone, how can you hear me teach this without feeling guilty. Emotional conflict. He told us to raise the dead.

201:00 - When we hear a diagnosis unto death we freak out. Then we pray from the perspective of someone dying. It shows that we are not established. It doesn’t have to move or shake us. I’m promised life.

Sovereignty - God Allowed It

201:30 - What about the “sovereignty” of God - God has the ultimate decision? (God said to Satan, Job is in your hands - The Lord struck David’s child - Who sent the plagues on Egypt?)

Not everything that happens is God's will - None of that should confuse us at all. You’ve got to see that everything was under the law of sin and death. It is the price of sin. There’s no atonement. There’s no blood of Jesus. God is still merciful, forgiving and relenting. There is no revelation in the old covenant of satan and the law of sin and death. So everything that happens is attributed to God.

202:40 - But is it God and His will to destroy or is it the law of sin and death and all this is tutoring us to a Savior and Christ and new covenant and new testament of God that works through mercy?

203:00 - Job 1 - v.6-7 - Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. -

There is an enemy on the earth - satan - going to and fro on the earth - seeking whom he may devour. The whole earth is in the sway of the wicked one. He is considered the god of this world. He said to Jesus, Bow and worship me and I’ll give you all these kingdoms because it’s all been handed over to me. Adam gave me everything God gave him and I’ll give it to you if you worship me. And Jesus said be gone from me. You worship God and only your God.

204:45 - The enemy set up a demonic government to defend against the kingdom of God - The moment Adam eats from the tree authority is lost and the darkness and demonic powers set up camp all over the earth to defend against the kingdom of God - to keep it from seeing God’s glory. Governmental authority in the ranks of satan. The image of God dies in man.

205:40 - The whole reason God made man was to reveal God’s glory.

206:00 - They were under the law of sin and death? Job’s story happened before Moses and the ten commandments.

206:10 - David and Bathsheba - It’s the law of sin and death. People reaping what they sowed.

206:20 - Fiery serpents in the wilderness - people die by the thousands. You sin, you die. You reap what you sow.

206:35 - God did not have a mood change from the OT to the NT - God has always been merciful and good or He would have never sent His Son. No mood change. He saw the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. It’s sin that kills men, not God. But if we put our trust in Christ, sin can never kill us again. He ended the power of sin once and for all and revealed righteousness on the earth.

207:10 - v.8 - And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? - The Lord mentions Job first. Job doesn’t love his life unto death. Job’s an honorable man. God is esteeming Job. There’s a man walking in a level of the image of God. He has wrong understanding / theology. From chapt 3 - 42 is the response of emotions and friends that don’t have right theology. Because they believe that everything that is happening is God.

208:50 - v.9 - Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. -

Satan believes that every man loves his own life more than God - And he is out to prove it - Satan answers - contests what God just said. Contesting God - When we contest what God says we act just like satan. Hedge - see how satan reasons? It’s just all the good that you have done to him. Of course he is blessing you. He has nothing to complain about. Give him something to complain about and you’ll see his true colors. All men are like me - self-centered, self-serving. People don’t love you God, they need you.

211:35 - Satan accuses us day and night before God. And we overcome him by the blood, the word of our testimony and we love not our own lives unto death. It’s the only place to find the power of the name and the blood. What’s the accusation? That you do love your own life. That’s why every trial comes - to prove you do love your own life and you are only in this for you. "God, where were you when..."

212:30 - Men living willful. I know He is God but… Putting the blame on God.

213:25 - v.12 - And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD. -

Satan did not need permission to afflict Job - satan already had the authority needed - The Lord addresses satan, all that he has is in your power. Was God giving him permission? That is what’s taught. Does satan need permission to afflict men under sin? He afflicts men when they are in righteousness. He still tries to test and try and tempt.

213:50 - The whole world lie in the sway of the wicked one - he is the god of this world. Does God stretch forth His hand to curse what He has blessed? Does God change His mind? Does God give and take away like we sing? Does God steal, kill and destroy? So does He have the capacity to stretch forth His hand and take what He has given to Job? Why? Because He comes to give us life and life abundantly. But Jesus taught us that. Do they have that revelation in that day? So satan is asking God to do what He never does. And God is saying, “Look, that is all in your power. That’s you. That’s your job description. You are the thief. I’m the Lord. He’s asking God to do what only the devil does.

215:20 - People say, “Well, God gave him permission.” Does he need permission?

215:30 - Sovereignty prevents Job's destruction - Listen to where sovereignty kicks in… only do not lay a hand on his person. He sovereignly said, you are not killing him.

216:00 - If God wasn’t sovereign every drunk driver would die and kill somebody with them. There’s a level of sovereignty we can’t deny. Every time you sin you would die. If sovereignty and mercy wasn’t holding back the devil, as soon as he had a legal right to you, he would take you out. It’s only the sovereignty of God that has you sitting here.

216:30 - Who has done things that should have messed them up and they didn’t get messed up.

217:00 - So under whose power is Job now? Satan. But sovereignty said, you are not going to hurt him.

217:05 - v.13-15 - And there was a day when his sons and his daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: And there came a messenger unto Job, and said, The oxen were plowing, and the asses feeding beside them: And the Sabeans fell upon them, and took them away; yea, they have slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. - So who did that? Who motivated the raiders to come and take and kill? Satan.

217:40 - v.16 - While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. -

It was not the fire of God - But they assumed it was - Everything that happens is God - The fire of God - Was it the fire of God? No. That’s what the servant said and that is what Job believed. That was their understanding - that everything that happens is God. We’re destroyed for the lack of knowledge. It was not the fire of God. It was the devil. But their theology was, like most people believe today, that everything that happens is the will of God. God administrates everything. No, men are destroyed for the lack of knowledge. The sword of the tongue is killing. There are men reaping what they have sowed. There is willfulness, obstinance, unrepentance and sin that is costing humanity a whole lot and God is not willing any of it. I have good news for you a whole lot of things that happen are not the will of God. A whole lot of things that happen aren't the will of God.

219:20 - If men are destroyed for the lack of knowledge, let’s get the knowledge and stop the destruction. And stop blaming God. And stop coming up with theology that accepts destruction and blames Him. After a while it is hard to be intimate with Him because He is so confusing and, “Why is He killing everybody?” How can I trust Him? I become afraid. I can’t get close to Him because I’m not sure who He is. We make Him schizophrenic - one minute He wants to show mercy and the next He wants to take your kids from you.

220:00 - The thief comes to steal, kill, destroy but I have come to give you life and life more abundantly. That’s a pretty clear job description.

220:20 - Who killed all of these people in Job? Satan

220:25 - v.17-19 - While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made out three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have carried them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, Thy sons and thy daughters were eating and drinking wine in their eldest brother's house: And, behold, there came a great wind from the wilderness, and smote the four corners of the house, and it fell upon the young men, and they are dead; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. -

It was not the wind of God - It was not God's judgment - Where did the wind come from? Hurricanes, tsunami… We make it God’s judgement - forgetting that there are many innocent lives lost. It is arrogance to assume that this is God’s hand wiping out all of these people. And then you want to cry when something bad happens to your family. We talk and don’t understand.

223:30 - v.20 - Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, -

Job responds in integrity - Even though he believes God did it - You give and take away song. He gives His Son and takes away your sin.

225:05 - Job’s integrity - He fell to the ground and worshipped - His integrity is amazing because Job actually believed that God did all of this stuff.

225:40 - "God allowed it" is a pitiful, dangerous, cop out doctrine - Did the Lord take anything away? That’s where we get into trouble - “Yeah but He allowed it.” - The most pitiful, dangerous doctrine on the face of the planet. He allowed the death of His Son to give you authority and courage and a sword and a shield and He told you to stand and fight. And we’re going to cop out with God allowed it.

226:20 - Did God take anything from Job? “Yeah, but He allowed it brother.” Do you think that satan goes to heaven every morning and gets permission slips for all of the adversity every time he challenges you? Or do you think the thief just comes looking, like a lion, seeking those who don’t understand, who have vulnerabilities, twisted beliefs, twisted motives who he can bite and chew. And if he can get one, he can get five or a whole church. And then for the next 25 years we are defending a theology that protects us from the loss of a pastor we loved so much.

227:30 - v.21 - And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD. In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. - Job believed God did take away and he still worshiped. But his soul reacted because he didn’t understand why.

228:00 - Job 2:1-3 - Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. And the LORD said unto Satan, From whence comest thou? And Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.

It sounds like satan has manipulated God - But he has only made Job believe that God is against him - although you incited me to - Can satan change the heart of God? Can he talk to God and change God? That’s what the english word seems to mean - to manipulate and turn of the course of - to get inside the head of one and ultimately the heart of one.

229:00 - You’ve caused me to be against him in his mind. You’ve made him think that I am against him. You’ve made him think that I turned my heart against him. You did this stuff, but you made him think I did it and he still hasn’t changed.

230:00 - Job’s friends are just like the church today, “Well, you had to open a door, you have to be in sin. If you’re walking in righteousness, the devil can’t touch you. You need faith. Just repent and get real. Where is the closet in your life? Get straight man.” That’s what his friends were saying the whole time.

230:40 - v.4-6 - And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he is in thine hand; but save his life. -

Satan does not need a permission slip - Man is already under sin - satan’s reply - This is what satan believes about you. God’s answer: Behold he is in your hand. Why do we hear that as a permission slip? “Why do you keep telling me to do what only you do? Look, he’s in your hand. You’re the god of this world. All men are under sin.”

231:30 - God is not giving out permission slips to satan - So stand and fight - If you embrace this as a permission slip, then God’s giving permission for your child to have cancer - God is giving permission for you to go through the season of hell you are going through. And all of the sudden you have no faith to fight because God has orchestrated it.

231:40 - God keeps His word - He's not giving out permission slips that circumvent His word - That’s the damage of the sovereignty of God when it is extended beyond His word. If He gave you promises for healing, He’s not going to sovereignly change His mind because He is God. Because His integrity as God is through His word. He will not change that.

231:55 - If you told your kids one thing and then did another, you would teach them to never take you at your word. And that’s exactly what the devil is trying to accomplish so that we don’t value the word of God. We still go to church. We still need God. We still try to do good. But we don’t value the word of God because it never measures up to our experience and God couldn’t have really meant what He said.

232:30 - His word is His integrity. His word is the truth about who He is. He has magnified His word above His name.

232:45 - Using His name in vain - without power - We say, “In the name of Jesus,” but we don’t even honor who Jesus is through the word. We are just desperate people. And we use His name in vain all the time - without power - it doesn’t mean cursing. To use His name in vain means to use His name without effect.

233:05 - Our use of His name implies that everything bad that happens is God's will - A strategy of the enemy - When men speak His name it leaves an impression. Satan is crafty in this. GD - as if God is the one that damns. The only time you say Jesus Christ is when you are mad. Isn’t that amazing how that worked into our language. Atheists and people who don’t even go to church, talk that way because it has worked into our language - to send a message that He is the one cursing, damning, responsible for my pain. It’s lies.

234:20 - Curse words imply that somehow God is responsible. He is responsible for sending His boy to put life and courage and authority in our spirit. And we are still blame shifting, fault finding, pointing a finger to the Creator, God.

234:45 - God did not send the wind or fire. Job’s servant was wrong. And we need to pick up on that.

235:45 - New life demands a new way of thinking - Interpret the OT through Jesus - Who struck Job? Satan. “Yeah but God allowed it.” We live under a new covenant. There is an atonement. There is the blood of Jesus crying mercy for you. All God’s promises are yes and amen. We get confused with this.

236:15 - You try to bring this story into a new covenant day, present day reality, that’s deception. You have to look through Christ. In these last days He has spoken to us through His Son. The truth is in Christ. We have a whole different way now - a new and living way. God has made this thing clear. The mystery is supposed to be revealed. And we are still living in mystery.

237:00 - v.9 - Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die. - Wife’s answer - curse God and die. Job believes God did it.

237:30 - If we don’t have a New Testament, new covenant mentality we’re going to go through the same confusion, tears, emotion, same mess - the friends are going to talk the same way they do today to people in trouble.

237:54 - Why are we repeating the story of Job now that Christ has come?

238:20 - Cursing - to send an impression that God is at fault - that He’s behind it. Isn’t that amazing how it works into our language.

239:10 - Closing prayer - Of course You are sovereign but let us not forget that You gave Your Son and You put the earth into the hands of men. You gave us authority in Your name. You told us to go. And if you gave us authority, why would you subvert that authority? It’s a new testament, a new order, a new, living way.
