Was Jesus God during His Time on Earth? - Dan Mohler
When Dan emphasizes the full humanity of Jesus it can sometimes sound like he is denying the divinity of Jesus during His time on earth. So does Dan teach that Jesus was also fully God during His time on earth?...
From HCSKL 2011: [Bracketed words are added for clarity/context.]
- Day 1 @48:20 - "They could hear the authority in what He was saying but they couldn't receive Him - hear Him - believe Him - and they finally crucified Him as a heretic and a blasphemer. And He was the Word made flesh. Their minds were so contrary to truth that when Truth spoke, they couldn't even hear it."
- Day 1 @53:40 - "The author and giver of life is ready to go into the realm of death and die - once, for all - and face death... He's eternal. He's Life. He made Himself of no reputation. Now He's going in to face death so that none of us ever die."
- Day 1 @1:11:55 - "Why don't we look in the mirror... and say, 'Jesus, you should have died for them, because you created them in your image. And what they were living before you came is nothing like your image. Man, thanks for seeing the value in their life.'"
- Day 1 @1:08:53 - "He's coming from the heavenly realm. He makes Himself of no reputation - putting on flesh - God who can't be tempted - now comes as a man and is tempted at every point."
- Day 1 @2:14:03 - "If man knew ahead of time and understood that the Son of God was about to be born, how they would have catered to Mary and rolled out the red carpet... [And Holy Spirit explains to Mary & Joseph], 'It's Me [my doing]. I put the Son of God in there.'"
- Day 1 @2:17:40 - "You can tell, in the life of Jesus, that He doesn't even want them [the disciples] to do the "Whoa" thing - even though He's the Son of God. He wants them to follow Him."
- Day 1 @2:19:30 - [Imagining Peter's reaction to foot washing] "You're the Lord - the Christ - the Messiah - the Son of God - and you are going to wash my feet? I don't think so."
- Day 1 @2:20:24 - "So He made Himself... That means He emptied Himself of His privileges." [Not His Personhood, but how He chose to function.]
- Day 2 @1:15:08 - [Jesus healing withered hand / Reasons why healing can't happen] "He's not intimidated by that. He's the Truth. He's the Christ. He's the the Son of God."
- Day 2 @2:21:24 - [Selling out truths with little negative thoughts] "It's like we are programmed to believe the lie and the Truth is screaming from a tree [Jesus on the cross], 'I love you. You're amazing. You are created in my image. Your life lived is worth my death. I'm going to rise and justify you. It is finished. You are sons and daughters. Rise up and be free.'"
- Day 3 @2:38 - "Jesus is the Truth - the Truth. He's the truth about life, the Father, you. Nothing was made that wasn't made through Him. He came to His own. The trouble is His own knew Him not and received Him not. But He came to His own. Who's that? It's us."
- Day 3 @1:43:35 - "He is THE Truth, not a truth."
- Day 5 @10:54 - "Thank you for your Word, God. Your Word was made flesh. You came and dwelt among us."
- Day 5 @52:58 - "That's a common thought - that Jesus came to reveal His deity..."
- Day 5 @53:33 - "Jesus, on the earth, doesn't want to stand out." [Implying an underlying reason to stand out: deity]
- Day 7 @42:16 - ["God" used interchangably with "Jesus"] "God would have the ability to sit on the throne and go, bzzz, 'Bow to Me," bzzz, 'Sing loud,' bzzz, 'Worship,' bzzz, 'Follow Me.' Instead He [God] humbled Himself - came in the likeness of flesh and died on a cross - died for His man - so that man would get the picture and see and fall in love."
- Day 7 @1:26:58 - "No man can mediate between God and man but the Man - capital M-a-n - Jesus Christ."
- Day 7 @1:35:10 - "But this man - capital M-a-n..."
- Day 12 @2:09:15 - "Who was ever treated more unjustly in human history than the Son of God in the flesh?"
- Day 13 @2:13:20 - [Teaching from Mark 5] "And what Jesus is saying is, “You talk different than me, but yet I created you in My image and you are called to be my sons. But you talk different than Me. You say this, but I say this.”
- Day 13 @2:13:55 - "And here's the Truth in flesh and blood - the Word made flesh - the Truth. And He says, 'Isn't it amazing that you are created in my image - and you're predestined for my glory - but you say...'"
- Day 19 @34:40 - "The life of Jesus is God’s will revealed. He's God in the flesh. He’s the word of God with a body. Come on... Jesus is not just a man - the Son of God - not just our savior - not just a scapegoat. He's not just the Lamb slain. He's the Word of God in a body. He's the Word made flesh."
- Day 19 @35:54 - "Jesus said, 'I am the truth.' The debate should be over. 'I am the Truth.' So He's the Truth in a body."
- Day 19 @128:57 - "What's the knowledge? The Word becoming a man and dwelling among us. He came to His own and His own received Him not. The worlds were made through Him and yet the worlds - the people of the world - didn't recognize Him. Why? Because they were so lost in the lie. Are you following? Come on, Truth came and dwelt among us and stood in front of us and we said, 'Who are you? And what are you talking about? Huh? Yeah, but...'"
- Day 19 @1:30:23 - "He's not just the epitome of... He is the Truth."
- Day 19 @1:35:41 - "And Jesus says, 'I am the Resurrection.' What He is saying is: the Resurrection is here - in flesh and blood. I'm here."
- Day 19 @1:36:57 - "Life is standing in front of them. Life itself - in a body - the author and giver of Life - not one thing was made that wasn't made through the One they are looking at. Life was standing in front of them and all they could see was death."
- Day 19 @1:40:00 - [Raising Lazarus] - "He's weeping because of the peril of the fall of man and just how lost man is in darkness and that Light itself is standing there and [yet] darkness is dominating their souls. Truth is standing there and lies are dominating. Life is standing there and death is reigning. And they are His people, made in His image. And nothing looks alike right now. [The people don't look anything like God's image now.] And He groans inside."
- Day 19 @1:47:02 - "Are you following the intensity of what we're saying? Do you realize that Life was standing in front of them and all was the problem? Do you realize [that] they were three feet from the Answer and [yet] the problem was way bigger?
- Day 21 @2:01:07 - [Jesus freaking out, over betrayal - Judas, Peter] "Could you ever hear Jesus say that [Jesus freaking out to His disciples]? Then why would you ever hear you say that? You're made in His image. And He's THE Truth, to redeem us back to truth. "
- Day 22 @6:42 - "John the baptist had a hard time... knowing that it was Jesus in the flesh - the Son of God in the flesh. And he said, 'You want me to baptize you?'"
- Day22 @8:21 - [On John 1:1] "Who's he talking about? Jesus. And He's the what? [the] Word - capital W. God put a body on the Word and said, 'Let Me show you what the Word looks like.'"
- Day 22 @21:47 - "The Word came guys. He dwelt among us. He was light shining in the darkness..."
- Day 22 @22:37 - "Why would anybody do something as radical as Jesus did? Because He knows who we are. He loves who He made us to be."
- Day 22 @27:00 - "The Son of God sat there in the fetal position inside a womb for nine months - to do it right. You must be pretty special to God if God Almighty became an embryo and a fetus and a newborn."
- Day 22 @31:39 - "He didn't have Pampers. Serious. He had to be changed [diaper change]. He had to be totally dependent on [a] mother. That's God. Absolutely phenomenal - to sit and think about that stuff and let it get in you."
- Day 22 @51:37 - "He came in[to] the world - the world was made through Him - and the world didn't know Him. Why?" [The implication - that there was something there to be recognized - i.e. Jesus was not just a man]
- Day 22 @53:24 - "The Light came into the world. And the world didn't recognize and know the Light. Why?" [The implication - that there was something there to be recognized - i.e. Jesus was not just a man]
- Day 22 @53:38 - "So when the true and living God came - the way it really is came - the real deal in the flesh - standing in front of you - 'Who are you dude?'"
- Day 22 @54:04 - "That the One that created the world, came to the world and the world said, 'Who do you think you are?'"
- Day 22 @1:02:25 - "How could He come to the world that He created and it not know Him - come to His own and they not receive Him - and Him stay the same? [not hurt]"
- Day 22 @1:13:37 - "If you bring Jesus into the picture and it sounds silly. It ought to sound silly if we're in there because we're in His image.
- Day 22 @2:18:15 - "But if you can't find it in the mouth or life of Jesus, why is it in our mouth, if He's in us and we're in His image?"
- Day 22 @2:19:10 - "So God put a life - a body - a man - on His Word. He fleshed Himself out. Jesus is the tada of God. God came out like He is through a man. His Word took on a body and lived life. That's literally what happened."
- Day 22 @2:21:02 - "The only begotten - the Son of God - the Word made flesh - who's in the bossom of the Father, He has declared Him [the Father] to us."
- Day 23 @44:00 - "So the whole time they are beating Him, death is not the reality, life is. He's Life. He's the author and giver of life. He is Life. He's the resurrection and the life.
- Day 23 @2:47:19 - "And that's why so many people aren't encouraged in the face of life even though the Giver of Life is here. And He is Jesus. That's what happened at Lazarus' tomb. All they could see was the chaos, the death, the loss, the blame shifting and [yet] He is the resurrection and life. He's standing right in the midst of the fall of man and all anybody could see was the fall - and there is the Lord. "
- Day 30 @8:12 - "So you don't want to learn life as you go. You want to learn life through Jesus Christ because He is life. He is the way, the truth and the life."
- Day 31 @5:13 - "Jesus is the Truth made flesh - made manifest."
- Day 31 @9:20 - "I don't know about you. But I'm excited that Jesus came as the Word, and lived. Because that's the Truth. Jesus' life on the earth lived is the Word made manifest. Come on. The Word - right? - He was made manifest. God gave His Word. He dwelt among us. So I have to find God through Jesus - through the life of Jesus. I can't even see God unless I look through Jesus."
- Day 32 @33:52 - "The fact that He is here in the flesh means that we have found favor with God. We have favor in His sight - or Christ wouldn't be here."
- Day 32 @34:27 - "I'm heading to the cross soon. I won't be here in the flesh much longer. You've got to get this."
- Day 32 @38:46 - "Guys, I'm heading to the cross soon. I'm going to hand you the baton of the new covenant, New Testament church and you are going to go in the authority and power of My name and subdue the works of my hands. You have to get this."
- Day 33 @30:13 - "One of the biggest mistakes we've made on the earth and in churches is we still... all we see Him as is God but He came as a man."
- Day 33 @1:41:34 - [In regard to the epileptic child's father's words to Jesus - If you can do any thing...]"You're looking at Jesus, the Son of God, Son of Man, Jesus in the flesh - God in the flesh - and you are saying, 'If you can do anything.'"
- Day 33 @1:41:47 - [In regard to the epileptic child's father's words to Jesus - If you can do any thing...] "You're talking to Jesus whom nothing was made that wasn't made through Him. He was there in the beginning. He was with God."
- Day 33 @1:56:15 - "Do you understand that Jesus ministered in the face of unbelief constantly? Do you understand that He came to His own and they knew Him not? That the world was made through Him and yet the world did not know Him? 'Who are you?'... He came as Truth in the midst of the fall of man."
- Day 33 @2:08:46 - "Jesus moved out of revelation. He was the Word made flesh. He's the revelation."
- Day 34 @8:08 - "Jesus' life is the truth about God's will to heal. It has to be. He's the will of God revealed. He's the visible image of an invisible God. When you see Him, you've already seen the Father. He's the expressed image of His person and the outwearing of His brightness.... John 1 says that no one has seen the Father at any time but the only begotten in the bossom of the Father has declared Him to us.
- Day 35 @24:11 - "Jesus is saying, 'Man, I created you for a purpose - to bear witness of my image. Even though you lost that through the fall, I took the fall, rose from the dead, to get it back inside of you. Now, go do what you were created to do, bear witness of my image.'"
- Day 35 @40:00 - "Well if the divine One lives in us, probably every appointment is divine."
- Day 35 @2:07:02 - [re: Luke 10:19] "Jesus took back His authority. The fact that Jesus gave authority to these 70 and to His 12 means He is Lord... The earth is still the Lord's and the fulness thereof and Jesus is there and satan can't stop Him."
- Day 35 @2:09:03 - [re: Luke 10:19 - I give you authority...] "Then look what He says right on the heels of that [Luke 10:18 - satan fell like lightening] - because Jesus is Lord."
- Day 35 @2:20:10 - [Jesus' hypothetical conversation with the man at the pool of Bethsaida] "Jesus didn't say [although the implication of the comment is that these things are true], 'Well now listen, I need you to bear with Me here. I'm really the Son of God. And I was from the beginning. And I always was with God. Man fell. And Adam ate [from] the tree...'"
- Day 36 @2:41:38 - "Jesus didn't even die, shed His blood or raise from the dead [yet] and He is still Lord so He can still delegate authority to men to have power over the thing that had them in a vice."
- Day 37 @5:56 - "If He is the way, the truth and the life, why are we still saying, 'What about Job?' Why aren't we saying, 'What about Jesus?'" [The implication being that Dan sees Jesus as the way, the truth and the life.]
- Day 37 @29:39 - "So He is setting the record straight through Jesus. He was there in the beginning and nothing was made that wasn't made through Him. Isn't it amazing, when He came, they received Him not and knew Him not, yet nothing was made that wasn't made made through Him. It shows how twisted man was when He came. It shows how in the dark man was."
- Day 37 @33:21 - [On Heb. 1:3 - the brightness of His glory and the express image of His Person] "So who is Jesus? The absolute revealing and picture of the Father."
- Day 37 @34:29 - "It's the same thing He did when He brought Jesus to the earth. He was a root that shot up out of dry ground - at the right time. 2 Cor. 4. - He called light to shine in darkness. And that light is in us because the life and the light go hand in hand. The life of Jesus is the light of men."
- Day 37 @36:25 - "Do you see who He is? Hebrews 1 says He's the expressed image of the Father. Colossians 1 says He IS the image of the invisible God."
- Day 37 @45:50 - "Do you hear that? 'IF you had known Me, you WOULD HAVE known my Father. [Implying that Jesus was more than just a man.]
- Day 37 @47:56 - "He [Jesus] is talking crystal clear. Philip goes [raises hand]. He says, 'Lord, show us the Father and it will be sufficient.' He just said, 'From now on you have seen Him.' Philip just doesn't get it."
- Day 37 @1:33:27 - "No, God sent Truth. And when He came, they said, 'Huh?'"
- Day 37 @1:33:45 - "So He became flesh. He had a body but He didn't live by the flesh. He lived by the Spirit."
- Day 37 @1:38:40 - "Who is the Word? It's Jesus. And who is Jesus? The Father revealed."
- Day 37 @1:52:43 - "Why are we still asking that stuff when there is so much clarity and God has gone out of His way through His Son in the flesh to make this point?" [at least implying that something more than you typically find in man is found in Jesus]
- Day 37 @1:54:15 - "Hear Him. Because in these last days I have spoken through Him. He's the Truth, not a truth."
- Day 38 @13:36 - "He gave them authority over unclean spirits. Isn't that amazing? Jesus didn't even raise from the dead yet. He didn't even shed His blood yet. And He is the Lord - He is there - because He's here... He's God's mercy on the earth - is what He is. And He's God's love and God's forgiveness. He's literally God's heart manifest - on His earthly ministry. He's God's heart towards man in the flesh. Is that sweet or what? And He is walking the earth - and now He calls these men - and He is so the Lord - He is so the King - like, the devil can't stop Him..."
- Day 38 @43:43 - "I was walking through the house and this revelation hit me. And I was like, ''Thank you that I know the Christ. Thank you that I know You, the Lord.' And I defined what the Lord was. And I said, 'I know You - Emmanuel - God with us. I know You Jesus.' And I said but, 'Thank You that I know the Christ.' It was so powerful."
- Day 39 @28:19 - "He's the firstborn. He's the example. He's the Truth. He came to set the record straight, guys."
- Day 39 @1:55:08 - "'Now the Lord is the Spirit.' Well, I thought Jesus was the Lord. Now I'm confusing ya... I guess the Spirit is the Spirit of the Lord, huh? Woah. I guess Father, Son and Holy Ghost is one, huh?"
- Day 40 @4:20 - "There is a truth behind you that I am going to reveal because I am the Truth. And I am willing to give Myself so that you can live."
- Day 40 @15:21 - "So, the Bible is revealing the heartbeat of God - the mindset of Christ. And He's telling me that I can have that."
- Day 40 @15:59 - "...taking on the mind of God [although Dan was clearly referring to Jesus], who laid down His life and made Himself of no reputation.
- Day 40 @47:19 - "So He comes up out of the water and Holy Spirit descends upon Him like a dove. He comes out of the wilderness in the Spirit and power. Well I though He would have already been... He's God. He became a man."
- Day 40 @49:20 - "So God sends Him as the Lamb. He's the total expression of the mercy of God and the forgiveness of sins, so of course, He's in a perfect position to say, 'Take heart, your sins are forgiven.'"
- Day 40 @53:28 - "He said, 'I commit my spirit to You,' knowing the whole time He was doing it by faith - in a man's body - trusting God."
- Day 40 @54:09 - "He's ready to die and He says, 'Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit.' What He's saying is, 'OK, I'm about ready to face what I am not. I'm Life. I'm not death. I'm the author and giver of life.'"
- Day 40 @1:06:58 - "What a humility. He's the Son of God and He's here as a man."
- Day 40 @1:19:47 - "Just know that one day all the demonic power, devils and everything are going to say, 'Jesus, You're Lord. We knew it all the time.'"
- Day 44 @59:37 - "But Father we thank You that the Truth has come and revealed the truth about us."
- Day 46 @17:33 - "I want you to see that the love of Christ is judging something here - that if One died - capital O - meaning Jesus..."
- Day 46 @45:47 - "When Jesus was here men judged Him according to the flesh. And when they judged Him according to the flesh could they ever see who He really was? Do you see what I mean? But now He rose from the dead and the cat's out of the bag and He's the Lord and Savior - Name above every name. So we're not going to limit that now [see Him like that now]. When He was here men were weighing Him according to what? The flesh. Could they appreciate and see who He really was - even though He was manifesting the Spirit? They were still judging Him according to the flesh." [If Jesus was just a man there would be nothing more to appreciate and see. Something more than even a man manifesting the Spirit.]
- Day 48 @6:02 - [Thanksgiving for Christ's body] "You didn't ask us to do one thing that You haven't already modeled. There's nothing You're demanding of us that You haven't come and given first. Man, I so honor that. That's amazing. It doesn't seem like You would have had to do that. You're Almighty God. You could have just made requests and demands. Instead You came in the likeness of man and You walked in the flesh and You modeled love. You modeled surrender. You modeled selflessness.... What a Teacher. What an example. What a God."
- Day 48 @36:52 - "Now we're in Christ. Christ is revealed. He's King of kings, Lord of lords, Name above every name, all authority in heaven and earth, and He's inside of us.
- Day 49 @12:40 - [Woman at the well] "Jesus is so humble. He's amazing. Think about that man. She's talking to the One that nothing was made unless it was made through Him. And she said, 'Are you greater than our father Jacob?' because she doesn't know. Jesus is just amazing. He's standing there in the flesh. It's just humbling."
- Day 49 @1:00:48 - [Speaking of the giving of the Holy Spirit] "And look what the Father will do. 'He will give you another...' The word 'another' is 'allos' in the Greek. It means the same kind as - just like."
- Day 49 @1:04:09 - "They're looking at Truth and can't even see Him. They are at Lazarus' tomb and all they can see is death and Life is standing right in front of them. He's the Son of God. Nothing was made that wasn't made through Him. And He came into the world and the world didn't know Him. That's the paradox - that's the blight of the fall - that's the tragedy of the fall of man."
- Day 49 @1:42:48 - "This is why they can be three in one. Like you've got the love, the grace and the communion - Father - Son - Holy Spirit. Wow. So you've got the Father whose love released the grace through the life of Jesus - the sacrifice - the Lamb of God - the Lion of the tribe of Judah. And then you've got Holy Spirit. But how can they be one? Because you can't separate them from will, intent, character, nature. They are absolutely one."
- Day 49 @1:43:42 - "Everything we see Jesus do and say, it's the Father. That's why he said He's the visible image of the invisible God. He's the expressed image of His Person. When you see Me, you've already seen Him. There's nothing that you've seen in Me that isn't who He is... I always say it like this. I say Jesus is the 'tada' of God. God just came out like He is in the flesh - Tada! - through the person of Jesus.
- Day 50 @3:02 - "He's going to teach us all things and bring to our remembrance everything that Jesus said. Isn't that amazing. What a friend. He's not just going to give us His advice. He says He's not going to speak on His own authority. Why? Because the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are one - because their will is the same - because their character - their nature - it's three in one. You can't separate who they are. Yet they seem to have a function in our life - the love of the Father - the grace through Jesus - and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit."
- Day 50 @5:38 - "When Jesus goes, He sends another Helper, just like Me - 'allos', in the Greek. He's the same kind as Me. He's like Me. He's the way I am. He's literally who I am. He's - the Spirit is the Lord. And where the Spirit of the Lord is there's liberty. Do you get it? Oh my goodness that is so powerful to me. And it's to our advantage. Why? If Jesus goes, Holy Spirit will do in His absence what Jesus would do if He was here Himself - only, He'll do it in as many as would believe."
From HCSKL 2010:
- Day 3 @0:37 - "Then Pilate said something amazing. He said, 'What is truth?' Well, Jesus."
- Day 3 @5:36 - "Jesus said, 'I am the Truth.' So He's not just preaching truth. He is the Truth."
- Day 3 @6:45 - "We let other things be truth in our minds and hearts. He's the Truth. He's not a truth. He's THE Truth. He's like not an avenue to the Father. He's THE Way."
- Day 3 @19:45 - "In fact, would we know love - would we really know love if Jesus never came in the flesh? Would we? There's no way."
- Day 3 @41:21 - "And then all you can do is limp along and somehow trust He's good - and when we get there we'll understand, praise God. No, we're to understand now because the Light has come. Jesus' life is the revelation of the will of God and the Father. Period. Don't let anything else define God or you'll be deceived. How's that for a point blank statement? If you let anything but the life of Jesus define God, you'll be deceived. I'll go this far: if you're belief system isn't in agreement with the life of Jesus lived, change your belief system. How's that? Is that fair? Why? Because He came and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. He came to His own, His own didn't see Him, receive Him or believe in Him. Why? Because they were so twisted from the fall that when Truth came it looked nothing like what they called truth - to the point - to the radical point that they put Him finally on a cross and felt justified in doing so... God didn't just preach a sermon to us and write us a book to follow. He didn't just write us a book to follow. He, in power, gave us a Life to follow. He made this book a Life named Jesus and dwelt among us. And Jesus said, 'Follow Me.'"
- Day 3 @49:00 - "And we miss what He is saying: 'I am the Truth. My life lived is revealing truth. Follow Me.' ... He [Jesus] is the 'tada' of God Almighty - God in the flesh."
- Day 3 @59:06 - "Here's what I do: 'Father, You know my heart. You know all things.' It's like Peter, 'You know Lord. You know I love you. You know all things.'"
- Day 4 @1:56:41 - "If the only measuring stick of love is Christ crucified and His life revealed and God is love and Jesus became the Word and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, then I am pursuing the revelation of love through Christ in His life - the message He made and the message He sent to me and who I am through Him coming. I meditate there."
- Day 4 @2:09:37 - "Who's the truth in? [Jesus] In nothing else. He's not a truth. He's the Truth."
- Day 4 @2:21:52 - "Come on. He's the Son of God. And He came in the likeness of flesh to show us what flesh is to look like and what it was created to look like. Is this true or not? Was this mind in Christ? So He wasn't high minded and haughty even though He was the Son of God. The only begotten. The firstborn among many. Watch... He made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant and coming in the likeness of man - and being found in the appearance as a man. But He was a Son wasn't He? And He was still the Son of God wasn't He?"
- Day 5 @1:08:01 - "The way we do that is we look at Jesus' life lived and then we understand the love of God through Jesus' life. We understand His attitude - His motivations. We understand the heart of the Father when we look at Jesus' life. And all of the sudden we have something to follow. It's not just scripture. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us."
- Day 5 @1:21:32 - "There is only one who can mediate between God and man, the Man - capital “M” - He’s Man. He’s God."
- Day 5 @1:59:17 - "He didn't think nothing of stopping a funeral. Why? Because He's the Author and Giver of Life and death had no dominion or power where He was concerned."
- Day 6 @1:08:20 - "Who's our wisdom? Jesus is the wisdom of God.
- Day 6 @1:43:57 - "Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world when He sent His Son and showed us what truth really looks like? He came to His own and His own received Him not. The world created through Him and the world knew Him not. Why? Because of perversion - the perversion of the fall. Man's eye and pespective got totally contorted, twisted and perverted and it turned inward - self-centered and deceived."
- Day6 @2:12:05 - "And now he's wrapping it up saying Christ Jesus is now your wisdom. He's the new source of wisdom - the fresh source. He's always been that but He's the conversion of your soul - the life of Jesus - who Jesus is. Jesus is now your wisdom. Any other way is not THE Way."
- Day 8 @1:52:50 - [Jesus' words to Dan:] "'Dan, I cried often when I walked the earth, in the flesh like this, crying for people created in My image who have no clue.'... And...I [Dan] realized... He came to His own and they received Him not. The world was created through Him and they knew Him not [see John 1:10-11]. The Truth was standing in front of them and they couldn't see past the lie."
- Day 8 @2:10:12 - "He's not just the Truth. He's the truth about you."
- Day 13 @6:16 - [Hypothetical comment from the Syrophoenician woman to Jesus] "But I am a person on the earth. I must have come from You."
- Day 13 @10:34 - "So we want Him to get way bigger than what seems to be life itself because He is life.
- Day 13 @10:43 - "Jesus is standing at Lazarus' tomb. He is the Author and Giver of Life. He's the Resurrection and the Life. And He is standing there - Jesus - and all they could see was death.
- Day 13 @11:44 - [Paraphrase of a conversation between Martha and Jesus] "'Oh, I believe he'll rise in the last day - in the resurrection.' [Jesus replies,] 'Martha, I am.' Get it in us God... Let it be my reality... 'I am, Martha. I am the resurrection and the life.'"
- Day 13 @13:10 - "Jesus is standing right in their midst. He is Truth Himself. He is Truth in the flesh. And they couldn't hear Him because they were consumed by lies. It says they received Him not. He came to His own and they knew Him not. Their minds had been so trained outside of God that when God stood in front of them, 'Who are you?'"
- Day 13 @15:58 - [Jesus groans] "He's face to face with the fall of man - people made in the similitude of God - that have succumbed to the fall. And He's come to redeem them... And He is standing there - nothing created that wasn't created through Him - and they couldn't see Him. And He groaned. And He is watching this. And He's hearing Mary and Martha and He's, 'I am the resurrection and the life. It's alright. Cheer up. I'm here. Let's go get Lazarus.' [But still there is mourning] Jesus groans..." [There was something more that they just didn't see.]
- Day 14 @5:35 - [Teaching on Col. 2:9] "Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily. So Jesus is the full expression. Jesus' life on the earth was the full expression of the Godhead bodily. When you see Him, you see the Father and He manifested clearly the work of Holy Spirit. True? And He was the Son of God. So He was the Word made flesh - the Christ. He's Jesus. So He is Jesus - the Son - but He revealed the Father and manifested the power of the Spirit. He's the fullness of the Godhead bodily."
- Day 14 @34:17 - "I think THE Way - I think THE Truth - and I think THE Life is Jesus."
- Day 14 @1:04:31 - "Even the centurions at the cross, 'Surely...' - after the fact - 'Surely, this must be the Son of God.' There is something about love and the expression of love that works in the hearts of men. Might not seem like it right now. But I'll tell you what. That centurion probably didn't have too much thought when they were tacking in the nails. But something happened between that short time and when He died." [They saw something more than man in Jesus.]
- Day 14 @1:22:00 - "Don't let the Godhead confuse you. Ok? They are three in One. They are God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit but they are one. Why are they one? Because you can't separate them from will, intent, integrity. They're the same - exactly the same - but yet they are three, but yet they're one. Does that make sense? They are completely in agreement - completely unified - completely in oneness. And they don't do anything apart from one another in the sense of will, intent, purpose, character, disposition."
- Day 14 @1:26:17 - "'Another' is the word 'allos' in the Greek. The word 'allos' means the same kind as - the same kind - the same kind as. 'Another' means the same kind as.... and then He's telling them, 'I'm going to be leaving.' And He's like, 'But man, don't get bummed out because I'm going to pray to the Father and He's sending another and He's going to come.' And here is literally what He is saying, 'And He will be in My absence what I would be if I was here Myself. He's Holy Spirit. We're one. He's another, Helper.'"
- Day 14 @1:43:35 - "We say it all the time - you don't know the word until you become the word. The word becomes flesh. If we are following Jesus that's what happened. The Word became flesh. Jesus was the 'tada' of God, in the flesh. The Word / flesh - 'Tada, the Word.'"
- Day 14 @1:44:25 - "Please read it in relationship. The Word is alive. It's active. God and His Word are one. 'In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God.'
- Day 14 @2:00:00 - "Your fellowship with Holy Spirit makes your life crystal clear - because He is bearing witness of truth constantly and pointing and testifying of Jesus, who is the truth. Jesus is the Truth."
- Day 14 @2:23:08 - "Lord Jesus, we love You and honor You. You are so my hero. You are the living epistle of love. You are truth revealed."
- Day 17 @6:40 - "In other words, God doesn't like... He's not haughty. He doesn't talk down to you. He [God] came in the likeness of flesh and meets you face to face. He doesn't lose His integrity but has the ability to come down on your level and speak face to face.
- Day 17 @9:38 - "What did Jesus do? Considered not Himself. But made Himself of no reputation. He laid down His glory. He came as a bondservant."
- Day 17 @19:05 - "He came in the likeness of flesh and He laid down His reputation - laid down His glory - made Himself of no reputation. He didn't come with [trumpet fanfare], 'I'm the Son of God and I'm here to save the day.'"
- Day 17 @20:13 - He did this thing just like a man. There's not one short cut. That's amazing! [acknowledging something other than just man]
- Day 17 @20:53 - [Speaking of Jesus] "And He is willing to go inside a woman and be born on the earth..."
- Day 17 @30:04 - "Even the Father's willingness to put flesh on His own begotten Son and put Him on the cross..."
- Day 17 @52:48 - [Jesus in heaven] "And yet He's King of kings and Lord of lords and Name above every name and yet there He is serving huminity with His life."
- Day 19 @0:15 - "If Jesus never came, we would never know what love is. Because God is love. Love comes from God. And God is love. And Jesus is the Word made flesh. So His life is the living epistle of love."
- Day 19 @14:32 - "What He said was, 'They're blind to truth. I'm the Truth. They haven't seen clearly yet. Would you forgive them.'"
- Day 19 @22:52 - "No, He was sad because the people were so lost they couldn't see the truth. And the Life was standing there and the Light was standing there and the Resurrection and power was standing there and they couldn't see past death. And He groaned and He wept."
- Day 19 @40:32 - "Jesus is what love looks like. He's the Word made flesh. If we didn't have the life of Jesus we could only talk about the nature of God through scripture. But we have the life of Jesus. So God didn't just preach to you. He came in power. The gospel is not word only but power. So He attached the demonstration of Jesus' life to the message of the word - the preaching of the word... In other words, He told us that the gospel is not in word only. So, ok, I'll send my Son and let Him become the Word. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. So it's love revealed.
- Day 19 @2:00:56 - "He's telling us to get our eyes off of what we thought was and get our eyes on Him. He's the true light. He's the message of truth. He's the Word of God revealed."
- Day 19 @2:01:49 - "So Love comes and nobody knows what love looks like. They're living in a lie. They're living in darkness. So Truth comes and nobody knows what truth is. We're living in darkness. The Light comes. 'What's that?'"
- Day 19 @2:20:16 - "When Jesus comes to His own - imagine this - the worlds wouldn't be if it weren't for Him - through Him all things exist and by His power all things exist - He upholds all things by the word of His power - and without Him no one would be. And when He comes to them it's not a happy reunion. They don't receive Him and they don't even know Him."
- Day 20 @24:47 - "He's the expressed - Hebrews 1 - the expressed image of the Father in His person. That's what Hebrews says Jesus is - the expressed image of His person - the Father. Man. Colossians says He is the visible image - Colossians 1:15 says He's visible image of the invisible God... ...but in these last days He has spoken through His Son, who is the expressed image of His person and the outwearing of His brightness and His glory. So when you see Jesus, you are seeing God revealed. And He's the living epistle of love. He's walking and living the heart of God."
- Day 20 @25:49 - [Participant comment on the word 'icon': an exact likeness] "Exactly." [Participant's comment continues, "That's what we see when we see Him - God."] "Right."
- Day 20 @26:08 - "The express image - when you hear that word, it's like, in full - it's in full - it's every detail without a doubt."
- Day 20 @26:32 - [Jesus' response to Philip - Show us the Father] "He's talking like He is the Father almost. 'Have you been with Me so long - that you don't know Me yet? For when you've seen me Philip, you've already seen the Father.' It's like, 'to know Me is to know the Him.' That's how precise He is talking there. 'To know Me is to know Him. The fact that you've met Me is like you've met Him.' So Jesus is the Father revealed."
- Day 20 @27:47 - "He has spoken. He has made an eternal statement through His Son. He has spoken. Truth is here to make us free."
- Day 20 @44:38 - "God so loved the world He gave His only Son. Who was His only Son? The Word made flesh. So God loved us so much He gave us His Word and manifested it through a man called Jesus."
- Day 20 @1:41:15 - "'... and the Word was God.'... Who is he talking about? The Word made flesh."
- Day 20 @1:47:33 - "No one has ever seen God until now. The Son of God has declared Him. That doesn't mean He has testified of Him, His life bore witness. He's the visible image of an invisible God. So, no one has seen God ever, but the only begotten Son has revealed Him to us. Now we've seen God because we've seen the Son."
- Day 20 @2:03:58 - "Now that Jesus has come we've got a real good, clear look at who He [the Father] is. We see who the Father is through the Son."
- Day 20 @2:20:17 - "He [Jesus] understands the weakness of man. He became a Man. He's not unable to sympathize with us in our weakness. He was tempted at all points. He knows what we're going through. He wore flesh."
- Day 21 @44:46 - "He doesn't just preach at you. Remember, Jesus' life is the Word of God revealed and lived. It's the power of God. It's not just word only. It's power. So Jesus came in the flesh - the Word was made flesh."
- Day 21 @45:59 - [God is love] "What's love look like? Jesus - in the flesh."
- Day 21 @1:48:57 - [Jesus speaks to the rich young ruler] "And Truth spoke in love."
- Day 22 @15:19 - [References to God coming in the flesh] "Just the fact that He came in the likeness of flesh says our place with the Father. It all reveals the 'I love you of God.' It speaks of your value - of your potential. Just the fact that He came reveals His heart towards us. How couldn't we trust Him guys? Come on. How couldn't He be good? We have to understand. Just the fact that He came and took on flesh - made Himself of no reputation and wore a body, if you will, on the earth - reveals this relationship He desires. It reveals the connection between God and man and our created value."
- Day 22 @26:55 - [Prayer addressed to the Father...] "This thing humbles us - the gospel. It humbles us because it's You [God] coming to man. It's You [God] coming in the likeness of flesh to send an eternal message of more than hope - but a message of true life."
- Day 22 @32:27 - "Jesus is everything. He's the truth."
- Day 22 @36:22 - [Jesus in heaven] - "There's only one Mediator between God and m-a-n - capital M-a-n - THE Man - Jesus Christ - meaning the anointed man."
- Day 22 @36:50 - "See, we just see Him as Jesus [i.e. divine] we forget that He was made to become a man. He took on the likeness of sinful flesh."
- Day 22 @38:22 - "And Jesus took flesh - and put on flesh and came in a flesh body so that I would qualify and get back to Papa and be one with Daddy God."
- Day 22 @37:26 - "He's the standard. And He's called Life. Anything outside of Him isn't life."
- Day 24 @1:25:45 - "He didn't come expecting you to bow down and serve Him and honor Him as God. [Implying that He actually is God but is not expecting that kind of treatment.] He laid that down and became a bondservant and took on the likeness of flesh. He didn't come sounding trumpets and preceded by angels. He didn't come in the way that we would think a King would come. True? Why? Because He's coming for more than to just esteem Him and honor Him. He's coming to restore us back to who we're called to be and what we're called to be. So He came and lived that. He came in the likeness of flesh. He made Himself, look, of no reputation. Woah. He called Himself the son of man."
- Day 25 @0:39 - "Jesus was a man. He was God but He came as a man in the flesh and took on the likeness of sinful flesh and gave His body... and what a message in that... the fact that He would go to the extreme of taking on flesh and shedding His blood and dying so we could live. It's pretty intimate. That's a powerful love thought."
- Day 25 @3:36 - "Father, we just thank You for the body that was given. You made Yourself of no reputation, Jesus. You came in the likeness of flesh. You became a bondservant, to the point of death - even death on a cross - and we thank You so much. You were a model - an example - of life to follow. You're the living epistle of love. You're the Son of God. And You were given to make us sons and daughters."
- Day 25 @4:38 - "And through the blood of a man, yet the Son of God, God sees every man through that blood, that would come by faith." ["yet" - i.e. something more than just a man]
- Day 25 @23:52 - "We are absolutely the body of Christ. A body expresses the thing inside. God put flesh on love. God put flesh on His own nature. He made man. He gave us flesh and made us in His likeness. Jesus took on flesh so that He could express and model the truth. Right? You live from the inside out."
- Day 25 @47:08 - [Dan imagines Jesus speaking from the cross] "He's not saying, 'Oh, you dummy. You'll never get it.' He's saying, 'You're created in My image and I believe that you'll get it and I'm dying for you. So how about getting up and living.'"
- Day 26 @1:14:15 - "Look, He came to a world void of truth. They didn't even know who He was. He came to His own. They received Him not. The worlds were made through Him and they knew Him not - Truth - standing right in front of them. They were so twisted, they were like, 'Who are you and what are you saying?' Do you get it? They were so twisted from the truth that when the Truth stood in front of them and manifested in bodily form, they couldn't perceive it as truth."
- Day 26 @2:20:55 - "Look how Jesus walked in a meekness though He was the Son of God. Think about that. It is amazing. I sit and just think about that and it just so impresses me. I've sat on my bed for hours and just thought about the crucifixion and the way people were talking and treating Him and yet He was the Son of God."
- Day 36 @11:58 - [Dan imagines the Syrophoenician woman speaking to Jesus] "But I believe that You love everyone... Everyone is created in Your image."
- Day 36 @18:45 - [Jesus in heaven] - "We have access to God because a man is there. And yet He is God. That's amazing."
- Day 40 @8:41 - "Every time you see Jesus speaking in the Bible, don't just think it's Jesus talking, realize [that] Him and the Father are one. It's the Father, literally, I like to see it this way, through Jesus and Jesus agreeing. Right? Is that powerful or what? I mean they are totally one. He even said [that] Holy Spirit won't speak on His own authority but only that which He hears. He says that. Only that which He hears - that means Holy Spirit is directly inspired and speaking from the Father's heart. And out of the heart the mouth speaks. It's just intimate to think that way. That's how three can one."
- Day 40 @13:59 - "And watch this - God knows absolutely everything, even the things you don't. And He still says what He says. And Jesus healed everybody. And Jesus knew everything.
- Day 40 @14:57 - "Jesus was moved with compassion. For the what? For the person in that situation [the person who was sick]. Because He's the Truth. All things were made through Him. He comes face to face with the fall of man and sees what wasn't designed by Him, in the sense of it's not His plan [the sickness]. Right? So He sets things straight. [He heals]"
- Day 40 @32:36 - [speaking of satan's strategy] - "If you were so freaked out by Jesus and knew He was King and Lord and He crushed you in every way but the only way that that could happen was through the people made in the image of God, wouldn't you go to the people made in the image of God and try to get them to not see what you know?"
- Day 40 @58:54 - "'Heal the sick,' verse 8 of Matthew 10, 'cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons.' Now watch - when Jesus is teaching He is Lord. He's Lord. He's Truth. He's Truth! And He is talking this direct."
- Day 40 @1:46:50 - "He said, 'Don't you call anyone teacher. You have one [teacher]. What's He saying? That if there's a teacher - a true teacher - he can only teach what I've taught. But don't let any one else be your teacher because there's no other truth outside of Me. Don't let experience be your teacher. Don't let the loss of a loved one be your teacher. Don't let your emotions be your teacher. Don't let human reasoning be your teacher. I'm your Teacher. You have One and it's Me and My life lived.'"
- Day 40 @2:08:45 - "The life of Jesus is God revealed. If you can't find it in His life, why is it in our mouth?"
- Day 41 @22:25 - "Jesus said, 'Me and the Father are one.' And we are trying to follow Jesus' life [through our own effort]. He and the Father are one. Do you see why we talked for about eight weeks on knowing Him and intimacy?"
- Day 41 @25:35 - "The will of God is only ever found through the life of Jesus lived. He is the will of God revealed. He is the "tada" of God. God came out like He is through Jesus. He put flesh on Jesus and sent Him as an ambassador of the Father. He's the full expression of His image and person, Hebrews says. He's the visible image of the invisible God. When you see Him, you see Father."
- Day 41 @26:06 - "You cannot allow a belief in your life that can't be found in the life of Jesus because He's not just Word only, He's power. So He gave us His Word and then sent Him in human form and demonstrated it. So it's Word in action. So the life of Jesus is the action of God. It's God putting the Word into action. It's the Word becoming flesh and dwelling among us. Watch - the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. And now we know God through the Word that lives. You can't look anywhere else."
- Day 41 @27:45 - "You're in the garden, before sin, as if you've never eaten [from] the tree, through Christ. The tree is still there and the voice is still speaking. Follow God. God is Jesus."
- Day 41 @35:00 - "How are you going to get understanding unless you fill your heart with truth. And the word is truth. Jesus is truth. Jesus is the Word. Do you see how literal this is? Jesus is the way, the truth... I say to people, 'Truth is my best friend. His name is Jesus.' Truth - His life is truth to me. Right? He's also the Word. Jesus is the Word. He was in the beginning. He was with God. But He's Jesus now. Why is the Word Jesus? Because God made the Word flesh and dwelt among us. So He put a body on the Word. That's incredible to me."
- Day 41 @1:16:09 - "I said, 'Son I see Jesus and He is King."
- Day 41 @2:16:55 - "Please don't let human experience ever have the right to challenge God and dictate God's word. That is the biggest, in my opinion, the biggest error that people make - the church makes - defining God through human experience. It's the biggest mistake. You define God through Jesus. '...Whoever believes that Jesus is the Christ..." - that's God's anointed One - that's the Messiah - that's the deliverer - the Christ - the One that's anointed, with the ability to anoint. '... is born of God...'"
- Day 42 @1:03:56 - "After the fall we didn't look anything like we were created to look - nothing - to the point where Jesus came to His own and they knew Him not."
- Day 42 @1:04:18 - "He wept at Lazarus' tomb because the life and the light and the resurrection and the life is standing there at Lazarus' tomb. You know the story. He's standing there and all they could see was death."
- Day 42 @1:06:32 - "He said to Martha, 'I am the resurrection and the life.'"
- Day 42 @1:08:05 - [Jesus at Lazarus' tomb] "He is standing there - the resurrection and life and all they can see is death."
- Day 42 @1:09:03 - [Jesus at Lazarus' tomb] "He's standing face to face with people made in the image of God and they can't see God [=Jesus] because of the lie - and He is standing right there in the flesh - and speaking out of His mouth - into their tangible, audible ears. And they can't hear or see."
- Day 42 @1:09:45 - [Jesus at Lazarus' tomb] "He's face to face, as a man, with a people made in His image. Those people weren't made unless they were made through Him."
- Day 42 @1:17:41 - "So you gain understanding through Him. 'In all your getting get understanding' - through Him - through Truth - Wisdom."
- Day 42 @1:23:02 - "I feel proud of the uniform I'm in - the armor I wear. It's been earned by a King. His name is Jesus and He thinks I look good in it."
- Day 42 @1:34:34 - [Christ] "He's the author and finisher of my faith."
- Day 43 @2:26:00 - "You always have to go back to Jesus. He's the author and finisher of your faith. You look unto Him."
- Day 45 @39:10 - "And He showed me, and I believe this and I believe we'll find this... that on His nights - all night - when He didn't sleep on the mountain - a lot it was curled in a ball - just crying profusely because of the fall of man and the will of God to restore - becasue of the blindness - and Truth standing in front of men and men refusing to see - and all that stuff - and death being dominant over life in their minds even though Life [was standing in front of them]."
- Day 45 @2:11:01 - "Boy, thank God, Jesus, half way up Golgotha, 'You don't know what I'm going through. I've had enough. You guys expect the world of Me...' Can you even picture Him saying that? Then why do we picture us saying that when we're in His image?"
- Day 47 @12:35 - [Testimonies of healing & receiving communion] "And it's all because of what we are doing right now - the reason this is possible - because a Man named Jesus came and He was God but He was made to be a man and He shed His blood and gave His body to redeem us."
- Day 47 @16:11 - [During a prayer of thanksgiving to the Father] "That You put flesh on Your Son Jesus - that You made what was Spirit... and You caused it to be flesh - and come through the womb of a woman - just like we all have - didn't take a short cut - came as a Man - came through the womb of a woman - needed His little cloths [diapers] changed - needed to be breast fed - needed to use the restroom like every one of us. It's amazing to me. You didn't take a shortcut - You became a Man. You sweated in the heat. You walked and got tired - it's revealed in John 4. You came in the likeness of sinful flesh but yet You never sinned - Your heart one with the Father - showing us the way - living a life that we're created to live - living a life that we were destined for. And You brought us all back to Truth because Truth came and dwelt among us. Thank You that the Word was made flesh."
- Day 47 @18:56 - "Thank You King Jesus."
- Day 48 @22:46 - "'Well, I thought the Lord was Jesus.' Well, it's the Spirit of the Lord. It's not hard. 'The Lord is the Spirit.' So they're one in the same. They are three in one."
- Day 48 @56:56 - "Because blood of the innocent Lamb Jesus - Lion of the tribe of Judah - How's that? Lion / Lamb - His blood is on the mercy seat."
- Day 48 @59:08 - "But you have to understand He's in a man's body. He's still a man. Timothy, the book of Timothy calls Him THE Man. Sometimes we see Him as a spirit. Sometimes we see Him as just King of kings, Lord of lords - eyes, flame of fire - you know. You need to understand how legal and powerful this is. He's a flesh and bone body - and His innocent blood on the mercy seat. Satan can't stop the mercy of God.
- Day 48 @1:46:05 - "But He came representing the Father. When you see Him, you see the Father."
- Day 50 @11:37 - "So, who is the Son? [Jesus] And He is the Truth. 'I'm THE Truth.'"
- Day 50 @12:41 - "So, continue in truth. It's our best friend. His name is Jesus - Truth. And it's the Word of God."
- Day 50 @1:47:36 - "And Jesus Christ, in the flesh, is the will of God revealed. Jesus' life is the will of God revealed. Some translations say, where, 'the word became flesh,' it says, 'And the Word became a human being.'"

Awakening @ FUMC - 1 - Friday Night - Aug. 2018:
- @1:13 - [Persecution of Jesus] "Truth - every day in their streets - Truth - total, crystal clear Truth, every day - and all they did was listen for what they didn't agree with and could never hear what He said - and killed Him and thought they were right. That's scary - that total Truth could stand in front of you every day and you can't hear it."
Awakening @ FUMC - 3 - Saturday Night - Aug. 2018:
- @1:14 - "He's total Truth and they were sure He was a liar. He was total Truth - Jesus - and they were sure He was a liar... So they put Him on a cross. Wow, that's scary. That's frightening - that Truth , itself, could be standing in front of men and their motive decides what they hear."
- @1:41:39 - [As part of demonstrating intimate prayer communion with Jesus:] "You are God and You came in the flesh."
Outreach Church - Wednesday Night - March 20, 2019:
- @24:58 - "Of course [already well appreciated by the hearers] He [Jesus] is God almighty - omnipotent. I get all that."
- @50:21 - "When you put those kind of thoughts in Jesus' mouth it sounds ridiculous. So it ought to sound ridiculous in ours. We're made for His image.
- @52:19 - [1 John 4:2] "Why is that the barometer to test the spirit - whether it's of God or not - that it confesses that Jesus came in the flesh? Why isn't it that Jesus is Lord - that Jesus is the Son of God? Why isn't it [the test] more spiritual? Why is the barometer that Jesus came in the flesh? Because the lying spirits, the things that don't want to acknowledge this thing, don't want you and me to ever see what was accomplished through His flesh - and what we've become because of it - doesn't want us ever to step into the finished work [of Christ]. Just pay homage to Him and bless our food and 'Now I lay me down to sleep.'"
New Life Church - 1 of 2 - Saturday Evening - September, 2019:
- @46:37 - "But we didn't learn that from Him [Jesus] - because you can't even find it in Him. And when you try to put it in Him it sounds silly. It sounds goofy. So it ought to sound goofy in us if we're made for His image... If the Truth came and didn't teach us to think that way..."
Generations Church - First Love Conference - 10:30 AM Sunday - January 21, 2020
- @0:59 - "...I heard the gospel my whole life but I couldn't get over that God would come in the flesh - that God would put Himself in a woman and be born of a woman... that He would actually come and become a man... that God would put Himself in the womb of a woman. Like - that's the Lord - and He is just sitting in there crockpotting for nine months. The Lord! - that nothing was made that wasn't made through Him - that holds all things together by the word of His power - He's a little tiny fetus curled up in the womb of Mary - mind boggling! He must really be on a mission. Let's not miss the mission."
Dan Mohler Ministering Freedom Because We are Free - Power & Love - Jan. 2020
- @12:58 - "He's name above every name. God has raised Him and exalted Him above every name when He raised Him from the dead. But when you look at His earthly life - His earthly ministry - the Jesus you are following as a model of God in a man, He doesn't want you to put Him on a pedestal. He wants you to realize His Spirit is willing to follow where Jesus went and take you there like He took Him there. He doesn't want you to put Him on a pedestal in His earthly ministry. Todd was talking about Jesus coming as a man. People get so mad when you preach that. The deception is that if all you ever see Him as is God, you have nothing to follow because you can't follow God. But you can follow a man empowered by God.
Griner Church - Friday night - 2/28/2020:
- @10:20 - 12:18 - "He couldn't take a shortcut. And this impresses me... because He's God."
- @34:58 - 35:28 - [He had to] "... submit Himself to live in a man's body. He was the Son of God. He was from the beginning. He always was with the Father. And now for 30 years He's just living as a man, waiting for the day..."
- @38:20 - 39:50 - "He called Himself the Son of man. He must want you to see that. Come on. We're not doing the deity of God [referring to Jesus] injustice when we talk about Jesus coming as a man. A lot of people say, 'Yeah but He was 100% God.' And we want to fight. And nobody is saying anything wrong [i.e. saying anything different - i.e. Nobody is saying that He's not 100% God]. Jesus said that He was the Son of man. Paul said that there is one Mediator between God and man and it's THE Man. He didn't say the God. He said the Man. He's [Paul is] still making Him a Man but He is God. And He's the name above every name. And He's the Lord of all. But He is still a man."
Griner Church - Saturday Evening - 2/29/2020:
- @7:41 - A lot of the emphasis on Jesus is His deity. He didn’t want you to emphasize His deity if you look at His language.
